Hi, I have just downloaded the files and can't find a problem. These files have been available for over 18 month and have been downloaded over 20,000 times. You are the first person to say that they don't work. Please send me more info, which exact file you tried to use, which cutting software you are using etc, and I will try to help.

Hi, please excuse me if the following is telling you things that you already know. We upload our files in 4 formats- Corel Draw, this is the source file and we upload it for people who want to make changes to our designs. Adobe Illustrator, this is for people who have Adobe and want to make changes. PDF, this is for people who have some other software and want to make changes. DXF, these files are for people who can import the cutting file direct into their cutting software. If you have Lightburn we would suggest that you use the DXF files if they suit your machine cutting area. I have just done a test and will tell you step by step how I did it. 1/ I put a new folder on my desktop called Book Box into which I will download the files. You could download to whatever folder suits you. 2/ I opened the FREELASERFILES webside and went to the book box page. I downloaded the zipped files into my desktop Book Box folder. Closed down the website. 3/ I opened the download and pressed the “Extract all” button and the Extract button to place the files in the folder. I closed the folders. 4/ I opened Lightburn and imported the file from Desktop - Book Box - Book Box files to download - Parts fit within 380mm x 380mm cutting area - Book Box Sheet 1 dxf The file is now open in Lightburn showing the three colors needed. I am not sure where the other colors you mention are coming from as I don’t know what software you are using. Hope this helps.

Hi, when I import the file into lightburn I get different numbers. I can tell you that the Black lines are cutting lines which need to cut through the material. Both the Red and Blue lines are score lines which need to cut into the material but not through the material. Usually our part numbers are drawn in red, but on the book box they were drawn in blue because someone requested numbers as fills. Hope this helps.

Hi, Im not sure what you mean by how long will it last. If you mean how long will the can last, mine holds enough to do hundreds of models. If you mean how long does it last on the models, the brand I use dries, but it still seems to work after many months. Hope this helps.

Hi, no I don't thin the glue. It is titebond 3 wood glue and I use 18g blunt needles. Please keep in mind that when I build for the videos it is done very quickly to keep the video short. I never have problems with the joints but wood glue should be spread on both surfaces.

@freelaserfiles I bought the same little bottles you have and the same needle, and when I glue, it goes a lot slower. I use Titebond 2.

Hi, all the glueing in the videos is sped up by 3.3 times. If I was to show glueing at the correct speed the videos would be very long and very boring.

any wood glue will work fine

Hi, I use titebond 3 wood glue in the videos, but any wood glue would work. When I build the models in the videos it is done quite quickly to keep the videos short. The glueing is not done carefully and I still get no problems with weak joints. Hope this helps.
