Hi thank you for this file it turned out great I have made some of your files and thank you again for sharing them I have a 10w laser and enjoy making things on so keep up the good work Cheers Russ
Love the video, and I wish there were more laser files like yours available! I got through my first one but not without a few hiccups. (I'm making two of these as gifts, I would never sell them!) I was not sure if some of the lines should be cut, scored or filled, so it took some trial and error. I'm not sure if that's normal using Lightburn on my XTool D1 10w. But my main question is about the part numbers. You used them in the video but I never saw them anywhere else, I just had to watch the video very closely and match things up. Did I miss something in the documentation? Anyway, it's only a problem because I probably used twice as much material as stated to get everything cut, and I never did have that one score line. Also, the sizes of material you stated are just weird. Noone sells those sizes! What's up with that? I'm in the US and buying from Amazon. (That's another reason I used more sheets of material - even though the square inches are the same, some of the designs just don't fit on the sizes that are available to me, so I had a lot more waste.) Still, aside from the problems I am very pleased with the box and your work that you are offering for FREE. Just thought my comments might help someone else who might attempt this project! God Bless!
Hi thanks for your comments and questions. A file instruction sheet is available to download with each model. The instructions let you know that the black lines are cutting lines, the red lines are score lines and the blue lines mark the areas to be filled with engrave. All the parts are numbered but the numbers are small and in a position where it will not show on the finished model. If I can't put the number where it will be covered, it is put near the part on each layout. All the numbers can be seen in the video, but because they are small, most of the time it is difficult to see them. To help with this a numbers parts label is shown at the top left of each build section in the video. The layouts are to suit laser cutting areas. I make sure that each individual part will fit with the cutting area of Glowforge lasers or most popular diode lasers which tend to have a cutting area of 400mm x 400mm. Obviously I can't nest the parts to suit every machine, so I attach a file with all the parts laid out so the people can nest them to suit their laser cutting area. Many companies on line sell stock to fit the Glowforge and I have found 16" x 16" material on Amazon and Etsy. We intend to start listing materials on Etsy, with a link from our website, for people who have trouble finding stock. We are in Florida so hopefully shipping will not be too high for our U.S. viewers. Hope this helps and thank you again for the comments and questions, and please subscribe to our channel to help us continue..
Hi, it all depends on which model and which type of joint. Slots and tabs could be left for a few hours or overnight. Glueing the lid on the heart box, the panels were probably left for an hour or so. Please keep in mind that when we are filming the instruction videos, a lot is happening, so it could take us an hour or so to move from step to step. It will also depend what you are making the models out of and the type of glue you are using. We know the some people use CA, superglue, and accelerator, so their joints are instant. Hope this helps.

How long do you let the glue dry until you take off the clamps?
