@@MrBru1985 good luck with the totem. I'd recommend stocking up to spam try getting a good one. You could also get a level 4 totem or whatever and stick with that then make another to try to max out since they blow up after level 3. That's what I did, at least. Limits do suck ass. I think they are planning something, though, in terms of content. It's all reliant on the new engine. But yeah, the refine update needs another refine, haha. Thank you, MrBru. Appreciate it!

@@diehorribly9333 I've thought about what they can do and it's going to be all on how popular it will be. When we had two servers before(nao and alexina) alexina died out to the point where the server was almost useless to play on. A new server would be dope for economy and progress sake, though. Will make the community on that server feel more authentic.

Well, I do know the netcode and just the whole backend are being completely reworked but that will only go so far for you since you are on the other side of the world from the server, : / I could suggest exitlag which I know makes a huge difference for a lot of people with latency issues. With what I know about unreal engine 5, there's a ton of resources dealing with pathfinding built into the engine using ai. We will just have to hope it's all good haha

I think pixelization and polygons was the og look. For a lot of us that have been around for awhile it's going to be strange not seeing that anymore. Sorta like how new outfits in the game have a different skeleton and are smooth compared to like the succubus bodysuit from easy back in the day haha

I just really hope it's not rushed. If it comes out with bugs and in a unplayable state, that could be disastrously bad for the game. Game industry scares me like that all the time....

I think it will be mixed opinions. I am far more concerned about gameplay. There's no way it will be a 1:1 feel to what we have right now. It also makes me think how do I want this game to feel? This new look will def get people wanting to try the game, though

@Ballpuncher I agree. Mabinogi in my opinion has always been THE BEST and most versatile when it comes to mechanics of an MMORPG I've ever seen. I know cuz I've tried literally DOZENS of MMORPGs over the span of 15-17 years and they all don't cone close to what I've experienced in Mabi. I've seen mabi evolve over the years mechanics wise, and economy wise so it's like seeing my child grow up. I hope and pray they don't mess up the mechanics with the new graphics cuz if so then there will be a problem. The mechanics we have rn are great.

@@devontetheone with the emphasis we are seeing on style being near the same, I think they are def taking that to all aspects of the game. It's really scary, though. It's going to be a interesting next few years I think as we learn more haha

hahaha, dude, I think they are so proud that characters will have movable fingers and just more joints to work with over the current engine. It's going to be so much better for them when creating new animations for outfits and stuff.

I think that's a tough gamble since I know this version will have so many bugs whenever it comes out. I also don't want to rush art. There's so much this game needs but I'm happy we get almost monthly QoL updates now to update a lot of the archaic ways. It's a process! I like to think of Dayz if you know the history of that game. It took 10 years to implement a new engine and during that time the community struggled and complained so much, but now the game is more healthy than ever! So, maybe Mabi will have a similar XP????

I am really digging their commitment to retaining the style of mab we all know. It's going to be such a delicate balance and I am not sure they will be able to please everyone. Especially since the community is so critical all the time, too, haha

I feel gameplay demos are like still a year away AT LEAST. I guess we just have to have patience, haha.

I wonder if the music will be remastered as well. If they did a remaster, I sorta would like the option to switch between versions. That would be neat.

If they do remaster songs, I hope they do more songs than they did the last two times, so it can be consistent and not fall back to midi songs so often. But this is just one of the orchestral versions that's already in the game.

@@pixelsilzavon77 I would love the options to change between them. I don't know about you, though, I play without in-game music, haha. However whenever I turn it on again, it's def a nice moment to hear that music. I can't see them not remastering music, though.

​A remake of all music in an orchestra style would be amazing, G1 Albey Dungeon, G11 Uroboros, G12 Nuadha, and Fiodh Final boss, would sound even more majestic.

@@angelwater8987 I'm pretty skeptical, too. But the game obviously can't continue on the current engine as you may already understand. It's really a make it or break it time for the game

Probably not anytime soon as gameplay probably requires more finetuning- especially when they're still working on assets and animation (seeing the trailer, that seems to be what the focus is on) Even more when you consider that in the current dev update global has, the first thing mentioned was resolving netcode, new scripts (and data) presumably for things like AI on the mob pattern and so on. I'd imagine gameplay will remain more or less the same, just more stable and fluid, like fixing pathfinding, making animations more clear (lasers in glenn hardmode constantly being on screen than disappearing sometimes to invisible walls), changing the current camera to hide walls when its in the way, etc. I actually think they shouldn't make any major changes to the core gameplay feel. Balance is a whole other topic. I'm personally more excited to see changes on things like UI, being able to configure out keybinds more, move our skill hotbars around, have more hotbars at our choice kind of like ffxiv, more out of combat quality of life changes in pet inventory (not waiting 1m to organize pets), something to reset cooldowns out of combat (going into missions reset cooldown), etc. Make the game feel less like a slog.

@@Neptunyan You dev seem to know more about this than I do, haha. But I do enjoy the "concept" or whatever it was of the UI in the movement clip in the mabi eternity blog. It looked a lot cleaner, though I wonder how it will look when you start adding all the icons we are used to in the current game. I also really hope they study ff14 and other mmos to get a good idea of what is working since I feel a lot of things in mab are def outdated and not up to par

Depending on what level your s rank is, you can just reset to take the "a" route. Probably best to weigh your options on what to do. Yeah, pretty annoying, but the cool thing is it's getting cheaper and master plan is soon so you may get a higher erg success rate

You can usually find them for around 1m gold. I'd get one of those, and then get smash enhancement with head, gloves, and shoes. Make sure those three items are pre r1, too. @@filipevasconcelos4409 if you get your combat skill power to 2000 and life skill power to 800, you unlocked all levels of your stardust quests. Stardust is amazing and you should do it while master plan is going on since it's 2x the materials per quest. You can also use a elixir with it to get 4x the mats per quest completion

eiry one is free and the beginner one, the next three are free as well just need to go to the druid house to make a contract, the last three you need a spirit weapon additional contract coupon for each. You can buy those off the auction house for 15-20 million gold or with nx. Soonish we will be getting a 8th slot you can use, as well!

@@Ballpuncher I ran with gear my guild master crafted for me from his tech duinn runs without enchants and as soon as I applied even the most basic i went from barely hitting 900 damage on my character screen to going past 1080 lol.

@@Ballpuncher I think the geas armor he gave I should keep but the weapon is definitely starting to feel a bit stale, I saw a 2 handed the game gives out for free with higher max attack just for clearing peaca abyss 5 times and I was wondering if i should move on to that until I have the ability to craft myself a better weapon. I think that rapier the dungeon gives functions the same as a great sword doesnt it?

So you cannot stack any skill potion, aka music pot, with an all skill potion. You can stack skill or all skill potions with a prism or a 2x skill title, etc. Also, the master plan event is a week or so away which will give you a big buff in training multipliers so get ready for that. so, it's wonky as fuck, haha. You gotta aim just to the side of your target(s). So, basically just have to train yourself to aim to the side instead on directly on the target. You need to brio to cut physical damage. Prag is the magic cutter. I am pretty sure pragging or brio is perma so dont worry about that. and other debuffs work without using those.

Yeah, so I have been planning to make a video about getting started. However, they are redoing everything in the beginning so I am waiting for that to happen. The beginning of the game is a joke, though. It's awful. Let me know if I can help.
