Yeah, thankfully they extended a lot of debuffs durations at least. So we pretty much don't need to worry about those for awhile. But yeah, I feel like half the game is keeping up buffs and debuffs : /
When I first started Mabinogi 15 years ago, I had a character out of no where just help me with skills and leveling. He said its to help him in the future when he need me to do hard run. At the time it was Ciar Int + 4. Now all these new stuff came out I am glad I got someone who can add inisght on how I can catch up on Damages. Hiatus of 8 years, but glad Mabinogi is still good to play.
Nice sound effects lol. I use holy flames as well, if you are really dedicated and don't mind a little carpal tunnel, you can get an extra 6 protection in total across your equips. Everything adds up! But warning, the rng is pretty fierce with this roll. You may end up using 200-300 holy flames (on average) just to get that 1 coveted protection point on that single equip. Godspeed!
@@Ballpuncher Hahaha the things we do man, the things we do for the little things! 🤣 I have to have protection on everything, with the exception of weapons. It will probably cost anywhere between 10-20m in holy flames to do all your gear just to get those protection points. You get a new piece of gear, which is a task in of itself. Then you gotta enchant it, then you gotta reforge it, upgrades, special upgrades, erg...oh but wait there's more! Holy flame! lol.
@@Ballpuncher Oh side note: you forgot Goddess's Grace, I know it's small but it does offer 2 protection and lasts a week. You get them from doing replays or you can buy them from players off of the auction house.
Another use for Magic power potions, though kind of minor, is increasing your magic attack to passively increase your Mana Shield efficiency. It's not much, but it's something if you have them laying around or about to expire. 👍 Good Mood effect from Japari Bus/Festia/Crom campfires is getting no love here. Perfectly understandable why you'd skip it! lol. It's better used for combat exp rather than as a damage boost, and takes way too long to activate for how little it gives in the grand scheme.
Yeah, I just try to have the basic foundation without going into stuff you gotta pay for or that are way too extra for someone just starting out, haha. I actually debated adding whale stuff since you get one included with VIP but I still don't want to touch that stuff yet, haha

Maybe it's situational? I still swear by them in almost all content. Especially Glenn's and crom since you need all the protection you can get. You can probably switch out dampen shock more easily since defense is not nearly as important. But I'd say Damien shock and blunting field are hard to get rid of since they make you so tanky
Do the astro debuffs/buffs stack onto each other from each skill? Example: lower enemy defense 2 on nova and stellar both give -20 defense, will it be -40 if you land both?
how do u have so many characters at end game? I have a human at like 30k ttl only but i really think i would enjoy giant and wish they would just release payed race change.. but it took me like 11 years to get the human anywhere decent. And if i ever made a giant I'd want to focus them on one stat/arcana only honestly...
These master plan events are crazy for leveling a character fast. If you do the blannid story line on a new character, that's 20k levels and then the master plan multipliers and buying rebirths off the auction house can get you 200 levels in literally one room of a tech mission. Not to self-promote, but check out my leveling and stats guide if you want to see all the things to do in order to increase your, well, levels and stats, haha. Let me know if you need anything. They do not stack. Wouldn't that be insane? Haha. The stronger buff overrides the weaker, though. Butt yeah, no stacking
