yep this covers all reasonable debuffs but fantastic chorus, fantastic chorus decreases enemys str, dex, int and will by a % amount that directly effects def, mdef, and mprot, but not prot since that one isnt effected by those stats. im not sure on what kind of stats enemys do have in higher difficultys, but if we were to assume something similar to 1500, thats still -45 def and mdef, and -22.5 mprot with the added bonus of decreasing there damage

For the sake of maximizing damage, you should put FW at the front of the debuffs instead of near the end of the combo (for the start of a bossing). This is due to the fact that Fate Weaver cuts a percent based on CURRENT Protection/Defense. Since the start of the fight is when you blow the strongest techs. (Time Shift + Whatever else). Afterwards it's fine to just apply it at the end. I.E. if a monster has 300 protection and you use FW (3152) it would cut 36 rather than post-cut say -90 so it's at current 210 protection it would only cut 25 Protection. For ease of use I would just use 42 or just 2 depending on the monster. If a monster were to have more than 160 or more protection (76% damage reduction) the extra 2% cut won't do much since it would only cut minimal of 4. But that 4 cut won't push the damage reduction if you look at the Protection Chart. I.E. 160 protection if you use 42 it would bring it down to 140 protection which equals to 73% damage reduction. At the same time if you use 2 it would bring it down to 144 protection which is still equal to 73% damage reduction. If by chance it does push it , it would only be +1% more damage (1% less damage reduction). Which for newer players won't really matter but for the sake of "maximizing damage" it would. This idea only really matters in Crom or anywhere that has a massive amount of prot. Other than that, the video is pretty spot on. (Little late I just saw this in my feed and decided to check it out.)

Mainly, I thought about the most casual one and would require the least about of work to apply it. Actually, as you have and others pointed out, I didn't even consider doing FW first, so I guess I learned something, too! Thank you! @@Ballpuncher So, I went around doing some testing and found out that Aspect of Reversal is capped at 100 damage from the bonus damage. I initially thought it was 100 times as in hits. So, the correction would be just using 42 instead of 52. Since 42 would buff the -prot. There's literally no reason to us 3152 unless you want the added bonuses of less damage / slower movement on monster. Tested with Magic in Provo due to the fact that magic is 100% balance and you will see cap. Damage = 60,340 Damage with just FW(5) = 60,444. (Extra 4 because of bonus damage items up to 4%) So TL;DR just 42 everything. I'll edit my post just incase someone reads it by chance.
this is really useful information, I think this is the first time I genuinely understand how to maximize dps output and I been playing the game (off and on) since 2013 could you do a video that kinda goes into reforging, erg, and enchants etc., like enchants that you'd recommend for armors and weapons and possibly alternatives? Are they multipliers because I've been playing around with min-max modifiers and it's like 10-20 min-max, but it ups my damage significantly, and I just want to better understand the what and the why
There is a lot of useful information provided in a concise manner, all things considered. Although you forgot to mention that this stuff doesnt even matter until late game, and even then you need hundreds of millions, if not billions of gold invested in gear.

I think your video is really helpful, I just.. I guess I wish I was a different kind of player. I've been playing on and off since G3 and watching the mechanics get more and more complicated while making the old stuff we worked so fucking hard for get easier and easier.. I just, get frustrated. Remembering 50 different types of combos spanning 5 different skillsets just saps all the fun out of the game for me. I used to be a damn good healer before clouds came out and now with Harmonic Saint I have hopes again, but I'm old, slow, and hate to bard. Oh well, I'm glad you're making these and even just drawing attention to a game that honestly was on it's last legs. I'm shocked Mabi pulled though all those server merges and is still going. I'm not surprised at the direction it's taken, but still kinda disappointed nonetheless. Anyway, thanks for the informative videos.
I'm really sorry if it was a little too much. I'm glad you've been around for so long. Have you played around with equipment slots at all? It really simplifies equipment switching. I do understand your point, though : ) And healing I think is going to make a huge comeback. Don't you worry. You may need to use Harmonic Saint, but It's coming back. If you maybe want me to try to show you in game or whatever, I'm sure I can make that happen. I really hope you keep playing because you are a valuable person in the game. Remember, it's all about having fun. So, whatever it is you do. Just do what's fun for you.
2 questions....I've never done adv. combos like those, and some of those combos require more than 2 weapon types like during the 9:55 combo how would you switch out so fast when you're being ragdolled around in a mission like Tech? My other question is, 6:39, how do you get that little mini UI under your character for your techniques?
Thanks for the questions. At 9:55, you can switch weapons with the extra equipment slot coupon(wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Extra_Equipment_Slot_Expansion_Coupon ). I've been trying to think of a way to tackle this for a vid, but you can buy them off the auction house or with NX. I'm pretty sure you get one free slot as long as you have extra equipment time(you can get for free with vouchers). At 9:08, you can see my inventory change from my chain blade set to my alch set with the equipment slot system. I've never spent a dime on equipment slots. I did, however buy them off the auction house during the black friday sale, so they were a lot less expensive in gold and/or NX.
as for 6:39, if you have the fateweaver technique(wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Fateweaver), obtained after completing g23, you can use this skill and the mini UI will pop up. You need phantasmal remnants to use as "ammo". You can get remnants with the Phantasmal Sight technique(wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Phantasmal_Sight). Hope that helps. @@Ballpuncher So those are what those vouchers affected...thx. I never fought/played with more than 1 weapon at a time, so maybe a vid teaching how to practice weapon swapping might be useful especially when combo cards wants you to use various skills at a time.
hey, foxegirl here thanks for the video, while alot of this is great to have, i do think a more indepth guide to more methods to increase damage could be useful for those looking to further amplify their damage more passively. Examples such as "Doll bags for their summon bonuses" "Stat totems (Alban and event totems)" "Homestead regular and sequal figures" "Glyphs" ect. also on a side note regarding the magic combo at 10:04, with the combo being Smoke Screen -> Pragarah -> Pall of Ruination -> Death Mark -> Fateweaver -> Time Shift Meteor should it not instead be Smoke Screen -> Pragarah -> Fateweaver -> Death Mark -> Pall of Ruination -> Time Shift Meteor instead? (assuming youre doing the combo on youre own) as putting Pall of ruination before 2 other actions will cause you to eat into the precious debuff time on Pall as this is not a skill that is recastable within a short period of time and is incompatable with Time Shift, youre as a result missing atleast 1 meteor benefitting from the damage bonus Pall provides. for additional advice for my fellow mages out their looking to benefit from Pragarahs huge shaving potential for magic, Best way to rapidly shave away M. Def/M. Prot is with a dualgun bullet storm + Way of the Gun combo, as youre firing off 24 bullets back to back at a single target in the span of about 2 seconds as WotG resets Bullet Storms Cooldown and auto reloads youre gun for you, thus maxing out the shave count on any target that will permit being fully stripped. as they recently made Bullet storm capable of applying all 24 of its shots to a single target instead of counting as only 1 shot to the target, and the interation between it and prag allows for each individual shot in the 24 bullet volley to count as a single hit of prag giving a -72 M.Def/M.Prot per use of the skill. as a additional side, while Erg is now much more attainable, do not worry about needing to have Erg 25 on youre guns or other weapon of choice to apply the Effects of Pragarah, Pragarah, as with all Techniques that apply a Active Buff (Requring the pressing of a skill icon/Hotkey to activate the technique) only have their Pre-Requisuites listed as a requirement to Activate the technique, not for it to remain, So you can have erg 25 on youre staff, Enter Awakening of light, Actviate Pragah and then switch to a non erged weapon and Pragarah will still apply its Shaving effects. This also goes for if youre using clothing for Iron will, You can switch to Light or Heavy armor, activate iron will then switch back to youre clothing. the Buff will persist, THE ONLY thing youre not allowed to do is remove or switch to a technique set that doesnt have the active technique slotted, it WILL instantly end the effect of the technique and it will still be placed on its cooldown if it has one. Bare that in mind, it helped me alot during tech when i needed to debuff the geata's with my guns when my only Erg 25+ weapons are my Deepglow staff and Divine Blade.

Question about the combos. Ill just use the first one as an example. For Smokescreen and DM we need their requisite weapons. Where do you swap to Sword for Dynavolt Smash here? Are we supposed to have the extra equipment slot things so we can just push a button and have it equipped? I love the video but i feel like that bit should have been explained at least a little. Cause for anyone w/o an extra equipment slot theyll have to stop after Rage Impact, and open their inventory to unequip one of the weapons to equip their sword of choice to then do Dynavolt Smash. Or is there a faster way to do that w/o the use of extra equipment slots?
Yeah, thank you for the critique. I do appreciate it a lot. I am eventually going to make a entire video on equipment slots. But, yes, you need equipment slots in order to do all of this without manually switching weapons. Personally, I think the game designers are missing a huge selling point to this game by not making 3 equipment slots free with unlimited time. Basically like how they give you 4 free spirit weapons to use. Just so players can grasp how amazing and versatile they can be with multiple equipment sets. With that said, you may know this already, but currently, you get a free slot and you can purchase equip slot time in-game with vouchers, so you can def do this since you can have like your chain blade in the secondary slot, your ele knight weapon in main slot and like a bow in the equip slot or something like that. They also fixed secondary weapon staying as your secondary which basically makes your secondary a pseudo slot in a way. Let me know if this didn't make sense, haha.

But it reads straightforward enough. I think I do have an extra equipment slot rn cause I have Mabi Premium. Or at least I got one recently from something. I just never set it up. But not that it matters a whole lot cause I don't have gear for multiple weapon types (got Ultimate Geas Dev just working on enchants/reforges) outside of melee stuff. I'm assuming I don't need anything crazy as far as reforges to do at least the first combo. A vast majority of the end game stuff is new to me since I never really touched it when I played years ago lol. And every time I come back I try to get a little further in. But I still love the video, it outlined a lot and gave me more goals to add to my ever expanding list lol.

I thought about adding glyphs but I think I might talk about them in my buffing guide and focus more on the offensive/healing side and I sorta hate how they are stationary for the debuff ones so I didnt want to stack on more niche things. Thanks for asking. Extra Equipment Slots. You get one free slot and you can get equipment slot time with dungeon vouchers. You can buy extra slots in the auction house or off the NX shop. Haven't started the video but I am planning on making one about equipment slots and stuff like it.

Sometimes targeting with smokescreen and hydra feels a bit difficult to apply on very large targets. The skill either doesn't go off or can't be targeted in the area. Is there any tips on using those two in such cases? I've also noticed that Prag only lasts for 2 minutes and cuts magic protection, but not regular protection. I've heard buffs don't stick on bosses if they have over 100 protection. Do other debuffs stick towards a target if you don't use Brionac to cut its protection but used prag to cut their magic protection below 100, or is this rule only specific to bosses with over 100 physical protection?
so, it's wonky as fuck, haha. You gotta aim just to the side of your target(s). So, basically just have to train yourself to aim to the side instead on directly on the target. You need to brio to cut physical damage. Prag is the magic cutter. I am pretty sure pragging or brio is perma so dont worry about that. and other debuffs work without using those.
@@Ballpuncher it would make the game alot more fun there used to be macros in the game and the line of code with the dragon drop that way you can setup what combos you wanted i didnt look ive been doing the new event and catching up on my quests
It's very viable. You have to be quick to smash after ss because the debuff doesn't last long, though. Check out the combo area in the video to see me use it
I'm going to make a equip vid at some point, dw. It's doable freemium-wise. But, I do wish nexon would give us 3 unlimited equip slots like they do with spirit weapons. We even get 4 slots now with spirit weapons. GG
I am not going to have 12 different weapons equipped at the same time. This is useless. You talk about how you can get things avoiding the payed to win with pets, how about you kept up with that?
Please don't call this useless. I worked hard on this, and thank you for your question. They are called equipment slots and I will talk about them in another video. You actually get a free slot and you can get time through the voucher shop. Never need to spend irl money. You can also buy more equipment slots on the AH house with gold. You will also not need to have 12 different weapons equipped at the same time. Trust me. I am a strong advocate for more equipment slots for free; however, and I am trying my best to help you. I hope things are going well for you.
@@Ballpuncher I quit during the tutorial lmao wanted to play just to have something to spend the 50k NX I got while playing MS2, but shit was way too confusing to even finish the tutorial, nothing ever got marked on the map for the quest to talk to the first person you need to talk to, so I just uninstalled, lmao. will just have to let those 50k NX rot on the account.

@@Ballpuncher So, I went around doing some testing and found out that Aspect of Reversal is capped at 100 damage from the bonus damage. I initially thought it was 100 times as in hits. So, the correction would be just using 42 instead of 52. Since 42 would buff the -prot. There's literally no reason to us 3152 unless you want the added bonuses of less damage / slower movement on monster.
Tested with Magic in Provo due to the fact that magic is 100% balance and you will see cap.
Damage = 60,340
Damage with just FW(5) = 60,444.
(Extra 4 because of bonus damage items up to 4%)
So TL;DR just 42 everything.

Are they multipliers because I've been playing around with min-max modifiers and it's like 10-20 min-max, but it ups my damage significantly, and I just want to better understand the what and the why

I think your video is really helpful, I just.. I guess I wish I was a different kind of player. I've been playing on and off since G3 and watching the mechanics get more and more complicated while making the old stuff we worked so fucking hard for get easier and easier.. I just, get frustrated. Remembering 50 different types of combos spanning 5 different skillsets just saps all the fun out of the game for me. I used to be a damn good healer before clouds came out and now with Harmonic Saint I have hopes again, but I'm old, slow, and hate to bard. Oh well, I'm glad you're making these and even just drawing attention to a game that honestly was on it's last legs. I'm shocked Mabi pulled though all those server merges and is still going. I'm not surprised at the direction it's taken, but still kinda disappointed nonetheless. Anyway, thanks for the informative videos.

2 questions....I've never done adv. combos like those, and some of those combos require more than 2 weapon types like during the 9:55 combo how would you switch out so fast when you're being ragdolled around in a mission like Tech? My other question is, 6:39, how do you get that little mini UI under your character for your techniques?
Thanks for the questions. At 9:55, you can switch weapons with the extra equipment slot coupon(wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Extra_Equipment_Slot_Expansion_Coupon ). I've been trying to think of a way to tackle this for a vid, but you can buy them off the auction house or with NX. I'm pretty sure you get one free slot as long as you have extra equipment time(you can get for free with vouchers). At 9:08, you can see my inventory change from my chain blade set to my alch set with the equipment slot system. I've never spent a dime on equipment slots. I did, however buy them off the auction house during the black friday sale, so they were a lot less expensive in gold and/or NX.
as for 6:39, if you have the fateweaver technique(wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Fateweaver), obtained after completing g23, you can use this skill and the mini UI will pop up. You need phantasmal remnants to use as "ammo". You can get remnants with the Phantasmal Sight technique(wiki.mabinogiworld.com/view/Phantasmal_Sight). Hope that helps. @@Ballpuncher So those are what those vouchers affected...thx. I never fought/played with more than 1 weapon at a time, so maybe a vid teaching how to practice weapon swapping might be useful especially when combo cards wants you to use various skills at a time.

also on a side note regarding the magic combo at 10:04, with the combo being
Smoke Screen -> Pragarah -> Pall of Ruination -> Death Mark -> Fateweaver -> Time Shift Meteor
should it not instead be
Smoke Screen -> Pragarah -> Fateweaver -> Death Mark -> Pall of Ruination -> Time Shift Meteor
instead? (assuming youre doing the combo on youre own) as putting Pall of ruination before 2 other actions will cause you to eat into the precious debuff time on Pall as this is not a skill that is recastable within a short period of time and is incompatable with Time Shift, youre as a result missing atleast 1 meteor benefitting from the damage bonus Pall provides.
for additional advice for my fellow mages out their looking to benefit from Pragarahs huge shaving potential for magic,
Best way to rapidly shave away M. Def/M. Prot is with a dualgun bullet storm + Way of the Gun combo, as youre firing off 24 bullets back to back at a single target in the span of about 2 seconds as WotG resets Bullet Storms Cooldown and auto reloads youre gun for you, thus maxing out the shave count on any target that will permit being fully stripped.
as they recently made Bullet storm capable of applying all 24 of its shots to a single target instead of counting as only 1 shot to the target, and the interation between it and prag allows for each individual shot in the 24 bullet volley to count as a single hit of prag giving a -72 M.Def/M.Prot per use of the skill.
as a additional side, while Erg is now much more attainable, do not worry about needing to have Erg 25 on youre guns or other weapon of choice to apply the Effects of Pragarah, Pragarah, as with all Techniques that apply a Active Buff (Requring the pressing of a skill icon/Hotkey to activate the technique) only have their Pre-Requisuites listed as a requirement to Activate the technique, not for it to remain, So you can have erg 25 on youre staff, Enter Awakening of light, Actviate Pragah and then switch to a non erged weapon and Pragarah will still apply its Shaving effects.
This also goes for if youre using clothing for Iron will, You can switch to Light or Heavy armor, activate iron will then switch back to youre clothing. the Buff will persist, THE ONLY thing youre not allowed to do is remove or switch to a technique set that doesnt have the active technique slotted, it WILL instantly end the effect of the technique and it will still be placed on its cooldown if it has one. Bare that in mind, it helped me alot during tech when i needed to debuff the geata's with my guns when my only Erg 25+ weapons are my Deepglow staff and Divine Blade.

Question about the combos. Ill just use the first one as an example. For Smokescreen and DM we need their requisite weapons. Where do you swap to Sword for Dynavolt Smash here? Are we supposed to have the extra equipment slot things so we can just push a button and have it equipped? I love the video but i feel like that bit should have been explained at least a little. Cause for anyone w/o an extra equipment slot theyll have to stop after Rage Impact, and open their inventory to unequip one of the weapons to equip their sword of choice to then do Dynavolt Smash. Or is there a faster way to do that w/o the use of extra equipment slots?
Yeah, thank you for the critique. I do appreciate it a lot. I am eventually going to make a entire video on equipment slots. But, yes, you need equipment slots in order to do all of this without manually switching weapons.
Personally, I think the game designers are missing a huge selling point to this game by not making 3 equipment slots free with unlimited time. Basically like how they give you 4 free spirit weapons to use. Just so players can grasp how amazing and versatile they can be with multiple equipment sets.
With that said, you may know this already, but currently, you get a free slot and you can purchase equip slot time in-game with vouchers, so you can def do this since you can have like your chain blade in the secondary slot, your ele knight weapon in main slot and like a bow in the equip slot or something like that. They also fixed secondary weapon staying as your secondary which basically makes your secondary a pseudo slot in a way. Let me know if this didn't make sense, haha.

But it reads straightforward enough. I think I do have an extra equipment slot rn cause I have Mabi Premium. Or at least I got one recently from something. I just never set it up. But not that it matters a whole lot cause I don't have gear for multiple weapon types (got Ultimate Geas Dev just working on enchants/reforges) outside of melee stuff. I'm assuming I don't need anything crazy as far as reforges to do at least the first combo.
A vast majority of the end game stuff is new to me since I never really touched it when I played years ago lol. And every time I come back I try to get a little further in.
But I still love the video, it outlined a lot and gave me more goals to add to my ever expanding list lol.

Don't forget glyphs. They can further reduce enemy defenses in an area.

I thought about adding glyphs but I think I might talk about them in my buffing guide and focus more on the offensive/healing side and I sorta hate how they are stationary for the debuff ones so I didnt want to stack on more niche things. Thanks for asking. Extra Equipment Slots. You get one free slot and you can get equipment slot time with dungeon vouchers. You can buy extra slots in the auction house or off the NX shop. Haven't started the video but I am planning on making one about equipment slots and stuff like it.

Sometimes targeting with smokescreen and hydra feels a bit difficult to apply on very large targets. The skill either doesn't go off or can't be targeted in the area. Is there any tips on using those two in such cases?
I've also noticed that Prag only lasts for 2 minutes and cuts magic protection, but not regular protection. I've heard buffs don't stick on bosses if they have over 100 protection. Do other debuffs stick towards a target if you don't use Brionac to cut its protection but used prag to cut their magic protection below 100, or is this rule only specific to bosses with over 100 physical protection?
so, it's wonky as fuck, haha. You gotta aim just to the side of your target(s). So, basically just have to train yourself to aim to the side instead on directly on the target.
You need to brio to cut physical damage. Prag is the magic cutter. I am pretty sure pragging or brio is perma so dont worry about that. and other debuffs work without using those.

Im not sure how viable it is, but is the combination of rage impact+support shot feasible? Ive seen speed runners do that combo to do big damage.

It's very viable. You have to be quick to smash after ss because the debuff doesn't last long, though. Check out the combo area in the video to see me use it

Please don't call this useless. I worked hard on this, and thank you for your question. They are called equipment slots and I will talk about them in another video. You actually get a free slot and you can get time through the voucher shop. Never need to spend irl money. You can also buy more equipment slots on the AH house with gold. You will also not need to have 12 different weapons equipped at the same time. Trust me. I am a strong advocate for more equipment slots for free; however, and I am trying my best to help you.
