Good idea, never considered aluminum foil for “Crome” trim. With a little careful buffing, that would look as good as “Crome”.

Do you use the pleader floor gloss as is or thinned?

I use a honing rod as it doesn't remove any material and it's easier to rotate the needle while pulling back.

Thank you. One thing, though. Don't use wax over your paint unless you plan to reapply the wax about once every six months for the life of your painted object; the wax evaporates off in about six months.

I tried it and it didn't work. I need a better glue. any ideas? I'd appreciate it. What is the adhesive on tape? Like masking tape? Another word I'd like to find a way to apply it to the flat side of the aluminum foil and then put a smooth paper over it so it's like a piece of Bare Metal Foil. Any ideas on that?

How do you clean your airbrush out??

Definitely could use some RC centered 3d printing. Wife got me one for Christmas. I’ve blown through a roll of PLA trying to figure out designs and printing.

I just use real window tint !!!!!! It does help that I'm a grand master window tinter.

Does Clear Elmer's glue work with decals made from paper?? And how long does Clear Elmer's glue last on a plastic model??

Build it how you want it built and the more 3D printing you can show us the better. P.S. Try some Corn Husker's Lotion on those hands. I use it all the time and it lasts a good while or until you wash your hands anyway.

A tip, go to a construction store and ask for aluminum to join heating pipes, and aluminum in a roll already with glue, and as thin as this kitchen aluminum sheet, but it comes with glue, it is very strong, you can glue it to the piece then cut off the excess, you can also polish it before gluing it and when it's shiny, apply it....

I can not say enough about how good Awesome is for removing chrome plating. It starts working within minutes compared to Clorox or muriatic acid. Clorox takes forever and acid takes days. La's Totally Awesome straight from the bottle starts removing the plating in minutes and no brushing with a toothbrush is needed. Just rinse in water, dry and start painting. I don't know what's in it but it works great. I'm tossing my muriatic acid and Clorox.

Thank you so much. You are right, dashes are easy if you don't rush, and have very fine tooth picks. I always use very fine paintbrushes 0000. About $5.00, toothpicks are cheaper. Thanks for all the tips, very light layers, sharp toothpicks, and the satin final coat. I will be trying all these. Keep the videos coming.

The vertical lift side door is cool, but I want to see a sliding side door. As far as I know it hasn’t been done and I sure haven’t figured it out yet.

Lovely, I want to build an old truck with platina as well. Love those. Would it be possible to sand it with fine grit at the end to give a more down to scale roughness of the surface. I know rust make the surface rough on this panels, but I think it could be a bit smoother for a more realistic look..
