    I'm getting ready to paint an airplane model for my dad. I was looking at panel lining videos. I was really dreading this step, then I found your video! Awesome! Thank you for saving me a lot of time and cleanup.

    I do the same thing except I use the black sakura pigma micron 003 pen. Hobby lobby carries them. I don't wait till after clear coat to darken the panel lines, in my opinion they look to dark doing it that way. I darken them right before spraying the primer coats and right before spraying the color coats. Doing it this way will shade the panel lines, therefore they will end up darker once you apply all your coats of color and clear. I also use them to black wash grilles, etc. Great video by the way.

      Thanks for the tips as well! I haven’t tried to use it as a wash for grilles I usually paint all of
      Mine black

    That's a really good tip. I've got something very similar for Gundam models but in black, grey and brown.

    Diluted India ink has that capillary action and is also the cheapest solution, the pens are a neat idea but I never used them for this purpose, very nice info here.

      I had the same problem, I never wanted to risk my paint job so I always just bypassed it even though I wanted to do it on some models.

    I’m my opinion panel lines at that scale look too dark. Probably before spraying paint is the trick.

    • @CustomScaleModels
      @CustomScaleModels  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      I think that doing this before paint would be idea.
