TimeLaps First Tracker 2014 Lego
I was going through my files and all came across a video file of a time lapse of my very first solar tracker in 2014. Controlled by a Arduino uno and the tracker made off Lego blocks. The motors were driven by an h-bridge.
You can find the wiring diagram on my website under project1.

To thank all my subscribers I organize a competition. All you have to do is send me a screenshot of TH-cam with one of my video’s in the background that says subscribed. Send it to the following email address: pcb@solartrackerdiy.com. Every week I give two PCB’s away, one PCB is for the Sensor Array and one PCB for the Power Board. For four weeks starting when I post this video (23sep2019). In ...
Welcome to my channel

Thanks for checking out Solar Tracker DIY. My name is Gunther Juchtmans and I like to build stuff. On this TH-cam channel I want to combine two of my favorite things; building stuff and solar power. So this TH-cam channel is dedicated to building solar trackers. I build my first dual axis solar tracker with Arduino. And I want to build a video series about how I did this and improve on it in fu...

This is the first episode in a series how i build my first practical solar tracker. This episode is about the metal frame. It has two Eurener solar panels of 260 watt each. works on four photoresistors to track the sun. It moves on two linear actuators 12 volt DC. With the use of limit switches the tracker can stop at certain points. On my website solartrackerdiy.com you can find more informati...

Mini (Winter) Solar Tip: You can gradually turn down a boiler and all other hungry electricity consumers with the "5000W dimmer". Ebay €7. I run 5 dimmers in parallel on an 850W inverter. Kettle 2.2KW at 150W runs 12 hours a day, so the water is always hot. The room is also nicely heated. 2.5KW washing machine runs in parallel with dimmed to 200...400W. Iron, dishwasher, oven, electric heater, coffee machine, all internal heating are throttled with me. Videos about it on my channel th-cam.com/video/eC2olbCBhh0/w-d-xo.html The inverter stays cool, quiet and the MOSFETs remain intact because extreme current peaks no longer arrive at the inverter. Now every Mini PV Inverter is enough to sell large devices. So, with the dimmer, all internal heaters/devices can be converted into base load devices that stay almost permanently ON, drawing very little current directly from the PV. With a wattmeter / energy cost measuring device you can then measure this perfectly in order to set the dimmer optimally. A little hint (for everyone else): Energy cannot be saved. So if I want to boil my water, I always have to use the same amount of energy for one liter. Christian's method relies on a longer period of time with less power in order to be able to use the power provided by the PV as efficiently as possible - so consumption peaks are intercepted. In the end, the energy consumption should even be (slightly) higher due to the interposition of the dimmer, but it doesn't matter, since more efficient coverage by the PV system and therefore better use of the self-generated energy.........................

Found a guy that made one of these out of wood. Literally holds like 2 panels and it's INSANELY complex lmao I bet this metal one cost half the price his did. He played it off like his didn't cost much but the guy is just wasting both time and money. I try to say something about it and he loses his shit and writes a big long wall of text explaining himself lmao fucking beta. The guy in this video is doing shit right. My only complaint / advice is when you make something that heavy duty, make it for more panels. The more panels you can get on there, the more cost-efficient it is. Just my 2 cents, please don't lose your shit like the other guy lmao
