So...Its 2yrs gone by. Hows it going?
Do you think suspension upgrades are necessary
I bought the trailmaster but would still like to get myself the mega moto 212. Fatcat aussie style. Im in the Flinders Ranges but will happily travel to do an organized fat tyre event anywhere, anytime.
If you drove at 100 it makes a huge difference. You just said it was full . Mine gets 8.5
I say I do freeway work and open road.
Hey mate, what size is the bolt that mounts into the chassis rail?
Hey bud, I couldn’t tell you off the top of my head.. it would be a standard metric size pitch and thread. Cheers hope this helps. 👍
Where’s the oil adjustment on 135 mark 2
is that Verex?
Yes, the beautifully crafted Verex.
@@wixee123 i love them as well. But too expensive. Is the price justified?
@@abhijeet4evr I like it.. Consider it like jewellery I guess. Nice workmanship. I considered S&S pipes and a few others. I did my research and picked up bargains. The headers were brand new in the wrapping but pre owned. So there was a discount there. The slip ons were picked up on eBay cheaper using eBay plus for the discount. Hope this helps.
@@wixee123 I am caught in 2 minds between S&S and Verex. Looks wise the Verex looks heads and shoulders above the rest. Need to keep looking for a better deal.
@@abhijeet4evr all the best.
Where does the silicone go?
In between the gaps generally.
Is your car white or white pearl? We are looking at getting a Triton. Not sure to get a mid $50s then by accessories as we go. Or ger a base model and get all the accessories from the start. Ahh. Nice video. Are your window protective still on or blown off?
Base model white. Protectors are fine.. cheers. I personally think base model and upgrades is the better choice overall.
what i've noticed with my mq triton is the slower speeds is more effiecent 60 to 80kms i get aboput 8.5 lt per 100km and 9 - 9.5 per 100 if im on the highway doing 100kms
Have you got a manual or auto? I think my 6 speed manual does the opposite. Happy enough though. 👍
@@wixee123 auto
This could be why there is a slight difference I’d say.. thanks for the info. Cheers
Did you put a tape underneath the rail just to protect the paint or is it the silicon you put under it ??
No I didn’t, it doesn’t ask for it in the instructions nor supplied. Sounds like a good idea although.. 👍
Do you have a picture of that box for part number for the piston. .thanks bro
I don’t have a picture of the piston box. But you could enquire with Procycle in the US about the required information. The piston kit comes with all necessary parts for the upgrade. I’m pretty sure it was a custom piston designed for Procycle. Best bet to enquire there. Cheers
Are they classified as a toy/can we ride them anywhere or will we pickup a fine (NSW based)
Great question, Honestly couldn’t answer that..🤔 Your best bet would be too approach Service NSW for advice on that concern. Best of luck..!!
I like bikes to sir I hope your kitted motor runs well my friend.
Thanks
What happened mate? No updates since!
Sorry for the suspense.. 😆 Just a bit of covid delay and a major relocation from east to west coast.. My guess is that it will be more towards the New year for the transformation. All parts are boxed up and are ready to go..
Like the lock off device (Nice safety shoes)
😆
no tie downs?
No tie downs required, although if you need the bike to be extra stable you could attach to lift plates. Hope this helps your question. Thanks
@@wixee123 bought 1 for my Harley Fat Boy Lo & It's Great & you do need straps for a big bike !
What's the top speed?
I could say 50-60km? It’s definitely enough.
hey mate its worse than you thought, 64x100/620 is 10.3L/100. you worked out kms/L
what was the thickness of the cylinder wall initially, and what became after boring?
Old sleeve bored out and new oversized sleeve pressed in then bored to specs. 👍
@@wixee123 Wow 😲
Cheers for the video mate 👍🏼
Hey mate, thanks for the vid. What silicone did you use??
Just an all clear multi purpose silicone.
Neat Video! Thanks
Your welcome..👍
Thanks for the video. Looks easy enough!
Can the bike be registered
No bud, trail riding only..
Cheers mate getting one on sale tomorrow (got a new dr650 nearly 3 months ago)
Top stuff 👍
Good video. What's the quality of the tonneau material like after a year?
Holding up very well I must say.. Happy with it all..
How is it going so far? Any problems or leaks?
Reliable unit.. works very well, and very happy I’ve done this mod..
How many’s kms can you get out of a full tank?
I get about 3-4hrs use out of tank.. kms may vary on terrain etc.. I hope this helps answering your question..?
@@wixee123 cheers!
Hi mate. All the cars I have driven, petrol and diesel, used 1.5-4l more fuel than the sticker states. I own a 21 Triton. Stock used 8.8 to 9l combined, my regular drive, 85% 80 and 100kph. On high way, trip to Sydney , 110kph, used 9.5l. Put larger tyres, regular drive consumption went to 9.5l. Installed a steel bullbar and winch, larger fuel tank went to 10.4l. I bought a throttle controller, set it on eco, now getting 9.6l. What size are those tyres?
They are 31’s??
@@wixee123 that explains why. I went from 245/70/16 to 245/75/16 falken all terrain and the fuel consumption went from 8.8 to 9.8l. My mate had a 3l worse economy on his hilux from larger tyres.
Thinking about buying one of these to mess around with when im camping in the bush or on the beach. How do they go weight wise if you load them up? Can they carry a but of weight and still go ok?
They are completely fine carrying weight. If the terrain is very severe consider buying the bigger sprocket kit available when purchasing. I am very happy with my purchase. Plenty of snort for a mini-trail bike.. Heaps of fun!!!
@@wixee123 thats awesome. Yea i was thinking about buying the sprocket kit. Im a big guy so hopefully should be ok
I think I might not get a 13 and get a 9 or 10 for more revs and high top speed because less weight to struggle with
On the website I’m looking at it ses 9 7/8 13 is the same as u have
Where did you order it mats
On eBay.. I’ll post the link soon.
www.aussietonneaus.com.au/
Don't believe people's low fuel consumption figures, the rule of thumb is ad 30 percent to official figure and for all the cars I've owned that's what I've got. Also utes are not very aerodynamic because of the rear end, so you will probably find you drop a litre per 100 if you drive at 100kph instead of 110
Fuel economy advatised by any manufacturer is stock standard spec with 1 x 55kg driver light wieght standard tyres. In perfect weather/ wind conditions on flat running . Any amount of weight change/tyre size etc will change that . Plus all brand car speedo read fast from 3% to 10% ( for safety reasons apparently) which also displays better fuel economy then reality . Thats why some vehicles do not need calibration when bigger tyres go on . It just makes it more accurate

looks like a mega moto or aerovox. which is good because they are both great bikes . have fun
Cheers and will do.!!
Yep megamoto 212. Just finished one last week and it's a really fun ride
There is the dr800 big.
Looks great! Saw one of these for sale in marketplace. So tempted to buy it.
Yes worth every cent.. Great fun..!!
Nice mate! This looks like a fun bike to smash around
Yes, it sure is.. worth every cent..!
This is a cute little saw. I'm thinking of buying it for my dad. He needs a replacement for his old Stihl MS 181 C, which is leaking and worn out. But he's such a Stihl fanboy I don't know if he'll be satisfied. I would love to buy the saw for myself, but I bought the 550 XPG last month so I don't really need another saw. On the other hand, having another saw available wouldn't hurt ..
The husky is a great little saw indeed, I’m sure it will put a smile on his face. 👍
Thanks for the vid mate
Great vedio thanks mate. I am installing one on my 2017 but has 90k on clock. Do u recommend spraying liquid molly decarbonising spray in intake before Installing? Just to clean a bit
I wouldn’t recommend that myself. I’d probably take to a specialist and have it cleaned properly. But otherwise I’d just take the chance and install anyway. Cheers
Hey brother! I have the same car and same Tonneau just factory fitted, have you experienced any sagging with rain or such? How would you tighten it? I even thought of building a wooden "table" like frame under it so it would not sag haha
No sagging with mine at all.. I would go see the dealer maybe for starters.. Maybe they can shed some light. Cheers
@@wixee123 Thanks man! I contacted the dealership, it's not sagging for me neither but I am afraid rain might make it sag after years to come haha, want to futureproof myself for this issue. Nice to hear yours is still fine maybe mine will last as well!
My Mq 2016 has done 135000k's best it gets on avg is 10.9 litres to a 100k's. Not even close to what mitsubshi sy i should get.
My 2006 25hp Merc on a 3.5m quintrex traveller does 59km/h... 12 inch prop at 6000rpm. You need a taco to work things out properly!
installing it at home won't affect warranty ? Thanks for sharing
Warranty? On the catch can? They sell the can as diy..Full instructions supplied
@@wixee123 I mean warranty on the car?
All good with it.. Nothing mentioned at the dealer when in for service.
I get 11-12 per 100 at all times.
Good to hear..👍
I SEE 12.5 L/100KM
I get 10.9l-100km from my brand new 2023 manual club cab.
Don’t like the slight kink in the top hose coming out of the CC.
Looks worse than it is.. It has no restriction at all.. just a visual deformation.. 👍
