I have a 30 with a 9 7/8 x 13 and topping out at 35km according to phone app.
Thinking I’ll go back to the 11 for more revs.

My 2006 25hp Merc on a 3.5m quintrex traveller does 59km/h... 12 inch prop at 6000rpm. You need a taco to work things out properly!

Does your transom make a creaking noise when loaded up and getting onto the plane? Mine does ans thought i could hear it in your vid too. I am not sure what i can do to stop it

Odd, I get 26.4knots/48.1km's out of my 420 Dory Widebody 30HP 2 stroke Mercury with the standard 9.9 11P with myself.
I'm considering trying a 9.7 x 12P.

I think I might not get a 13 and get a 9 or 10 for more revs and high top speed because less weight to struggle with

hey mate looking at getting a 2 stroke 30hp mercury. how’s the motor in general with hp ? quintrex 390 explorer.

It’s great.. does the job, I thought about a 40hp but have mixed feelings.. I’m just hp hungry 😆

@@wixee123 hahahahaa yeah good stuff mate. it’s a boat i’m looking at purchasing and for the size 2 stroke will be the go especially for the power. four strokes are way more expensive

I think your finder is broken as my 5hp on my 10ft light rig goes 32kmh and yours is at 36
