The best just got better! WOTANCRAFT Armor Modules. Brand new for the Pilot camera bags!
It's no secret that the WOTANCRAFT Pilot Slings are my favorite camera bags. I didn't think they could get any better, but I was wrong. The new Armor Modules are a great addition to an already great line of modular, tactical looking camera bags!

I like it and what a great honest review for this EDC Sling for such an awesome price!! But for the price I don't think we can get more options, but I do like the improvements you mention would help the bag, even if the price would go up a little I would still buy it!!!
the first one isn't really a problem but a marketing clip lol I have my Benro mounting plates they never come off and camera is well balanced plus more support if you keep lens attached.
LEGEND!!!!!! LETS GO
I am looking for something like this. Is there anything more pancaky for A7IV`?
Samyang 35mm 2.8 is on my list, but not available in Norway. Read some good reviews on it as well.
Does it fit with iPad mini7?
Thank you so much for sharing our llano camera battery charger!😄
Don't buy this light! It is just problem. NIce features, nice quality of the chassi, but .... crappy electronics and LED lights! The temperature changes when you change the intensity. 5600K becomes 6400K when you go from 100% to 10%. Not stable, not that great as all markereting from GVM will tell you through all influenser that get the light for free! It is a marketing thing. It is the old light that had trouble with electronics, in a new, shiny chassi! If you return the light, you will wait 6 weeks or more for GVM to return your money.
You mention that the apature ring can be clicked or de-clicked. are you sure about that? EDIT: You are right! I just checked. Great video. thank you!
Thankyou so much you have done a great job.... lots of love from pakistan....
Just wanted to punch in a someone with a kind of longer-term perspective (in a couple of ways). I’ve been shooting the X100 line for nearly seven years (six with the F and half a year or so with the VI) and I really feel like it’s not an ideal camera for beginners. That is, unless you’re willing to treat it like a beginner camera as if you were learning photography on a “proper” camera in the 1970s or 80s. I say this because I grew up shooting with a fully manual SLR and really wondered (before I got the F) why anyone would want to go back to a camera with all those old-fangled dials-aperture, shutter speed, and so on. That is, until I tried the X100F. The muscle memory of dialing in exposure with the aperture ring and shutter speed dial were so hard-wired that it felt natural in a way that other cameras did not, with their front and rear command dials, etc. It just made sense. But these days, people are used to modern cameras and their conveniences, such as full-auto modes, snappy auto focus, and so on. So, I wouldn’t really expect a new shooter to want to learn how to dial in exposure and nail focus manually when they could instead just be out enjoying the act of taking pictures. That said, the “sub-par” autofocus Fuji offers doesn’t really bother me. I almost never use continual AF mode and try to set up so that I can nail focus pretty reliably on the fly. Like you, I don’t really like the focus ring throw; it’s focus-by-wire and feels nothing like a mechanical focusing lens. So, I set the rear command dial (which you can customize as a button) to AF-lock and use it for back-button focus in manual focus mode. That’s my compromise if I’m not shooting AF-S. I obtain focus that is either precise or close to what I want, then I can adjust manually from there. But secretly I yearn of getting a Voigtländer 28mm F2 for my X-T3 to take me back to those manual focus days. I think there is something said for having to slow down and be more intentional these days. As for the adapter rings, I hear ya-but actually I ended up a number of years ago putting a lens hood on the camera and leaving it there. The lens is so stubby that it’s just hard to hold the camera properly if you learned traditional holding/bracing technique. Having a hood gives me a bit of extra real estate to work with, so to speak, and it feels more like an old SLR with a 35 mm lens. I use the Haoge round hood that has a built-in UV filter because it doesn’t add that much length to the lens-for me, anyway. Plus, it has a 52mm filter thread at the front on which I can put a black mist or other filter. Kind of the best of both worlds, in a way. One final thing is the power switch: I’d never thought about it but probably turned it on a number of times when putting it in my bag. But that never bothered me because I have the power settings to shut off after 2 minutes, so I don’t drain the battery. I think it may also depend on what kind of bag you use and the orientation you stow it. If I lay the camera sideways in my bag (e.g., so that the grip faces up), then I’m more likely to accidentally flip the switch. But if I’m using a smaller bag in which I can store the camera vertically with the lens facing the front, then I don’t have that problem-at least as far as i know. It just seems like a non-issue to me. What’s more of an issue to me-and I promise this will address one of the points you rightly mentioned-is that the front and rear command dials are not as firm as they are on my X-T3. I have my front dial set for ISO (so I don’t have to play with that fiddly old-school ISO sub-dial that is oh-so-reminiscent of the Pentax Spotmatic I learned on) and it’s all too easy to bump the dial and throw it out of my selected ISO. Far too often I’ve accidentally shot at ISO 51200 because I knocked the dial out of my auto ISO-1 setting. By the way-and I apologize if you and/or your viewers already are aware of this-but you can obviate the shutter speed problem you mention by setting you three auto ISO settings with different minimum shutter speeds. Probably not as ideal as what you could do on your Sony, but then again Fuji menus are pretty awful and often quite unintuitive. Oh - if you do use the front dial for ISO, I’d recommend setting the ISO and then setting the top ISO dial to A to lock the front dial until you want to change ISO again. (You have to set the top dial to C to use the front command dial for ISO.) In practice, I’m just using three auto ISO settings based on light conditions and don’t change them that much.
I guess nothing on weather
Thanks to this video, I have ordered the 2 liter in black, I have the same 7c and 40 lens, keep it up! excellent content!
WOTANCRAFT keeps releasing great stuff! Be sure to watch until the end of the video to learn about the Holiday Gift Program they have going on right now!
Are you F’n kidding me? I just bought a 3.5L with all the modules they had. So pissed now. 😡🤬 Should have waited a couple of weeks.
Hey, sorry that happened. When did you order? The Gift Program started on Nov 15th.
Placed the order on Oct 30th, it shipped Nov 5th, and I got it Nov 8th. Had I known I would have waited since I spent $300 USD 😢 I even bought modules that didn’t quite fit what I was looking for but could still get the job done. These new modules would have been way better for my use case and would fit the 3.5L better.
@@Schwarzegamer dang, sounds like you just missed it! I hope you're liking the new gear anyway. Try emailing them. Tell them you saw my video and see if they'll let you get in on the Holiday Gift Program. Worth a shot
@MattYamamoto100 just an update. I reached out to them and they were awesome! They allowed the previous amount to carry over to my next purchase! So I was able to get the LV3 gift! 😁 Very great product and look forward to taking it to Japan next year.
Good video, helps cover off what Wotancraft really should explain better on their website. I have the pilot 7l and a couple of the original pouches, neither of which I use, but these new smaller ones are definitely worth a look. Not a huge fan of the patch functionality though…I ain’t a kid anymore.
lol. I prefer the molle loops as well….but I had to show it! 😊
Love my 3.5L and 7L Pilot bags... Thanks for the info...
Hope you found the video useful! Let me know if I missed anything! Thanks for watching
Thanks mucho. My camera shop says they can order them now, and I can get it it in a month or two. Yay - but now I have to really be sure it will be as good as I hope. Thanks for pointing out the bad, along with the good.
Thank you for the review! Do you whink a Sony a6600 with a Sigma 18-50mm (without hood) will fit sideways in the 2l bag as does your a7c with the 40mm (you have a hood on right?)?
As for me, w/in 24 hours of receiving mine, I noticed a dust on the sensor that never came off even after multiple sensor cleaning. Returned it right away. Waiting for my replacement. X100vi is a very nice camera but there is no way of cleaning the sensor physically. Attach a filter right away.
Damn, that sucks. Sorry to hear that. Hope they take care of you soon!
Had this issue as well but only noticed it a few months later - it should still be covered right?
What would you think about the cropping emulation when using an A7CR?
Stupid title... why would one camera kill another....😂
nice video. where u get this wallet?
I love my a7c mk. 2! I was looking for the 24mm f2.8 but all stocks had gone so I went with a zoomie Sigma 28-70 f2.8 to cover my bases. For street, I use the Viltrox 20mm f2.8 and 28mm f4.5 pancake. Super handy setup for cheap!
Nice!
Are there any 3rd party lens hoods that can be flipped around and stored on the lens itself? Great review!
I don’t of any, but if you find one…let me know!
viltrox sort of does what he meant I think
@@testisterator yeah, but he specifically said "lens hood". If he meant to say "lens", then yeah, there are few options....Sigma, Viltrox, etc
Thank you for honest review. Did you sell your sony or do you keep both? What sony did you use?
I currently have a Sony A7C, A7iv, and an A7Siii. I’m thinking about selling the A7C now that I have the Fuji. The other two are my work horses, so I’m keeping those for sure
@@MattYamamoto100 if you dont have a74 and a7s3, would you keep a7c or x100vi? Im using a7c2 now but always thinking to switch to x100vi.
it's opposite, i'm keeping the A7iv and A7siii and thinking about selling the A7c
Great video! I feel you on the shutter button turning on/off a little too easily. But it’s manageable so long as you’re careful when taking it out of a bag (especially since I have a soft shutter button). I also found that Reggie’s Portra is the best recipe to get a really beautiful SOOC pic without worrying about the slow clarity processing.
Thanks! Yeah, there def are a lot of good recipes that don’t use clarity….but I for sure wanted to call it out for new users to be aware of.
I ordered it, but if it sucks, I’m coming back to let you know lol
lol. Hope you like it!
@MattYamamoto100 it’s actually pretty sick. I got the green one and it’s pretty nice. I’m a bigger dude and it still fits pretty well ( it’s even loose enough to wear like a shoulder bag without it being too long). It tends to get a bit bulky pretty quickly so I can’t carry my canon g16 in there as part of my EDC but that’s more of a personal preference since I want it to be as sleek as possible. I tried putting my water bottle in the little slot but it makes it too heavy and so the bag ends up twisting and whatnot. I wish it came in like a brown or tan color though! Thanks for the review on this, I was stressing out over getting the right sling at a realistic price and your video helped me pull the trigger. I’ll be definitely subscribing . I’m not too sure what your content is like but I’d love to see some edc videos on items that are cool but also priced realistically. A lot of us want to get into this edc lifestyle without spending $600 on a carry commission bum bag and pry bar. A lot of EDC content creators gear more toward consumerism rather than efficacy and make it hard for newcomers to get into this hobby without feeling the need to spend a fortune. In any case. God bless you! 💪🏻
Note Viltrox released a new firmware that's meant to reduce the focus hunting in low light, subjectively it seems better but I didn't do an A/B test.
Good to know! I’ll give it a try. Thanks!
Great review. Good thing you're not an electrical engineer.
Thanks. I could start talking about efficiencies of charging circuits, battery charge/discharge rates, impedances, cell voltages, etc….but the average person watching this video just doesn’t care. I try to approach reviews with the mindset of the average user
As neat as these are, like all camera gear and bags, they’re priced so high that the only thing I can think is that they’re all scams with stupid high profit margins on each sale.
Camera gear definitely isn’t cheap and there definitely are cheaper bags out there. In my experience though, usually the more expensive bags will last a lot longer, they’re more protective, and they have features that make your job easier. Would you be fine with a cheaper bag? Absolutely. But if you have a chance to try one of these, I recommend it
Good info! 👍
Glad it was helpful!
What's up Matt! Cool channel dude! ☮️

I've watched at least 8 videos about the Wotancraft Pilot bags, and yours is the ONLY one that told me what I needed to know as a potential purchaser. I'm now confident that the 7L will work for me. Thank you!
Glad it helped you! I recently released a video going over all of the other sizes as well if you want to check that out. 😊
Awesome tutorial Matt! Thanks for making this. Sometimes my skin changes by the hour.
Leica q3 as the shutterleaf, but a nd filter cost less.
Thanks for the detailed review! Super helpful. Just wanted to ask.. do you think an 11inch iPad Pro with Magic Keyboard case will fit into 7L with Mina camera gear?
I think so, but I can’t tell you 100%. I believe the website gives internal dimensions of the bags if you want to be certain
You put it perfectly. This lens shines in everyday carry. It's light, sharp and very compact. On my A7CR, it rocks. I finally made my fixed-lens camera with an interchangeable lens.
I've beeb eyeballing the x100vi for a long time, but I want to try this lens on my a7iv first, to achieve what you did! Happy with it?
Got the 3.5l for my A7r5 + 2-lens setup. Fits nicely even with the Tamron 28-200 or sigma 14-24mm and a prime.
Sorry for the SUPER long video...but I hope it helps you all find the perfect Pilot Sling size for you!
Can I fit an ipad mini with the A7C?
Sorry, I don't have an ipad mini to try
❤
Thanks Matt!
