I just got my sugar gliders(2) about3 weeks ago and damn! Their nails are pretty sharp i have 10s of scars on each hand in 3 weeks so i reccomend wearing rull sleves for that purpose too😂😂😂 (Sry for bad spelling)

Thanks so much for this video. I have female glider, the bedding I’ve been using it’s causes an order after a while. I have her cage in my room so smelling the urine,etc while sleeping then waking up to that oder can be unpleasant at times also her scratching the bottom I get pieces of bedding in there floor every morning, lol. So thank you! I just ordered a bag of feline pine the exact one you have. 👍

Were you keeping them or her near the cat ? They often get depressed from other animals

I don’t like the BML diet… most of these diets have too much sugar which causes a lot of dental issues with Sugar Gliders including abscesses which can and will cause death if you can not find a rare, hard to find Veterinarian that will do dental care on a Sugar Glider. Please be mindful of the sugar given to your Sugar Gliders. Dental issues are a major problem with these animals.

Just found out my wittle baby has a nail bed infection. I went to play with her and her toe was so swollen and her nail was black. It makes me so sad I didn’t notice it sooner, I hate knowing she’s in pain. Hopefully antibiotics and pain meds get her better 😓

Can you substitute real chicken real like broiled chicken just plain for the baby food in the BML diet? And also can I use a different calcium powder for the gliders and reptile powder?? Lmao I did the EXACT SAME THING and went to PetSmart first and found they didn't carry the vitamins so I am NOW CURRENTLY AT PETCO. I'm doing the BML DIET too but I'm just concerned about the vitamins... Also I need help with dental care! What do I do, how do I take care of their teeth???

Hey to sugar gliders about a month ago so I'm a new bladder mama I've been doing lots and lots of research I am trying to figure out which diet I want to give them obviously I know every glider is different and has things that they like and things that they don't so I might have to try many different diets but I'm going back and forth against the BML or the TPG diet and I don't know which one to do. I read that you cannot give them reptile vitamins at all so that's my only concern with the BML diet but I was wondering if I do the BML diet can't I just use any counter for the gliders? The man at my local pet store said that he rescued dozens and dozens of gliders is or was a glider owner himself and seemed highly knowledgeable and he told me that I could use any calcium powder. What do you think about that? Love your videos Thank you for all the knowledge that you give!! 🙏🙏🙏 I just find so many conflicting things on the internet and I don't know or who to trust!

Woke up today to my girl missing all her digits😞I am so sad. I have all glider safe toys and fleece.She keeps on grooming it. I have 2 more gliders in cage with her. I have her in a bonding pouch on me by herself. Any advice I have had them for 3 years never had a problem. Thank you

I only had mine for a short time but I had it trained like a dog. Come, stay, go where I pointed and when to take a shit. Unfortunately I had a bad motorcycle accident and had to go in the hospital and they do not handle being with others after they bonded and it starved itself to death. But I'm wondering if these people are just not getting it. When I read up on sugar gliders I found out they had almost a 100-200 word vocabulary pretty in line with a dog. Seamed to workout fine.

Can I use a bioactive substrate? Springtails, isopods, organic soil, leaf litter, sphagnum moss, wood coal, coconut husk chunks mixed together with cork bark for a hide? Has anyone tried this? Maybe could cover the top layer of the bioactive substrate with biodebradable packing paper with holes poked in it for isopods to feast on waste easier, keeping the gliders from reaching much of the substrate while also creating a dark spot for the isopods
