  • Mirage is pretty bonded to me but she still has her moments where she does not seem very bonded! This is a great technique for sugar gliders are more on the skittish side and gliders who arent used to handling

    Every time you post i'm like YES! This is so useful bc i'm getting mines late October so watching this is so informative - They're gonna be my first two. & Your other video with the white chips I didn't even know they were inexpensive yogi bites! I was literally mind-blown lmfao
    tysm for posting these vids they're so simplistic but useful to new owners like me!

      kiwi3320 that’s so exciting and so very soon!! Yes the white chocolate chips are exactly what you would be getting when you buy yogis! You just get 10x more for cheaper :)
      i’m glad that you enjoy the content and you find it useful that is the goal!!

      Yesss!! I’ve seen your video where you do the same techniques! I realize quickly as soon as I got her that she was pouch protective so after a couple of weeks of just hanging out with her in the pouch I decided to take her out of it every time she crabbed. she realize that when she crabbed she didnt get to be a pouch gaurder anymore and she would relax 😹

    Thank you so much for this video. Although it's been 2 years, this video is so so informative. I recently just rescued one as i found it on the ground floor of my apartment, not moving, currently it's staying with me but i have zero experience in keeping a sugar glider. with tons of research i finally understood the basics, but i'm also giving it time to feel safe in a new environment. Thank you so much for this video! Appreciate it alot.

    I just got my sugar gliders(2) about3 weeks ago and damn! Their nails are pretty sharp i have 10s of scars on each hand in 3 weeks so i reccomend wearing rull sleves for that purpose too😂😂😂
    (Sry for bad spelling)

      Regarding nails i have tree branch pieces in the cage & i wrap around fine grade sand paper fix with zip locks but carpenter type glue can be used, doesnt take long for the nails become blunt for handling.

    I only had mine for a short time but I had it trained like a dog. Come, stay, go where I pointed and when to take a shit.
    Unfortunately I had a bad motorcycle accident and had to go in the hospital and they do not handle being with others after they bonded and it starved itself to death.
    But I'm wondering if these people are just not getting it. When I read up on sugar gliders I found out they had almost a 100-200 word vocabulary pretty in line with a dog.
    Seamed to workout fine.

    keep up the informative videos, new glider parents need all the help they can get to make sure their babies stay healthy and happy!
    edit: just to clarify i still have her and her cage-partner haha, this method was something i had to discover on my own

    • @SuperJai97Nakiya00
      @SuperJai97Nakiya00 3 ปีที่แล้ว +5

      Be very careful if you do! Some pet stores non-lineage breed the gliders themselves and without the proper lineage information they can sometimes breed gliders with high relativity percentages which causes health issues and they sometimes don’t live as long and when you get them from a reputable breeder. Lmk how it goes!
