Boise State is the original giant killer and has beaten all 3 teams (3-1 v Oregon) that have the 1st rd bye in the last decade. BSU is relishing the fact that they are being slept on again. SMU/Penn St fans saying this will be an easy game are going to be in for a treat. They have 3 weeks to get healthy, prep & are using all these disrespectful comments about them as bulletin board material. Game prediction- BSU 38 Penn St 34. BSU gets the ball on the last possession and kills the clock handing it off to the best college RB since Mcafrey or Henry. Keep on overlooking them mainstream media and don’t look at their history!

I am a Boise State fan and before I watch the video, I want to say the following: I would LOVE to see SMU or Arizona State or Boise State win it all.

I don't like the big12. I hope Boise State never goes there. The problem with the top 4 conferences is that they have teams all across the US. The time for flight consumes a lot of practice time. With these big conferences there is a lot of travel and that wears on them.

Boise State and Ohio State are the only two teams that lost to Oregon by only 3 points. Boise State led in most of their game with Oregon only losing in the last seconds to a field goal.

The Bama Outragers fail to understand that their strength of schedule was, in fact, the ONLY reason they were considered. They were not punished for it, they were considered because of it.

There are a lot of people complaining that teams not ranked in the Top 12 are in, especially Boise's bye. What they fail to understand is that the format was never supposed to include the Top 12. It is the 5 top conference champs and the 7 highest ranked teams after that. I find it amusing that the big team ADs are now complaining about this. LMAO.

The ACC is a much better fit for SMU - although the logistics are certainly not ideal. Truth be told, many SMU fans wanted Big 12 for nostalgic reasons, and fortunately that was not a compelling enough reason. Big 12 went for a national - best of the rest concept. The ACC choices were more about strong academics and athletics. SMU being positioned centrally, building a bridge between to the two universities on the West Coast with those on the East. Thankfully, the ACC did not lose any members - as was continually promised by B 12 fans. Clemson and FSU may still depart in the future - but for now they are ACC. Big 12, however, lost their two top brands, and then added several schools, including multiple G5 schools. That creates far more growing pains than the ACC just adding 3 schools. Most folks assumed like I did that the B 12 would end up cannibalizing each other. Before, Texas and OU normally dominated the league, or at least were the clear top dogs. Can one or two schools emerge in the B 12 to take their place? Or, will it remain the wild, wild, west? ACC in '24 was quite unusual. Its hard to imagine FSU remaining this bad. Hopefully Miami can continue to play tough as well as Clemson. It will be interesting to see how the newbies fit in over the next 3 years. With Lashlee's contract extension, I like SMUs chances. Don't know enough on Calford to discuss their future, but I would expect that could have more success than they did in the PAC.

They can giggle all they want. Their only loss is still to a B12 team. Congrats to SMU, though. It's been a long, hard road, and now that paying the players is normalized, they're gonna be a good team. I'd like to see an all Texas final four someday. SMU being in the ACC is a key part that makes that situation possible.

The Big 12 should've invited SMU when they had the chance. Considering SMU is willing to invest so much into their football program to rival FSU, Clemson, & Miami in the ACC they would probably become the top dog in the Big 12 rather quickly.

Love the analysis. I think the one issue I have is that schools like App State and Liberty are not really strong brands but are more weak conference dominators. If you took those programs out of their existing conferences and put them in this new Pac-12 I think they would never sniff a conference title and their brand appeal would diminish because they are no longer winning 8-9+ games a year in a much harder conference. I think the focus should be more on markets and brands with broader appeal.

I've heard the ADs say they want to focus on regionality. The problem is there are limited teams available, so I think they go for Texas schools and Memphis. The TV package won't be earth-shattering, so I think they keep the team count low to maximize payouts.

ACC will disitigrate in February. 7 to 9 of those teams will be consumed by big 12, B10, and SEC. If pack adds tulane, Memphis, and USF, they will be in a position to receive calford, SMU, and any other ACC rejects. BC, Syracuse, Wake, and anyone else left behind. They would have a west wing and an east wing. And about 16 to 18 teams

This is funny watching now. The AAC approached a few Sun Belt schools first and got turned down. Then the Sun Belt added their 4 and made the best G5 conference. The AAC then raided C-USA and almost pulled even in competition and stayed ahead in money. Then, C-USA somehow remained alive thanks to Jax State and Liberty. Not what we were thinking would happen and STILL seems unlikely… but it happened.

I C the conferences turning into mini leagues. They play a playoff for then.championship for conference. Then the other big conferences pit their best few schools in a mini tournament.

NDSU BISONS, SDSU JACKRABBITS, UND HAWKS, USD COYOTES, MONTANA GRIZ AND MONTANA STATE 'CATS SHOULD ALL GO TO MOUNTAIN WEST CONFERENCE. MISSOURI VALLEY CONFERENCE CAN WELCOME LOWER DIVISION SCHOOLS THAT WANNA MOVE UP.

UConn left the American so their basketball programs could go to the Big East. I doubt they will go back. It's ACC or stay independent.
