    You're definitely making good progress there now mate, you've actually got room to move now. Having 4 tool and cutter grinders is just being greedy though :-) I spotted a nice Cincinnati 4 recently, missed out on it though, chap wanted too much money for it and I'd probably need to build yet another shed extension to accommodate it. Looking forward to seeing more from you, cheers

      @TradieTrev there's no issues with it I just didn't have any rcds to handle the load. Once I have the funds I'll get some but they will only be for fire protection on 3 of the circuits as a 30ma won't function with the really high load demands of the converter and my welding and plasma equipment But, Ive put a 63amp 30ma onto the standard circuits, lights and 13amp 240v

      Yeah, I saved a few bits off it like the die heads that were loaded in the capstan. It's still really upsetting that it got damaged, thinking about it now I probably should have just unloaded it and popped it outside the shed under a tarp and waited to see if a capstan assembly ever came up but, I was in a bit of a shitty mood once I saw it and just felt extremely irritated. Especially as I was told it would be collected with an enclosed truck, not a builders type tipper. Regardless, I'm still really greatfull you thought of me when you needed to part ways with it..... I'd hire a trailer and move it myself if I have to move anything again turned out the "easy way" didn't pay off

    I’ve got some frost damaged bricks in my garden wall and that is why I was here to look at this particular tool. The video seems to suggest it would be ideal for removing the mortar, but not much else. May consider buying one to compare it against the other tools that I’ve got for removing mortar e.g. mortar rake for the angle grinder and also a mortar rake for the hammer drill, with the latter obviously only being on hammer action.

That's about the most of it. Garage prices ain't cheap mate, I was so close to scrapping it tbh. I trust that garage more than others I've been to in the past, so I'm hoping all is good, they've been good in the past (prices edging on the higher end at times but not always) and other folk wait for work from them as going elsewhere can be dodgy.

    • @smithbuilt
      @smithbuilt 2 หลายเดือนก่อน

      Yeah, replacing the timing chain would be a good idea, but, I my opinion, it's best to remove the front cover to do so. I was told you can split the old chain and join it to the new one and pull it through but, I feel there is far to much opportunity for something to go wrong. So I'd remove the bumper, grill, radiators ect then take the timing cover off. You can leave the engine in place and not move the timing and not risk any unforseen issues you might cause you're self. Thank you so much for sharing this very clear and instructional video. Every step is crystal clear. I wish others could do it too. Most of the time they talk a lot and show very little. Thanks again, mate.

    I have had problems with my oil feed tube clogging up using 1/4 O.D. Tubing and 100% filtered waste oil . Going to at least 3/8 inch tube

    • @smithbuilt
      @smithbuilt 5 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I found that it's actually better to keep the feed tube cool to help stop blocking. The heating and cooling just causes crudd to accumulate in the tubes, but the extra heat can help the oil to burn better, it depends on if you're willing to keep cleaning it out vs having to get more heat in the chamber for start up
