Do you have any idea of what temperature the magnet loses its magnetism? It could be a good way to make a temperature sensitive switch,, By the way,, keep at it, it will happen,, you're doing great 👍
I just looked it up. It's...... Great I can't remember exactly. High 700c. OK looked again its 770c. If I let it free burn the whole thing glows bright red along with a meter or so of the flue. I'm not keen on it as its a wooden , I restrict the air flow once i hear the magnet drop. Feels like I've been working on the new shed forever...... tore the old one down mid 2019 and started to pour the foundation in spring 2021..... been a long time
