Came across this video while explaining why you don't just put pads on a car without turning or replacing the rotors. This was perfectly instructed with all the right steps. Perfectly done, and reminded me of my old auto shop instructor in high school so many years ago - you are an excellent teacher. Thank you for this :)

What do you do when he rotor goes up and down like a roller coaster I keep trying to center it and never works

So, my old comment from long ago on this is misssing, I will resubmit. all who have watched and read this are also misled. I know he made the errors on the 1/8 of an inch, but what is not stated is that you cannot turn a drum to this diameter unless you plan on throwing it away because the number that is stamped into the drum is the discard dimension. Look it up at the manufacturer level. The maximum machining dimension must allow for wear...usually 20 to 30 thousandths of an inch.

that is rediculous all you have to do is devide 230. 6 by 25 .4 on your calulator and that will give you the metric conversion to inches for your drum diameter way he explained it is to complicated there is no need for it i think he just likes to hear him self talk i used one of those ammco drum mikes for 49 years it is not that difficult all those calculations on the paper are bull shit he is a moron

The minor difference is , my gauge is by unwell. My yellow hose connection does not come with purge valve . Please explain the position of the yellow hose during the whole operation .

He has no idea how to use a drum mike if the drum is 9 inch you set to 9 on both sides of the micrometer and take a measurement 230 mm ÷ x 25.4 = 9 055 tho std his way is way to complecated if he is teaching his students that way i feel sorry for his students that is the most stupid way of doing it by the time he measured it i could have measured it machined it and put it back i used one of those ammco drum micrometers for 49 years as a brake specialist

So hoses are hooked up, gauges indicate the system is low, then no gas is added but hoses are disconnected... confusing at best. Would think that with low system you would add gas while hoses are connected.

Very well done 👍, sort of reminds me of a relative compression test , it’s dirty free tests that saves you time and gives you a track of where the problem is, especially it looks like 2 of the cylinders are low compression, good job!!!👍👍👍

You don't need to do a "non-directional" wire wheel the rotor....
