Unreal Engine 5.4 Technics 1200 Interactive Music Player with MetaSounds
In this multi part tutorial I take a Technics 1200 turntable from Sketchfab, tweak it in Blender, import into unreal and set about giving it a realtime platter, pitch control, 33/45rpm, Crackle, Bit Rate, Record name, time and tonearm scrubbing, on/off switch, gradual slowdown, light button and authentic deck noises!
I use Metasounds and explain Triggers, arrays, patches, input and output variables, how to set variables and read them via Blueprint and how to build a fully interactable music player using Metasounds, dynamic material instances, timelines and much more in UE 5.4.
This is a multi part tutorial and I will be uploading onto TH-cam/Patreon as the weeks go on !!
I used samples from Alchemist and WaveTick and assets from Dekogon and Epic as well as a turntable from Igor Harmendani.

    I want to capture a room from the inside to watch it later in VR. But 3D Gaussian splatting seems to work best when capturing objects from the outside. My results with Polycam were truly ABYSMAL. How to do it?

      Depends on the room and camera really. If there is lots of glass and windows it will fail. If it's empty model it, if it's full of objects any occluded areas behind objects will be hard to capture using anything other than lidar

      Only with the ion dataset, see their latest version. Google maps data streams in and cannot be streamed, there may be some hacks via blender and then reimport

    For those who are not able to export the scene, why not load the tiles, use render warmup, I set it to 256 warmup frames, and it loaded my scene before rendering the shot.

    Hello there doesnt seem to be much information about rendering setting for sequencer on here. I got this part of the tutorial working. I got everything in editor working but as soon as I go to render none of the tilesets are rendering. I am using 5.3.2 . I have rendered static shots in the past with no issue by adding warm up frames in the Render queue settings do you have any idea how to fix this? Thanks

    The reason why you can tell video games are a game is not because of poor graphics is because of Map design. No designer would have every leaf shaped differently or every tree be unique like in real life. Our brains will recognize it. So scanning real life locations is what makes a game realistic.

    Just a note, Vertex Color has been renamed to Color Attribute now. So if you search for the Vertex Color node you wont find it
