Perfect music to animate mans for agressivity if you ask me. I bought better new simple sintetizator for the background-sound for my opinion Americans use too much guitars for everything. I think the here 🇹🇯 music nerving, but the green quite relaxative.✨ Animalmagictimebackflap.

Most stunning statement was in an interview where he said, you got 3 voices, so let's make a melody, a bass line, and a drum set (instead of the annoying 3-voice beep-beep like Nintendo). Words of a true musician - not just of a programmer. That's his concept up to present time. Total genius!

Thankfully, 3DO ran out of budget (if that's the real story) and didn't put an FM chip in the 3DO. It actually had a 16-bit DSP, and could mix and process multiple channels of digital audio and had *far* better audio than the FM-based systems.

Does anybody know anything about how all C64 composers in general got their tunes programmed into the C64? Maybe they interfaced their electric guitars and MIDI keyboards somehow to their C64s? Would be interesting to find out how they did it.

I still wonder how on earth he managed to create the in-game music for Monty On The Run. It was the first C64 soundtrack I heard, it got me hook, line and sinker and my life hasn't been the same since. To this very day, I still listen to the in-game music of Monty On The Run (even this morning!)

I don't get the part about saving to tape for 45 minutes. Even without fast loader/saver the Datassette saves 50 bytes per second, which means a fulll memory dump of 64KB would take 21 minutes. Perhaps his memory plays a trick on him or it only felt that long in the morning after a night without sleep?

Love Rob Hubbbards music, used to record them on tape and play them back. He is exaggerating quite a bit on the 45 minutes to load though - admittedly the tape drive was slow, but his source (which was no doubt plain machine code dumps) would likely have taken just a few minutes to load really.

Rob is extremely smart and knowledgeable but better at making the c64 do more than it was supposed to than doing a presentation. But if you cared about that era, it was very interesting to hear. Rob is a geek and throwing out names of chips are probably lost on those ppl. It seemed like an audience there for something else and they were ready to go.
