Yeah I think the biggest issue with her character isn’t even her power, it’s honestly her core motivations being solely dependent on Naruto and Sasuke. She never has her own rivalries, friends, or arcs that are solely about her.

Yeah, some good points. There is prejudice against mutants in Marvel universe correct, but it is really not fair saying it is like racism. There is genuine danger these people possess, and it is only natural that humans would have trouble accepting them. I mean if someone says they don't want to live next to a person that has a danger of blowing the whole neighborhood up, are they bigots, or thinking about safety? How far can they go to minimize this risk? Take away all mutants' powers just for some dangerous ones, or only the risky ones? Besides it is funny because I think most people that supports X-Men in comics probably will tend to side with taking away gun rights from people. Well some people pose no risk wielding guns, but you want to take away everyones' guns due to crazed people. Not taking a side in these discussions (not even living in US), but they are good food for thought. That's why I personally love the X-Men stories, they pose very tricky situations regardless of what the writers intented as allegories.

Thank you for going into detail on why it’s not her power level that’s the issue with her character, which in turn unbalances the story, but the lack of backstory, motivation, and important character growth and character beats that define her. The few great character moments she has are overshadowed by the rest of them being vapid, weak writing that takes away from her character as written rather than reinforcing it. She is a damsel in distress when she needs to be to let the men look cool, and suddenly a badass when she needs to heal a key character or chip in on a fight. Meanwhile she is also the source of the convenient romance plot line for both Naruto and Sasuke, when she has never liked Naruto more than platonically (which I actually like, and I like that Naruto realized he didn’t click with her personality well romantically and deepened his friendship with her rather than pushing romantically). But all of her scenes with Sasuke render her weak and traumatized by the end, hanging on to any little scrap of mercy or love he could give her, and it’s a truly tragic romantic end that the story CANT acknowledge is traumatic and tragic becsuse it wants a happy ending for all the characters. Sakuras happy ending is attaching herself to an abusive man who never liked her, because she is trying to stabilize him and repair the damage done to herself as well probably. Not a good ending at all. Wish they could have all just been friends and worked on that first.

I think its stated Lizzie is Mrs Bennett's least favourite but Mary is probably her second least fav same with Mr B only with Lydia being his least fav. I don't think Elizabeth is a jerk - Mr Bennett? Kinda. Also Lydia is rude to Mary too. Austen actually had Mary repeat her aunt Philips's past in marrying the man who inherited her uncle and maternal grandfather's solicitor firm (its revealed in letters she wrote to her family)but i think she would have ok living with the Collinses. She would have got with Mr Collins and Charlotte would have not treated her badly. As another plain daughter Charlotte could relate to Mary on some level.

I think the itachi story was a clunky one, and to me most people liked him because of the mystery behind his person, the interesting abilities he had and how he used them, even by the end i could never truly say i understood the character. i remember a discussion that was popular in the community some months back about what could have happened if itachi sided with his clan. i call it the konoha royale, a konoha vs uchiha battle, now i believe konoha would most definitely win but they would not come out unscathed, and considering in a few years orichimaru and the sand would attack and much later pain would attack, this civil war would have doomed konoha to its destruction, especially if the other villages take notice. add to the fact that months prior someone suspected to be from the uchiha clan had caused the 9 tails rampage, the tensions where inevitably high. ( note: how tobi kept this information from sasuke when he told him about itachi. ) there is no need for moral justification of genocide, but that evil action definitely saved konoha. but i do wander if there was a way to resolve the situation peacefully. 1:20 i remember danzo saying something about using sasuke's sharingan to control the 9 tails in naruto, im sure he explored options. as for the rest of konoha, how many civilians would be willing to let their children play with child who had a 9tails inside him, like that thing didnt kill of some of their family and friends years back, that wound would still be fresh. 1:30 i dont see how that is a retcon, the pain and suffering the clans have caused to each other is why they hate each other, i dont see how the existence of the so called magically evil blood takes away from story. that blood is the source of power behind both clans, it doesn't excuse their actions to one another. the only characters affected by some form of predestination are the actual reincarnations themselves hashirama and madara. in the end the 2 clans where able to make peace between themselves though for a short while. Is Sasuke ever stated to forgive Itachi ? cause he doesn't need to forgive him to want to change the system as a whole, if that's where you get the idea from. the only people that saw praise itachi as a shinobi as some the most questionable ones themselves, tobirama, danzo and tobi. 7:09 i don't think that movie is trying to explore anything related to the uchiha masacre. i dont know about the other stories you are referring to here. i do very much like that your suggestion, considers what kishimoto might have been trying to achieve with the character rather than a full deviation that would impact a lot of the other aspects of the story. Maybe it's answered in the manga/anime, it's been 15+ years since I've read/watched it, but if Neji's father got thrown into the second branch family for being the second born kid in his, I assume, first branch family, why isn't Hinata's sister and daughter part of the second branch as well? I guess they could have changed it by the time Hinata's second kid was born, but before her sister was?

Danzo is the reason the village hated Naruto. Danzo was telling the villagers that Naruto is the jinchuriki of the nine tails. The villagers saw Naruto as the nine tails and thus they hated him. Also there are small hints in the part 1 manga about Itachi’s truth

This is a very complicated topic and I don't think there's ever gonna be a purely right or wrong point if the X-Men comics (and the Marvel verse at large) is a failed or successful case study of Prejudice/Bigotry. As, imo anyways, to claim it's a total failure would be to discredit the stories that do a good job at the very least about talking about these topics and those who it may have helped who are part of a marginalized group. But to claim its a total success would be to ignore its genuine insensitive at best handling of certain topics (for example Magneto being compared to Malcom X and yeah Kitty Pryde dropping racial slurs casually, etc). It's also important to note that this is gonna differ depending on the writers and the different verses the X-Men exist in as there are differences between say the 616 verse to say the Ultimate world's version of the X-Men or the 90s show to the X-Men Fox movies. I agree with almost all your points with the only one I sorta disagree with is maybe your critique of the term Mutie in X-Men media. Mainly because we can only comment how that word sounds and is in our world and we don't have 1 to 1 mutant equivalents in irl. If we did however, it'd probably be a different story. I think bottom line I'd say the creation of the X-Men stories were good intentions with insensitive outcomes if that makes any sense . It's also worth noting that some stories are products of their time with no proper greater understanding of struggles of groups at the time besides the surface level (but of course that doesn't exempt them from criticism). And imo, I don't think it's ever gonna have a proper answer as to if the X-Men was a failure or success with it's commentary. The only commentary I can maybe think 95% works for the X-Men stories is more of a straight up political sense. The X-Men being more Democratic, The Brotherhood more militant revolutionaries and the Human Government being more Authoritarian Conservative. Even then that allegory has its faults. I say all this as a Bi, not so die hard Superhero fan as I used to be but still like characters like Wolverine, Gambit, etc

This was a very good video. However, I disagree. There is plenty of evidence in Ancient Greece that Andromeda was white. Euripides describes Perseus mistaking her for a marble statue, bowls depicting her as white while having black servants, and more. You also need to note that Aethiopia was presented in a good light costantly in Greek Mythology. The first time we hear of her being black is from Ovid, who was a Roman poet. As a shipper of Stucky and Stony, FanFiction is a very hard thing to do with MCU Spider-Man for me because of his age. Im late to the party, but Sakura is handled way better in the games, especially those that take their own creative liberties and make little changes. Sakura and Hinata were always portrayed as friends in some of the older games(usually with Sakura trying to help her grow more confident). And that thing you mentioned about a Sasuke vs Sakura fight actually does happen in one of the Ultimate Ninja Storm games. She dodges the chidori and has a clash of her own until Kakashi shows up. I honestly think the games were mostly why i loved Sakura so much as a kid. Same with the movies she's in.

Not interested in ship wars either but Sakura would had had a way better ending with Lee, who worships the ground she walks on. Lee would allow Sakura to be herself, and develop herself outside of the relationship. She should had moved on from her Sasuke obsession way earlier in the series. When Sasuke tried to kill her, that should had been the final straw. And yes, she should have had a better reason to get stronger than to impress two boys. I was very frustrated throughout the series, how they could not give her at least some powers other than punching and healing, which are not that impressive, considering how strong others are. Hinata should had ended up with somebody other than Naruto. Her obsession with Naruto was also not healthy. Naruto could had made a better pairing with Ino or Temari. They would had been a better match for his high libido and flirty personality. Plus none of them were ever rude to him or obsessed with or vice versa. Sai and Ino pairing also makes 0 sense and it just seems they were paired to add an additional child to team boruto or something. Sai even called Ino ugly at one point. Sasuke could had made a good pairing with Hinata, if they were given some actual moments in the manga, which speaking of, is another flaw how little or no interaction exists between some members of Team Konoha, especially the main teams. They are both introverts so they would understand each other and give each other space when needed. Both from powerful bloodlines they would had made ultimate ninja prototypes. No unhealthy interactions between them, so theres a clean healthy slate. And of course, they would had needed to write post war Sasuke much better for that to happen, not the distant, emotionally unavailable weirdo who shows up every 10 years.

I wish they'd bring most of the DCTV shows back for a multiverse crossover because 1. Sam Lane's season 2 finale speech on Superman and Lois was the worst moment of the entire show. The dialogue was forced and felt less like a Superman and Lois moment and more like a Warner Bros moment. Because they needed a way to confirm that the show was NEVER part of the Arrowverse. Even if you hate the Arrowverse, leading the fans on with Diggle cameos and mentioning Oliver and the Crisis for two straight seasons, even in that same episode, was a dick move that disrespects the fans' intelligence. Which is exactly what Warner Bros does, especially with DC fans. And even at the time, I knew the retcon was gonna be pointless. Which proved me right because after the following season, it was announced to be cancelled after the next season! That is a whole other complaint. They canceled the show because they didn’t want multiple Supermen but they’ll allow multiple Batmen? What sense does that make!?! 2. Some DCTV shows didn't get a proper finale including Legends of Tomorrow, the 3rd official Arrowverse show, getting cancelled on a fucking cliffhanger, just so they wouldn't have to pay for the sets anymore. And 3. the last-ever official Arrowverse season was a bad final season of a once decent show that cares more about simping for a badly written side character and less about giving the characters an exciting, definitive and respectful ending. The Arrowverse-scratch that-MOST DCTV shows in general deserved better. And I can't think of a better way to give them an epic ending than by making another multiverse crossover! So many of those shows took place in their own separate universes and probably could've expanded but didn't. Either because of depressing circumstances or because the creators just didn't want to. And then are DCTV shows, especially during the Arrowverse run, that avoided the connectivity of other shows to earn their popularity instead of relying on another show to do that for them. And/or avoiding muddying up the timeline. And that's great. But deep down, some fans just want to see their favorites interact even if they're not in the same universe. And they want to see it happen before it ends...and then most of these shows get cancelled before their time. What's the point of standing out when the network still treats you like shit? The way I see it, every character from every live action DC property (movie, show, audio series, etc) teams up to save the multiverse...AGAIN! I never read the comics, but I know COIE had sequels. Stephen Amell can be a part of the crossover for reasons I don’t want spoil if they haven’t watched The Flash season 9 episode 9. And they can include everybody from Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, Reeves/Routh Superman (they're the same character and you can't convince me otherwise), David Mazouz's Batman from Gotham, Seg-El from the Krypton TV show who was supposed to show up for COIE but schedules got in the way. The Titans, Doom Patrol, Smallville Superman, Naomi because the actress wanted to crossover with the Flash and Superman. Jay Garrick because Eric Wallace being Eric Wallace, he didn't care to explain why Jay Garrick is on Earth Prime when Oliver made a rule as the Spectre that two doppelgangers can't coexist in the same universe (ie Beth from Batwoman). They could've just said Jay Garrick came from Earth 2 where Stargirl takes place but no! That's how he and the JSA from the show are part of the crossover. And I didn't watch Titans (or Doom Patrol or Gotham Knights or anything with Swamp Thing in the title) but I saw a clip that Beast Boy met Stargirl when he traveled the multiverse. That could work to bring the Titans in. And you what? As poorly received as Gotham Knights was, the actors deserve a piece of the pie. And then it ends with most of the shows retconned in the same universe: all of the Arrowverse, Lynda Carter's Wonder Woman, Titans, Doom Patrol, Krypton, Swamp Thing 2019, Stargirl, Naomi, Powerless and Superman and Lois! I read a theory once that The Dark Knight Trilogy was in the Arrowverse the whole time as an explanation for why Batman left Gotham. Honestly, they might as well make that canon since we're never getting a real answer anyway. It'd be funny if Smallville and Gotham were retconned in the same universe, tho. But in all seriousness, maybe the 90s Swamp Thing shows (haven't watched but I researched that there was an animated show and live action show at the same time, either or both) could be on Smallville's Earth since I don't think the comic continuation introduced him yet. They could do this either on Superman and Lois but knowing the creators, they probably just want to focus on finishing their storylines more than anything else. Or Smallville since they have a revival that's been in the works for years now which will be animated for some reason but still. Speaking of animation, there's also the Crisis on Infinite Earths movie trilogy but who knows if the writers or artists will include ANY live action properties anyway? I'd love it if it was just its' own thing as an Elseworlds miniseries with better writing, VFX and what have you. In the future, they can always come back to this universe for whatever project the same way the DCAU returns once in a while!

Out of all the potential that was wasted from most of the Arrowverse getting cancelled, one of them was they didn’t make Lex Luthor president! Even if some people knew how evil he is. Like that matters!!! He didn't even have to appear in the shows, they just have to mention what he did that causes problems that the heroes of each show has to fix. I haven't read the comics but I did research on the President Luthor storyline and Jefferson Pierce was on his cabinet as Secretary of Education, Amanda Waller as the Secretary of Metahuman Affairs, Sam Lane as the Secretary of Defense and Cat Grant as the White House Press Secretary! All of whom are on Earth-Prime! They could just revive Amanda and use the reboot as an explanation! There’s also Frank Rock as Chairman of the Joint Chiefs, whom Marc Guggenheim confessed intended to later appear on Legends and there was even an episode showing a soldier implied to be him. As far as him being a good guy, again I never read the comics for me to know about that. However, Jefferson, Sam and Cat (ha!) are and would use their positions to alert the League on his plans.

In a better world is it okay episode would I find a store for being too simple if I plot I mean they never say what is going to happen with the Justice Lords once everything is over is that we're going to be safe are they are actually going to reform them what about the power vacuum everything is going to just go back to normal that were literally lost his protectors and just because some Batman begins got logo to mice doesn't really mean that everything is going to be perfect or they just don't need them. To prepare the episode goes with a very simple let's hope everything works out since I could swear that Superman mention that he hopes he makes his counterpart change his mind and honestly that's a good enough ending.

As a Sakura fan. I agree with your analysis in many aspects, but I strongly disagree with the notion that Sakura's love to Sasuke sends a negative message. It's crucial to remember that "Naruto" is a fantasy manga that delves into themes of ninjas, hatred, Wars and redemption. It's not a portrayal of real life, and the characters' actions and choices should not be interpreted as life instructions. ​Sakura's crush transformed in true love when she was allowed to meet the Real Sasuke in Part 1. She make her duty save him when he left the village. When Sasuke left Konoha it add another layer of complexity to Sakura's feeling to Sasuke, which is guilt. She feel guilty for her inability to stop Sasuke and her not being strong enough to join the party to stop him. The combination of Part 1 Sasuke being genuinely a good person and acknowledge her, and her guilt over failing to stop Sasuke make her unable to move on from Sasuke even after all that is done. Sasuke always have a soft side for Sakura but was blinded by revenge and hatred. As soon he comes back to his sense was obvious he was gonna to accept Sakura. Sasuke eventually allows himself to commit his feelings to her; the reason he pushed her away wasn’t that he didn’t like her, but because of the awful pain of having lost his family. The Naruto Character himself, who should be the most well-written character in the manga, is obsessed with Sasuke. He has been beaten by Sasuke, knelt down, and cried for him. Ya'll and your double standarts.. It's totally hypocritical how Sakura is scrutinized for loving and wanting to save Sasuke while Naruto is praised. If Naruto is allowed to want to bring Sasuke back and become obsessed with him, so is Sakura. Her feelings shouldn't be scrutinized more just because they're romantic and come from a female character. If Sakura's feelings for Sasuke were potrayed as wrong then the same should apply to Naruto obcession with Sasuke. Its clear to me though that this manga takes a particularly idealistic approach to deal with such situations. If Naruto will not grow up and let go of his bond with Sasuke there is not much pointing that Sakura will do so either. In the Naruto world, children are sent to war, and are meant to kill one another in a mere exam or in mission. Making a big deal of Sakura getting with sasuke after they attempted to kill each other when they were enemies is stupid. Especially stupid since it's not even that same sasuke she fell in love during part 1 or married. He changed and undergone to reform himself before starts a relationship with her and even rejected her company during this time. Please don't bring cases of negative messages to a manga about ninjas and war. Sakura is a ninja trained by the Hokage herself who went after Sasuke to kill him as well. Hinata was almost killed by Neji because the village forced her to fight to the death in a children's tournament. According to your logic, Neji abused Hinata. Sakura suffered countless abuses when fighting against Zaku, Gaara, Sasori, Madara, and Shin. That's the point. They are ninjas. Not "normal women." ​Gaara became Kage despite killing hundred of people from his own village and previously attempting to assassinate everyone. (Including Pinning Sakura against a tree) Itachi killed his parents in front of his brother and then psychologically tortured him for days by showing him the entire Uchiha massacre. If you really want to go down that road, you have to analyze the entire Uchiha clan massacre. The psychological damage that having his parents killed by his own brother caused to Sasuke. The torture that Itachi subjected Sasuke to for 3 days in a Genjutsu to the point of putting him in a coma. How the negative influences of villainous characters like Madara, Orochimaru, Danzo and Itachi had on Sasuke. The effect that the truth about Itachi and seeing Danzo with an arm of Sharingans had on him. So it seems completely dishonest to use only Sakura and say that she "sends" a bad message. According to your logic, Naruto as a character and the manga as a whole sends a bad message if you are not able to see that this is a Shonen about Ninjas. Not Real Life.

I've actually enjoyed most of Flanagan's work that I've seen. Calling Flanagan a straight Ryan Murphy is spot on. I think the reason I have enjoyed Flanagan's work is because they're so over the top they almost feel campy which is very entertaining to me. I will say based on what I've seen from the periphery it seems as if he's taken a lot more seriously than Ryan Murphy. Granted I personally think Flanagan is a better storyteller, I can understand being put off by people touting him as a great auteur. Fandom will quickly make me want nothing to do with a creator and their work lol. I think his work also benefits from having fantastic actors. The performances are so good imo it can distract from the weakness in the story. I will say I began being put off Flanagan when I think the fan fare he's received seemingly started going to his head. There's this speech in one of his shows where a teenage boy mocks a teenage girl from trying to tell a scare story using shock and he condescends to her saying something to the effect of surprising someone is easy but that's not what real horror is...exept literally every Flanagan show I've seen uses jump scares and shock elements. Just felt very hypocritical and self important. I do appreciate this perspective because when I was watching the show, I enjoyed the spectacle of it but didn't really examine if the punishments for the characters were actually fair. I do remember being very frustrated with Lenore's death. I get that it's supposed to be tragic but what is making Gugino's character go through will killing her too? She seems to be totally in control, so why does she kill her if she doesn't want to? I assumed it's implied that the magic works on the promise being fulfilled but the show doesn't make it clear that she's bound by anything or that the agreement can't simply be undone.

From what I can find, the original in-universe justification for the Suicide Squad's creation was for ultra-dangerous government black-ops missions that proper heroes like the Justice League couldn't or wouldn't do for obvious reasons. The whole "take out the heroes if they go rogue" idea is a relatively recent change that only makes their existence make significantly *less* sense.

i love Sakura. i really enjoyed the episode where she and Ino fight when i was a kid, because i was a girl who got bullied and i felt very represented by her. However, watching Naruto as a grown up, i can't help but feel disappointed that her big issue with Ino was because of Sasuke, and how her whole arc in Part I revolves around him. it's so frustrating because while shonen is meant for boys, girls watch it too! i watched it religiously when i was little and i latched onto Sakura so hard because of that but the story kept disappointing me everytime

(14:25) I have a different idea. The fight should be Sasuke and Karin vs Kakashi and Sakura. Karin does not get many good scenes. It would be interesting for Sakura to have a battle of wits with Karin as well.

Sakura and Tenten was a missed friendship opportunity because Tenten is a huge Tsunade fan. Also she should have learned Genjitsu in her younger days to compensate for her lack of fighting abilities and also to give balance in her team as at that time Sasuke could not do any Sharingan Genjitsu cheat as he was Proficient in Ninjitsu and Naruto was with Taijitsu. Her very few "achievements" in the first arc was demonstrating Chakra Control, saving Naruto from falling after Orochimaru sealed his Nine Tale connection, keeping both Sasuke and Naruto alive when they were incapacitated during Orichimaru's "test" on Sasuke, Substitition Jitsu against the 3 Sound Ninjas, Bunshin Jitsu against Ino and Dispeling Kabuto's Genjitsu. But you could count that moment when she used herself as a Shield when Gaara attacked Saskue and that look she gave Gaara triggered his trumatic past as an "Achievement".
