Great work, but don't call it a film study, that sounds like an 80's Art's school class. Call it a "player video analysis" or something.
I think they gave him a ton of ice time that game too!!! I live in Calgary and have watched him play with the Hitmen...Kid has a legit Pronger like mean streak that shows once and awhile too...Once he develops...Should be a stud in the NHL. 😎
A year since this has been dropped and I still think about this film study quite often. You did a fantastic job breaking down the pitfalls within the 2023-24 team last year, and I'm always curious to know how you feel about this year's teams through the lens of film studies like this, especially after the Kings Senators win. Great job once again and can't wait to see more of these in the future
He'll be 19 in a few days good size. I'd play him on 3rd pairing + PP time immediately. People who want to return back to junior are just saying that because they're not used to this decision. Ottawa needs to be aggressive.
Great video, love the in depth breakdown, easy to miss all this stuff watching live. Pleasantly suprised by yakemchuks play, excited to see what he can fo in years to come
I’m new here so not sure how often you do these types of vids but please do more of these breakdowns during the season 👍🏻
I would have some patience with Carter. He almost seems too good to be true.
And he's big AND he's a right shot!
Ngl if you did breakdowns across the league like this. I think you’d be one of the biggest nhl content creators. This video is insanely good. So informative. I’m actually shocked how good this was. Think I could of watched like another 9 hours. Young players/ new comers to the sport would probably find this really helpful as well. Game happens so quick there so much you miss. Great job! Love the work! Can’t wait for the next break down.
Awesome break down. Subscribed. Yakemchuk looks amazing considering he’s 18 and that was his first nhl competition. We got another great one.
Great summary!
Thanks for sharing your great analysis with us.
Missed the EDS TH-cam. Love to have it back
Heluva breakdown, love stuff like this… keep it up!
keep him for 9 games, if not for good. lets see what he does his next game. He is really good!
Good video Loved how he broke it down... should be getting more subs soon.
When you get a end to end defensiveman that can score...that's something special.
Yahkumchuk & Reinhart are looking good 🍻
Missed ya on TH-cam man! Great video, looking forward to more!
Great breakdown, I hope we can see more of yakemchuk in the preseason, or even a cpl games in the regular season.
I have watched a ton of hockey in my life, but I don't see the details like this broken down. Thanks!
Love to hear it, Paul! I have the most fun making breakdowns for sure. There's so much missed when watching live. Glad you enjoyed it!
Good job - I thought the breakdown was thorough and valuable. I agree, Yakemchuk should go back to Juniors. Perhaps three or four more preseason games, would be my vote.
Great video! Appreciate the hard work putting it together 🙌
Much appreciated! Been inspired by your work for years.
Amazing Breakdown 💥💥
I could watch replays of that goal all day
Can you do this again but with Vladdy on our roster and you with 50% of his salary
The new brain trust acknowledges the players' skillset. But notable, there is an acknowledged reality that chemistry counts and all-star lineups don't always congeal into winners. Good job guys. Always enjoy your dialog. Keep it up!
Sticking with the Staiosisms- Everyday Sens are climbing the ranks to become a "Best in Class" podcast. Excited for what the new year brings.
They hardly even make podcast
@ayashin19 but when they do they are always a good listen.
This Sens podcast should be renamed EveryMonth Sens!
I think Alfie stays regardless. If the coaching job does not work he will go back to the press box. Time stamp 11:52.
I kind of feel like under a new GM these appointments return to their positions. I think a new GM should choose their staff and Alfie and Martin shouldn't be put in a place to be "fired"
Its more then likely jaque martin will groom alfie to be the new coach.
1st rd pick is all we got again ..thankfully we have three years to correct pierre dorion f up
eugene and pierre dorion made some horrible trades
trade deadline will be telling ..nobody is safe
There are no superstars on this team. A superstar can lead the team and make a difference. This team is not good and very under developed.
I LUV Jacques and Alfie It won't be hard for them to do better than what the Sens have been doing this year.
This had to be done to evaluate the players with new set of eyes
Maybe local investors had enough and said to pull plug.
Finally, Jacques Martin is back behind the bench.
Dj will be here 2027
Last-Place Sens
Gj!
I watched a video with a Dr explaining what probably happened and he was talking about how if you take a hit in the right spot on the right side of the neck (Kelly's hit) that it will disrupt the blood flow and the body will react as Larkins did. The refs made the right call in a rare ref W
It's crazy that people think Jo was intending for this to happen. As he's clearing the net you can literally see his eyes are on the puck, and then when it immediately pops out towards the blue line, its not like he continues to drive Larkin into the ground NO he follows the puck and continues the play. If anything Kelly was the reckless one by coming in high like that when Larkin was off balance, but since the broadcast just kept replaying that one slow - mow of Jo, everybody is up in arms over a guy making a damn hockey play.
There's a reason Red Wings fans won't show the video and need to show a screenshot of it to capture and manipulate what they want to see
I cant believe i didnt have notifications on im 20 mins late
Nice win tonight! The boys played really well. You guys crack me up with your grudge against Detroit. lol They've been better every single year since Yzerman took over in 2019...and they're very clearly better this year than last. Anyway, hopefully the Sens are going to string together some wins in here. I believe a win against the Leafs would match the longest win streak of the year so far. Go Sens Go! Edit: How the heck are 75% of the Senator's games at home? What a weird schedule. Sounds like a whole lot of road games coming.
I’m relishing in it, I have a brother-in-law who is a diehard Detroit fan, the rivalry feels like destiny at this point
@@colinsweeney273 Could be fun. I doubt it'll be much of a rivalry until they meet in the playoffs. I know a whole lot of people think Detroit is way behind Ottawa in their rebuild, but I think just the opposite. Detroit has only a few of their prospects on their roster...but their farm system is stuffed with talent waiting for an opportunity to earn a spot. I think they're building a monster, but time will tell.
@@solarion9802 Detroit will fall off after a hot start. Sens are definitely ahead in the rebuild however Detroit has a good coach and system they play, if the senators ever figure out that part, the gap will be greater. Ottawa is definitely not playing up to their abilities
@@neilsunstrum933 Yeah, that's what people have been saying all year. Detroit did fall off after a hot start, they went .500 for 10 games that ended in Sweden. Since then they've gone 6-1(.857). It's December now...teams are what they are for the most part. I believe Patrick Kane is activated for the game tonight too, so it'll be interesting to see how that goes. Yeah, the narrative has been that the Sens and Sabres are ahead of Detroit in the rebuild race...but I see very little evidence of that...particularly from Buffalo. Twenty games in and I still don't know what to make of the Sens this year. They've a losing road record, but somehow 75% of their games count as "home" games. Given all the time on their own ice, their being .500 is incredibly underwhelming. Guess we'll know by Christmas...since 7 of 10 Sens games are on the road coming up here.
Jack are you going gray sens are stressing you out
They put in a great effort to win. Blocked a lot of shots. DJ lives for another day.
Yea but why do sens fans keep falling for it they always win 1 game and everyone thinks it's OK than they lose the next 3 or 4 dj has to go why waste a entire season over a coach ottawa should be more like edmonton
Sens aren’t winning anything Anytime soon. The season is already over and most knowledgable hockey fans know this. Their division is too strong to be pissing away games with no effort and looking like a disorganized Junior C team. They have a country club atmosphere in Ottawa all buddy buddy that’s a recipe for losing. Must be nice to be making $8 million a year to play a sport half ass and have a country club atmosphereh
You pretty much nailed it. Country Club, no accountability, coached by the same guy since they have been handed positions and ice time by default of being a team in a total rebuild.
@dwightbrown chabby is 💯 looking more forward to the links than he is the ice
