Today, I’ll show you how to make authentic Takoyaki Sauce and Okonomiyaki Sauce! While these delicious sauces are commonly found in Japan, you might not always have access to them where you live. Don’t worry-I’ll walk you through an easy and quick recipe using simple condiments you probably already have at home. By the end of the video, you’ll not only know how to prepare these sauces but also understand the unique differences between them. Let’s dive in and bring some Japanese flavors to your kitchen!
◎Takoyaki Sauce Ingredients:
・4 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
・4 tablespoons of sugar
・2 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
・1 tablespoon of lemon juice
・1 tablespoon of soy sauce
◎Okonomiyaki Sauce Ingredients:
・3 tablespoons of tomato ketchup
・1 tablespoon of soy sauce
・3 tablespoons of Worcestershire sauce
・1 tablespoon of sugar
・1 tablespoon of honey
If you don’t have Worcestershire sauce, it's perfectly fine to make the sauce without it. Of course, using it will result in a more authentic flavor.

      Thank you for the comment! Costco is really convenient, isn't it? Try to choose meat with a higher fat content as much as possible. Also, the key is to cook it slowly over low heat!

    Is there any other ingredients to substitute the sake and mirin? To make it halal

    • @jpcookingichie
      @jpcookingichie 18 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา

      If you can’t use alcohol, it’s also fine to skip it. The role of cooking sake and mirin is to add umami and eliminate unwanted odors, but other seasonings generally achieve similar effects, so omitting it won’t make a big difference.

    Made this today and it turned out great for my first attempt! I think in the future I will add a little more sugar and saltiness.
