91 days in the Arctic, trailer.
In the summer of 2023 my good friend Adam Riley and myself spent 91 days rowing across the arctic and following the famous north west passage route. We were pushed to our limits on a daily basis. So much more to share with you, the full story will be out soon!

Rowing 300 Miles In Homemade Boats
มุมมอง 15Kปีที่แล้ว
The paint is still fresh on our newly built row boats, and it's time to put them on the ocean for Sea Trials. We begin this trip from Cortes Island, which is off the west coast of Canada near Vancouver. Loaded up with enough food and supples for a month at sea we leave the island and head north. Surrounded by snowcapped mountains while gliding along on the crystal clear waters of the pacific. L...
Building a Log Cabin Start to Finish | Timelapse
มุมมอง 658Kปีที่แล้ว
Solo log cabin build without any music or words. From clearing the land and harvesting logs, to milling lumber on an Alaskan chainsaw mill for kitchen countertops. The cabin was water tight in 60 days, and I moved in right away. I used spruce logs that were still green due to the lack of time before winter set in. I lived on site during the entire build process staying in a hot tent.
Building An Arctic Expedition Rowboat
มุมมอง 13Kปีที่แล้ว
Rowing 2000 miles across the Arctic Ocean, up and over the top of Canada is the "last first" in Arctic exploration. Due to the incredibly harsh and remote environment, choosing the right boat is vital. We felt like nothing on the market was up to the task. So we decided to build our own boats - 19 foot rowboats to be exact. These vessels give us many advantages over a traditional one person cra...
The North West Passage Kickstarter Campaign Video
มุมมอง 6Kปีที่แล้ว
This video outlines our plan to try and be the first people to successfully cross the North West Passage in on season using human power only. Our route will take us from Tuktoyaktuk in the east to Baffin Island in the west. 2000 miles across the Arctic Ocean. There is a short weather window in the summer months allowing the possibility of a successful crossing feasible. We will be using a match...
Exploring Remote Costal Beaches With Dolphins | Camp And Cook
มุมมอง 3.3Kปีที่แล้ว
The magical island of Newfoundland is a hidden gem to say the least. It's located off the north east coast of Canada, and is the most easterly point of land in North America. Along with Tom Garstang and Adam RIley, we head out onto the chilly waters of the North Atlantic with plans to spend four nights sleeping on beautiful beaches. Fully stocked with supplies, we prepare some delicious beach d...
Slingshot Survival | Cooking Squirrel
มุมมอง 5Kปีที่แล้ว
Part 2.. Waking up on the inland shores of Newfoundland after three long nights of rain, the growling of our empty bellies pushes us all into the woods to find nourishment. This patch of woods is very unforgiving, having very little berries left on the shrubs and not much for wildlife. We focus our energy on hunting squirrels. I use my slingshot while Adam Riley and Tom Garstang use their recur...

This will be worth the wait Thanks Matty!
Great work! What were the dimensions of the building?
Wish to see a visit to this cabin again! Maybe work more on it. I loved every minute of every video! Learned a lot too. Thanks!
Yeahhh budddddddy
Where’s this to? I’m from Clarenville, got a cabin In tug pond
I taught my rotty husky wolf cross pup to pull a few truck rotors on a chain, and stood at the end of the drive way.. we didn’t dog sled but she pulled me everywhere in my small town. Thankfully we have good pavement because of the taxes. So I would stand on a longboard. A few times even black out drunk i swear on moms grave she would go to the persons house by name. She’s 14 now. And those days were young. She would pull me into the half pipe at the skate park. And I’m a country guy. I don’t skate but because of her I couldn’t walk her nice so I’d hitch her up she’d heel at stop signs people on main street even laughed. I have pictures of us in jasper and all the hiker/bikers on main by the train bridge where there’s a trail through the tunnel was fun too. Man I love that dog ❤ old man sledding dog stories got me like a 2nd grader in the library with my legs crossed.
Old man stories are the secret to life. Also the outdoors. So this is a wow video.
You should go on the alone show man. 22 days alone… 30 could make you a lot of dough.
You catch many fish?
You’re no different than David Thompson and you did that all alone with gear. Dude your hard asf.
Excellent video of DIY boat building with all the details and attending frustrations when you take on such a huge project. What an accomplishment! Congratulations and all the best on your upcoming expedition. Looking forward to your future updates. ,
NOW TEAR IT DOWN
WHAT HAPPENS WHEN YOU GET A LITTLE TO FREE
Sick cabin. Too bad there's nothing to do around therr
Oh so beautiful❤
Great videos - Question - how are you charging you camera & DeWalt batteries?
So sad for your cabing , it was an awesome hob and place, ended in ashes, to shame
странно что так мало подписчиков, ваши видео очень крутые. 👍
Just more proof of what will power and determination can do along with some ingenuity.
The videos are beautiful my dude keep it up and hope to see you at r2ak one day. Thanks for the inspiration!
what brand of propane cook stove was that ? shame how this ended
Hello 👋. Good job 👍. I like looking 👀 it. I subscribe
@Skote Outdoors really proud of both you guys especially you Matty,I know what physical and mental hardship is but I hope through this you really found yourselves spiritually and found that inner strength that only you can feel.Sending much respect brotherly love and warrior vibes to you both. The video was amazing .
Amazing. Well Done. Also amazing how this made my back hurt.
Is there a petrol station at the neighbors ???
Man I wouldn’t know where to start with something like this I love watching these type of videos but I’ve never done anything in the construction industry and wouldn’t have a clue what ro do but love the thought of giving something small a go
So…is your blue arm stronger than your white arm?
Nobody: Abraham Lincoln before becoming the 16th president:
what happened exactly? what kind of issues did u have with whom and why did they asked you to remove it?
I’m soooo sad for you. I couldn’t believe the ending. Wow. Unbelievable
You did awesome man I love the video. It was cool to see the cabin from start to unfortunate finish
So the communists in the yukon made you burn her down eh, can't have a man out there being independant in communist Canada 😂.
Bahah ya that pretty much sums it up
Skrote.
Land dibbsing by mining industries is so wrong
Agreed
Love the video man
One of the best
glad you liked it!
Damn, fuggin government strikes again!

I like eating the little white thing that sticks to the shell. I use the other half of the shell to pull it off...
yum, ill have to try your shell trick next time
Can you have a rifle up there with you?
you could but we didn't,the whole point was to feel the struggle of feeding yourself without one.
Is it necessary to randomly shake your head every time yall eat dinner?😂
oh yes sir it is lol
Wow
back at ya
I would hope he is cutting trees and building a cabin on land he owns..
leased land yes
Love cabin love wood working but at this point I wonder how the Native American feel about all they hard work getting cut down I mean it was and is they land no one talk about this 😅
yes I agree, but if you live in North America you're on stolen land also.really if look deep all land has been taken from someone. very sad
Great video. 69 is a good number ✌✌
You got that right!
