It all makes sense now that I understand just the basis of Toa mata - Nuva and all the team names, but I'll probably have to rewatch it a few times.. btw what happened to the mahri while Phantoka/Mistika kicked Makuta butt???

The Matoran had recently returned to Metru Nui and were living there while the island of Mata Nui was abandoned in preparation for the Great Spirit’s awakening.

If a user was inhabiting another body when the original one is destroyed. Would they still fade away, or would they be stuck in their new body.
I think the key thing is that the mask only temporarily turns the user into a spirit. Since the mask is tied with the release of the spirit, I would imagine the original body being destroyed (with the mask destroyed) would still make the spirit fade away, even if they are in a new body. Without the mask, there isn’t a way for the user to maintain the release of the spirit.
