I just got my first boat. 1965 lone star V-hull, with 6hp Johnson sea horse. I have spark but it doesn't try to start. So I know my points are good. Strong spark, no bark. Fuel delivery is most likely that issue. Thank you for the information, I would have just removed the carb and created more work than needed.

My truck was def red lining at the temperature gauge, and I bought the truck with it over heating…(def wasn’t overheating in the 200 miles or so when I bought it from a sketchy girl) has a new water pump so I assumed truck was maintained 200 miles later engine over heat and coolant was draining so fast. Lost story short, I pulled out the top radiator hose. Used a water hose to spray in to see if any leaks and sure enough a leak in the bottom radiator…. Then I noticed they reused the old clutch fan so I just replaced the whole water pump, and a new clutch fan…. And when you do that particular job, you gotta be sure to bleed all the air correctly and fill with new coolant correctly! You don’t just pour into reservoir and call it a day….( you gotta pour the gallon into water pump hose line directly and then fill the radiator directly , then put the top radiator hose together, button it all back up, and then finally fill the reservoir…) (But I removed my clutch fan by using a large crescent wrench, and a rubber mallet hammer and just hit it a few times till large but came loose, that’s all I wanted to say) truck works great now and have no idea which I did to fix the over heating issue lol oh I did change water pump thermostat too lol

Hi. Great video. Mine backs off when the engine is running causing the chain to jump a tooth. I cant back it off manually - it only does it when the engine is running? Do you have any ideas what this might be?

I have a 2003 Silverado 1500 and the back lights for the gauge clusters are off. So you are saying it’s the TBC 2A fuse on the side of the dash? So… check this out!!! While trying a new headlight switch module, I noticed a bit of white corrosive powder on the harness plug in a couple of holes. The pins on the switch were slightly coated too. So, I took a pin and cleared the white powder away as well as sliding the pin into the plastic plug holes and went in and out about 30 times to rough up and clean away the corrosion. We put it back together with the old switch and voila, 1/3rd of the Speedo has light as well as the gauges to the right of that. So tomorrow, I’ll clean out all the pins to make sure they are free of corrosion. That should do the job.

Dirty gas jet probably cause this. The insulation firbes fall out of the wool causing gas air mixture problems. That is why they sometimes work after turning them up side down which moves the fibres away. Most importantly make sure your furnace tube is well insulated

I wish I saw this three years ago. I purchased a new/used stator assy for a KE100. The exciting coil wasn't working on the bike I bought. I considered winding a coil but discarded the body. A couple of years back I purchased a new old stock coil (21049-1004). Just can't seem to get a proper resistance reading on the coil.

Mine the problem is , I’m not get the full power , run very well, easy to start but I’ve got like haft power on , is going less fast than my 4 CV..! Do you have any idea of the problem..? Thank you

Hey Paul. I know this is an old video. Ive got a question about my 1966 johnson ld-11r. I took the lower unit off to change the impeller, and there are two spring that came out but one of them fell out and I have NO idea where it belongs in there, if its supoosed to be on the driveshaft or not.

Dumb question but does the welch plug and low speed pin control air, or gas? I have a 1992 9.9 evinrude. The carb doesnt have a welch plug, but the carb top cover sits over a gasket. Kind of the same look when i pull the cover off and gasket off, theres 3 orifices at the end of where the pin sits under it. I took the pin out and it smelled like gas. If its supposed to regulate air, i might have a leak. I can barely start my motor but once it does itll run and idle on full throttle only. Once i turn throttle down it dies, and then i cant restart it. I've cleaned carb and rebuilt it etc many times but now ive found this video, im gonna clean those orifices and take pin out and clean that too and replace the gasket. Came here for one issue, discovered I may have another. Had no idea a weak stream wasn’t just a sign of old age “issues” in guys… 😂. Oh well… another day with my head wedged in the belly of my ‘97 GTI.

Guys I changed the rubber and the water not comes off anymore, but the exhaust pipe on the bottom still overheating. Just on the bottom, the top part from exhaust still in good temperature No body knows what’s going on ? The jetski going like 50mph, 2 minutes after just go like 10 because overheating

Hello, good afternoon, I have the hose that goes from the front on the right side where it should drain loose water inside the Jet Ski. A few days ago when I went to the lake I didn't realize it and the entire Jet Ski filled with water inside. Please if you could help me tell me where that hose goes at the other end.

A bad exhaust bellow in a gen 1 or 2 will not allow water in the boat. The exhaust bellow carries engine exhaust and cooling water from the transom to the out drive to lake water. A bad u-joint bellow or a bad shift cable bellow will allow lake water into the boat.

You seem like you know a thing or 2 about these. Before I even go to the trouble of checking all this can you tell me if my ski is burnt up?! I say that because you mentioned if you don't see any pee.... just stop. Well I was driving and not looking back for any of that, came to a slow down in a cove and saw the "hi temp" warning on the display and it died. Tried several times after that to crank, but it would start to crank and then like there wasn't enough energy to actually turn over anything. Not sure how the battery or anything would be too weak since it started 15 min before this with no issue. So do you think I've burnt something up and forget it or anything for me to try? 2002 gtx rfi. Thank you!
