Rather than Notion, Docmost looks to be more like an open source version of Atlassian's Confluence wiki product. You used to be able to self-host Confluence; but Atlassian pulled that as a product - Confluence is now SaaS only. Docmost looks to be a great alternative for those who want to keep their data within their own environment. Thanks for sharing!
I’ve had others mention the same thing, it’s great it has many use cases. Thanks for checking out the video
Loved this thanks for sharing. Can you tell me name of that free service you use for sending emails from these selfhosted application please? Can’t see a vid on your channel about it but no you mentioned it somewhere thanks.
Hey, I use Mailgun, you sign up for a free trial then you can switch to a pay as you go plan but the it has a free tier and I have never gone over it, so it has never cost me anything

is there a way i can do this without the cloudflare tunnel so i dont have the bandwith limit with there tos?
Yeah, can just expose it via your router using a port forward and a reverse proxy like Nginx Proxy Manager :)

So instead of pihole can i set cloudflare zerotrust custom localdomain fallback, which will then point to my nas nginx proxy?
Yeah you can have local DNS as a fall back
Did you map the whole nextcloud app to a external drive or did you split the data to another drive?
Nextcloud was on the external drive
The issue I'm having is, the IP for my Nginx is the same as my unraid server. I'm still in the early stages of this so I'm sure ill work it out (i hope)

I followed the directions and ran into a few problems. The first I ran into while trying to log into the element client on my phone. I was able to resolve ".well-known not available" by adding a "public_baseurl" to my homeserver.yaml file. After that I was able to log in, but the client is stuck spinning on "Initial sync: Waiting for server response....". UPDATE: I FOUND THE FIX! The public_baseurl needed to be set as and not , and then logging in and all features on the phone works!
Thanks so much. Video is v helpful
so the documentation has us do a bcrypt hash and i cant get mine to function properly, idk if im doing something wrong or? i generate a hash for a password, launch the stack (using portainer) and when i try to sign into the web console it doesnt authenticate

How can you use this to run script serverless, with docker? Like running an azure function app (which are ran in Linux) with a windows docker image? Is it even possible?
If you can run a Docker container then yeah, this will be no different
hi that's great, i want to know how much power consumption that server produces? please answer my question before i buy it.
Thank you for the overview! I was looking for something i could make a NAS out of it. Just wondering if the usb-c would be ok to connect a HDD dock to it in case i want to have more drives, speed would not matter since it will be just streaming and backups

Nice article, everything looks fine but within Grafana I can't see any labels. Any idea?
Hi. Can FileBrowser be accessed via API? Can I upload files, create folders and download files from my code (p.e. Spring Boot application)?
Great explanation, just on point for node-exporter, It will be more efficient if it's setuped using docker-compose, in my case I don't have Sudo privilege. as you truly know making it on a docker-compose make the setup portable. Thank you
Thanks for this tuto , !!
Omg this is literal years of trial and error, you just earned yourself a subscriber
this is super helpful, thanks mate
Only 6 months later and things have sure changed. Not a smooth process so far to get this working.. In the docker compose file, the command: headscale serve has changed to command: serve and I get this error: Error initializing error="failed to load configuration while creating headscale instance: server_url cannot contain the base_domain, this will cause the headscale server and embedded DERP to become unreachable from the Tailscale node." which contradicts how your setup is.
I tried to install it directly on Raspbian but I already had pi-hole, Unifi and wireguard running. It didn't like that. Guess I'll try docker next. Thanks will give it a go tonight. i didn't know downloading/installing docker would take over 1 hour on a Pi4 (2Gbit internet). Could be the slow USB drives in it. Really need to invest in a SSD/NVME hat. Sadly nextcloud bogged down the performance so much other processes were running into problems to where pihole wouldn't function anymore.
Great viedo man! Thanks! Can i copy files into the server throught this ssh connection? like with scp command
I had to add a python_version = 3.7 to the variables to get mine working. Other than that, had cloned yours from GitHub and used it exactly as so. Not sure why that was the case, but adding the python variable fixed it.
Does anyone know how to setup a turn server that works with this setup? so that it is possible to do videocalls
This sadly does not work on a Windows Server. :/ There is a server found at this domain but it returned an unexpected status code Invalid domain or IP. Is it the NPM server? Please make sure your domain points to the IP where your NPM instance is running.
It's cool, but the reverse share shouldn't be configurable by the visitor. If you've requested files, they should just drop them in there and that's it. It's not their server to create shares on. My opinion.
Excellent video!
Good morning from across the big pond. Love your videos. I tried installing this using the docker compose, but it wouldn't launch. i happen to have portainer running in the background, and logs showed it failed. i modified it with my own specific information. I went and ran the docker pull from the github and it worked. So i did something wrong. But how did you get projects to save? I can access the gui, and can create areas, but no projects. When i create them... they just disappear
Hey, I did notice that the creation of projects was a bit hit and miss if made via like a task. I had to go to the projects section and make them first and then they would work. Still very much in Beta
Hi! I am in big troubles and need help: I have Immich installed on a Proxmox LXC, with thousands of pictures & videos in the database. After finishing the recent upgrade to the 1.122.3 version, the Web interface asked me to identify me, which I did. Unfortunately I used the "Register" option instead of the "New session" option using my application Admin credentials. Being considered a new user, I faced a "Click to upload your first picture" screen, with 0 photo/video in that account. However, the storage stat (Online Server) shows 28.8GB, which was the size of my database. By chance, I still access the LXC via the console, using root. I tried a backup "restore", but the problem is in my identification on the web interface. Can anybody help me, please? Thank you in advance! Marc S.

First vid I watched besides the Linux sysadmin stuff for the last month and a complete n00b... But thanx for the insight. My questions are becoming more complex and leading me back really deep and at times a bit tiring. I was wondering what would be the best route from n00b to basic sysAdmin setup, let's say vps running a webhosting service for personal use. Got it up, setup some sort of authentication and it works for my automation setup but I'm asking myself those questions and going back to terminal learning about the apps I can use as such for better info gathering at first. It's a journey, it's still new to me even though I understand the cli a bit and am not scared to use it. Inevitably, I think I'll probably move my time more to the terminal than in apps, I enjoy the tweaking and figuring shyt out. Anyway, that's my 2c and again, great insight, thanx.
