Gawarawila Thanna” (Garawila Plains) is a fantastic location and a local destination near Maskeliya. As the “Gawara” generation lived around this region, the area was named the “Gawarawila Thanna.” By now, it is a popular traveling destination among both locals and foreigners. The youth are much interested in camping in the “Gawarawila Thanna” area as the place is wild and away from the noisy human backgrounds. Camping is challenging in “Gawarawila Thanna,” but the energetic youth finds it a fantastic wildlife experience. Even the environmentalists and the investigators are visiting this place.
