2020 Ontario Formula Drift ProAM Shootout - FD PROAM - Bryson Cook Battles
Hey everyone, to celebrate competition coming back to Ontario, I put all of @OneLapKings footage of Bryson Cook's RX7 together from the event. Thank you very much OneLapKings for providing the awesome footy on this awesome day. The FC RX7 did amazing considering it was the most underdog car at the event aside from former pro drift driver Pat Cyr in his Honda powered AE86.
Enjoy!
Enjoy!

Turbo Converted BMW E28 finally hits the dyno
มุมมอง 2.3K2 ปีที่แล้ว
IT WAS RUNNING FINE IN THE LAST VIDEO!! *angry noises* I thought this was going to be the most exciting video to make of the entire series, but I'm not surprised this was the least enjoyable for me. I didn't even want to go in to work on the car that day. I was just sitting at home with feeling of existential dread. Why am I working on this car still? Am I doing the right thing with my life. We Restored an AE86 and it's Almost Done! Shooting Primer + Drift School Surprise Update!
มุมมอง 1842 ปีที่แล้ว
After more than 1000 man hours into this restoration, we are finally in the finishing stages of the AE86 restoration. I thought this was a good update video on the progress of this car, especially since we haven't really been capturing much footage or documenting this process at all. The goal is to have this car driving by spring and I am going to make that happen whether I like it or not.
5 Mods for your BUDGET Drift Car in 2023 - Drift School 240SX Build Breakdown!!
มุมมอง 8K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We've had a bunch of interest lately for a video to go over what it takes to build a drift car on a budget. I also wanted to shoot a breakdown of the 240 rental car so what better way than to combine the two videos into one! Hope you like the video. I spent way too much time on this one but I'm starting to get a hang of the editing process finally. A lot of people told me to cut down the intro ...

Man am I ever happy this car is ready to go back on the dyno now. It took two full episodes to get this car back to where it was before. Sorry this video is a little bit longer, I broke my 15 minute rule but I didn't want to spend another 10 hours trying to condense the video another 7 minutes. My apologies. I know the real homies will watch it all the way through anyways (love you guys) Anyway...

This E28 535 has been haunting me for a long time now. Almost a decade ago, my former boss decided to outsource a bunch of work on this car to a high end performance shop. Not even a year later, the shop declared bankruptcy, closed down, the owner DISAPPEARED and has never been seen since. I'm absolutely serious. The car was delivered back to the shop will all of the cool parts stolen off the c...
3:15 I know for a fact that a 1983 810/Maxima with the 2.4L straight 6 will start and idle with the timing off 180º. It idles at about 50 RPM and can barely move itself across a flat surface, but it runs! 😅
Did you do any trimming or anything to fit those tires? Or does the two inch lift suffice for keeping everything from rubbing?
Is this at Grand bend and is it happing October 13th 2024 Cdn Drift Series is it free to watch
I have a twin! 15 R-line tdi. Black. Forge 2” lift, currently on 265/65r18’s. Thinking of keeping that or going to 255/70r18. No tune yet. Curious how much you trimmed to make those tires fit? I see you’re in Ontario too? From Ottawa here
WHERE ARE YOU LOCATED?
Toe EGG
Works great in hilly conditions with a 42 ft camper
every ka24 has a nasty aftermarket intake. clean that thing lmfao
Hey if I can’t get my hands on a V8 model, what would be your favorite V6 configuration to tow 6500+lbs easy? Will the 3.6L gasoline engine be just as great of a tow vehicle or do the TDI engines stand alone in this aspect?
Hey if it ain’t too late, TDI For sure.
Love KA videos no matter what the content
No hills in canada? Have you been to BC? I swear they don't know how to go around a hill, they just go straight over! Drove truck up there in the early 90's. Don't take that easy way, go up the old hwy to get to Prince Rupert!
Thanks for the video! This saved me after fiddling around for hours trying to get my car to start.
What year is it and what engine does it have?
That edit when u started the car was insane!
Did the upgraded tires cause any issues
I am wondering about the year you bought, I am in cali and been looking for a Touareg, I have a 2015 golf too and requires the full DEF (adblue) system, so I am curious if as fast as the Touareg, why where you able to get the system deleted? Because if that’s the case that would really make up my mind if it affected all touaregs 09 to 2014
I love my T-Reg TDI!
Such an amazing and underrated SUV <3
W hat is you option on that 3.0 TDI diesel. I have seen a lot of bad reviews on them. Is it all hype, poor maintenance, or are they good engines?
I've been nothing but happy with this Touareg so far. It's either met or exceeded all my expectations. It is very possible I've just gotten a lucky one. Its starting to develop a pretty nasty oil leak which might be the oil cooler seals or rear main seal after doing some reading on common issues. Won't know till we tear into it at the next service interval. All I can say is do your oil changes on time or early, and probably delete the DPF like ours. It's currently sitting at 177,000kms. It's been just over 100,000kms of ownership (purchased at 75,000kms)
Is it all hype. Great car, i have one. 7p5 3.0 tdi v6 239 hp(CASA) 8 speed.
Dude. You have obviously never driven in B.C. Drove trucks up there in the early 90's. If there was a mountain, they built a road over it. Was hauling 80,000 pounds and had loaded super B's passing me loaded at 160,000 lbs. Some of the B.C. Cats and Cummins weren't even legal to operate in the U.S.
Totally agree. If we were towing on mountains more often, my choice of tow vehicle or trailer might change. Ontario is pretty flat so I acknowledge its easy to get away with an underrated tow rig and huge loads. I've been through central United States in summer heat towing the same setup and the Touareg definitely gets a serious workout in those mountains (temp gauge creeps up a little further than I would want). But hey it survived to tell the tale. I know central US is still nothing compared to out west mountains though. We also have a 2500 Cummins here at the shop for the real heavy loads although the Touareg still gets used more frequently for towing around here
Had the saaaaame exact problem. Think my timing might still be off by a tooth but after watching this i know exactly how to figure that out. 🤙🏽
Any links to the parts
None of that steering linkage is off-road worthy.
So I just bought a 240sx last owner did the head gasket and we’ll let’s say it wouldn’t start after that …. This video was my solution that n toy
love the editing on the video
How do y’all learn this stuff man
Oh... so no port and polish, dimpling the intake?
What’s the compression warm now?
I have to replace the PVC Valve(rubber grommets) when I replaced the PVC, is between the PVC and breather separator, the rubber vale was so bad and crumble, most of pieces was fall into the breather separator, I didn't take them out before I replaced the new PVC, This this matter?
Good lord! Where did you get your info on towing capacity for passenger cars in Europe? There are less than a handful passenger vehicles in Europe that are rated to 3500kg and even that, requires the driver to hold a special "heavy trailer licence "
www.tuningblog.eu/en/kategorien/tuev-gesetze-verbote/anhaengerlasten-356756/#:~:text=The%20technically%20possible%20towing%20loads,kilograms%20must%20not%20be%20exceeded.
What he stated was: it is the maximum towing weight allowed. He didn't make any other claims!
I have 2006 V8 touareg tows my 22 ft . travel trailer. Up west coast mountains better yet the extreme braking works better than previous land cruisers and land Rovers going down. 33 in tires 2 in lift. Bilstein struts.
I have a 2016 v6 gas. I’m about to tow a 1985 Jaguar, which has no keys and is on 4 flats, out of a garage and down a driveway, for pickup, since tow trucks can’t get to the garage. Jaguar weight is 4400 lbs or dead, not rolling weight, but I think I can do this. Wish me luck.
You shouldn’t use a weight distribution hitch with a unibody chassis. It may not break anything but you are going to be applying stress to parts of the unibody that aren’t intended to.
They are NOT a unibody. Has a full on frame!
@@toronadogofast7868 no they don’t vw hasn’t used a on frame construction since the 20th century
@@Euro_Rat Yea you're right about unibody. A lot of people assume it's body on frame. I've heard all kinds of things about using weight distribution hitches or not. Officially VW has stated that it's fine for Touaregs with normal suspension, but for air suspension models it's not recommended. However I do know a handful of air suspension Touaregs disobeying this advice with good success after many years of WD hitch use.
@6:21 You should match indent on dis to the shaft pin. There is an error on the FSM. Also very tricky when inserting it as it can also jump. What i do is pinch the rotor and when inserting it wiggle left to right a tiny bit while looking at the top bolt sloted hole.
I am pulling my cylinder head to send it off. I hate the Ka so much.
Give it to me pls
Holy cow. I would have parted it out by the end of the compression test lol
Love my Touareg!
My s14 rear handbrake sucks it doesn't lock well, what do I do, change the brake discs and get good pads? or tighten the handbrake cable?
If the entire system is working correctly (cables aren't seized and they're adjusted properly. And the handbrake mechanism in the caliper is actuating smoothly and returns properly) then it usually comes down to the pad compound. Economy pads don't lock very well. I've tried many times to make eco pads work and they just don't. Simply switching to a track pad with good cold biting power will do wonders. EBC Yellows are a great example of a track pad with amazing cold bite. Good luck with your car!
@@strandtype Yes thank you!!. The handbrake for normal use works fine but does not lock up (for drifting) at all. Will look into EBC yellow brake pads. Thank you for the info.
What happened to the only time that got broken?
I have one just like this, but I live in West Texas. No amount of facts will convince anyone these are anything other than secretary cars.
i really enjoyed watching dis learned about a few things
Those touaregs are so underrated 🇩🇪🫡 beautiful tanks.

I loved my tregs
I have a 2014 TDI in YYC. I’m amazed at this things capability doing off-road treks and towing ability. Can’t wait to delete it
This layout looks interesting. I'm gonna miss this weekend, are there going to be any more practice days with the layout before comp weekend?
When will you guys release the rules for the sreet class?
Have u changed the transmission oil on this?
Yes transmission fluid has been done once. We purchased the Touareg second-hand at 75,000kms. We did the transmission fluid service at 95,000km with new filter. Fluid looked amazing. It currently has 165,000kms now. Planning to do the next transmission fluid service at 195,000kms. Should hit that by end of 2024. For those interested, we tow approximately 10,000kms per year with either the two car trailer setup or an enclosed 20ft steel car hauler.
@@Cparker8 Sounds like they drained what was in the pan, then refilled. If you are near 100,000 miles, get a complete fluid and filer change. If you do not know your service history (second owner) get it done anyway.
