It looks like you guys started around mud bay area, then headed west to the peninsula. I'm no expert in that area, but i do know south east of Olympia is good hunting, and lewis country fill more tags than any other area. I'm up in the 407 unit, and have a lot of success up here. The woods always makes me work for it though. Good luck, and I'd love to see you guys take a blacktail on camera

Speaking of the spot everyone doesn't think there's any good animals. I took the biggest blacktail i have ever seen out of a spot that nobody thought there was any. Congratulations boys. Absolutely something to be proud of.

I've seen 6 or 7 cougars in the selkirks in pendorrielle county one ran across our drive way in the moddle of winter and drug a huge blood patch with it my dog has treed one but ive never shot one I would had they been aggressive toward me or my dogs but hasn't happened yet

I had a 2 hr stare down with a lion from my treestand a couple years ago while hunting archery on the east side. He came in stalking 2 deer and stopped in the game trail about w or 3 steps from me having a clean shot. Climbing out of the stand at dark was nerve racking to say the least

I just got my first cougar the same way and I thought it was a female also but once I saw how to properly identify it I learned it was a Tom ! Hard to say but when you flipped it over there looked like a small black dot below the anus and that would indicate a male ! Just a fyi if you didn’t know . Great cat tho congrats
