Fabulous car until you have to sell your house to pay the servicing/maintenance bills! I had a Rosso Corsa 1995 Berlinetta (you know, the one with the nice steering wheel) for 12 years. In an unprecedented stroke of luck I bought it for £35K and sold it for £85K, so I made a nice little profit even after factoring in the running costs. My biggest problem with the car was my wife: she loved the car, except for the colour, the noise, the ride comfort and the rather embarrassing attention it got everywhere (I didn't). I sold it to keep her happy (happy wife, happy life) and bought a 21000 mile 2000 model year blue TDF 456GTM slushbox. OMG, she actually liked it! Comfortable electrically adjustable seats, reasonably quiet with a plush ride (for a Ferrari...). Only flogged it 3 years later because a bloke I know had been lusting after one for years and made me an offer I couldn't refuse (he wasn't a mafia chap) I'm now slumming it in a 1995 993 Carrera and a 1986 BMW 635CSi. She seems to like those (phew) so I'll probably keep them for a while. I bought my first Ferrari in 1993 (Rosso 328 GTB) even though I couldn't really afford it and kept it until the bank manager threatened me with financial ruin. I can't believe I paid less than £40K for that car when I see what they're going for now! If we all had 20-20 hindsight we'd all be millionaires. Cheers from a slightly chilly Otford, Kent, UK.

Unfortunately, all petrol cars will soon be banned in the EU and USA! In France there is a new ban on cars with internal combustion engines called SCHLABOUBVE and in Switzerland there is the HESCHLAVVO law! There will soon be a so-called SMORVERBIDEN law in the Scandinavian countries. In Germany, from 2027, the Green Party's new BABVVO and TEBBVO laws will ban all gasoline cars from public roads (exception: commuter trips and state-certified transport)!!!!!

XWX Michelin tires are 70% aspect ratio high profile performance tire with only a V speed rating good up to 149 mph. They were consider lower profile tires. They were the performance sport tire of the 1970s. I wondered why anybody would still have XWX tires on a current car which I saw on a 512 BB at Mecum classic car auction 2024 summer Indianapolis Indiana. I thought they must be old tires, but didn't bother to check the date code. They did still have a V speed rating on them only good up to 149 mph. My 1998 V6 Honda Accord has V speed rated tires, with car having been to 132 mph and likely able to do 140+ mph. It's not a fast speed rating for a high performance sports car. In 1981 People in the Potomac Porsche Club of America were switching out their 911's XWX Michelins for Pirelli P7 low profile tires. I got some used XWX Michelins from a 911 owner. Had them retread by a performance aircraft retreater entering the road course performance tire retreat market or rather making it, for the medium 12,000 mile tread life and put them onto my 914. The retreat XWX tires were great high speed braking tires. At the January 1982 refrigerator bowl at Summit Point at 3°F I was allowed to stay out on the track for 40 laps or more over an hour because nobody else wanted to be. I pushed the car incrementally more and more thinking any moment they were going to call me in, but they didn't. The extreme cold temperatures allowed the 914's stock disk brakes to stay useable "at the limit" modulated race braking use for the whole hour with metallic pads, dropping 65 mph from 105 mph to 40 mph in about 2-1/2 seconds! That calculates out to 38.22 ft/s^2 or 1.2 G. It was like hitting a wall for 2-1/2 seconds. Aircraft retreat tread is designed for braking. This long track season gave me invaluable experience at high G, high speed braking control. My favorite sports car of the late 1970s was the 512 BB. I prefer the looks of it over the later Testarossa. It not a fast accelerating car compared to those of the last 20 years.

This automobile is the most beautiful example of Italian artwork and engineering existent, and it gets driven. And it's left hand drive to boot.

One of the finest production engines ever created! Simply magical and musical. F355 and F50 5 valves per cylinder magic. These are so special and love the channel! If I were in the UK i would definitely pay a visit!

i was offered a dino for 600quid it was as rotten as it could possible opened the door almost fell off put my hand onthe seat almosy fell out the floor lifted the engine bay cover it come off the hinges was terrible must have been in a river or ??? it was a red gts this was in 1985
