The difference between Australia and USA fashion is USA at least has places like NY where there is a melting pot of interesting fashion cultures and the shopping outlets to support them. Australian fashion industry is a wasteland of boring low quality rubbish, and there is no development of the culture and heritage of menswear. Australia is like what if mall brands were the entire country. There are a few places in Melbourne that are trying to move the needle like Corrlection, Urahara, and Informale but it is tough going.

Im not saying your info or history is off or anything,but from what i found out,the harness boot.which is basically the engineer boot with a ring/shackle on the ankle,was originally a calvary boot in the civil war because the said ring would hold the spurs in place and also add support whilst mounted on the saddle.as for the engineer boot,ive read that it was a mililtary boot in ww2,and most bikers were veterans,theyd keep their military issued gear and use their old combat boots for motorcycling. But like i said.this is what i found out,dont know if this is false info or not.

I think the 45's are better,a little bit slimmer. Warehouse has some decent ones if you can catch them on sale. I would like a pair of the buzz deck pants in hbt green. I don't like herringbone twill too much but i might have to make an exception. The oni british twills are nice too.

It's so hypocritical that XBXS is called out for copying other boot designs (which are NOT 100% copies, maybe the closest being the western but others are different enough) because they are really good at making good quality and comfortable boots, yet Jake even says that others are trying to copy Clinch, but as they don't manage to make them so similar then it's fine. One recent example would be Quan making boots similar to RDT. But I guess that's fine. No one is loosing their minds over that. And then, when speaking about copying jeans, a straw man argument. Why is CSF celebrated for copying to insane levels LEVIS, which is a brand that is still alive? Because a brand doesn't make it doesn't mean that it should be alright to copy. So picking and choosing what one thinks is right doesn't make it right.

Well Done, Guys! Appreciate your opinions and humor. Regarding diet and exercise... as an old effer, my take on fitness is to keep moving and the more variation, the better. Challenge the body and challenge the mind. Just like it would be no challenge to work the same algebra problem every day, the body adapts, so I feel the need to mix it up. Similar with nutrition. I follow that old adage.... eat breakfast like a king, lunch like a prince and dinner like a pauper. And, the simplest of all... color my plate. The more colors the better. It is more than vanity... it is about health, wellness and enjoyment of life.

I’m getting ready to hop on a pair of these in the coming week. Its really hard to compare the craftsmanship off Grant stone and others like White’s until you’ve owned both and seen them up close. As one who has, Grant Stone knocks white’s and other PNW brands out of the park for roughly half the price in terms of QC and with similar construction quality.

What's your measurements? I'm 6' 195lbs and the Whitesville's XL shirts fit me almost perfect in the chest but are way to bag on my waist. I have pretty athletic build. I see you wear M's and was thinking about sizing down 1-2 sizes. I can wear S-M in american sizes.

I mostly agree with your comments with regards to Bronson. I think for most, the battle of ethics vs budget is a major factor. I’ve said before how you’re far more discerning than myself. That’s not a negative on you. I have some Bronson gear and it’s excellent for the price. Mind you, some of their pricing makes no sense as you commented on. Great vid though and it’s got me researching more for real heritage pieces.

You can find made in USA heavyweight cotton t-shirts for $15-$20. Seems like the best deal.

Knockout video, so informative and fun. It's great to see so much emphasis being put on ethical manufacturing, thanks so much for that. I've never tried the Whitesville 2-pack (not my fit) but the Whitesville heavyweight loopwheeled pocket is killer and available from Japanese sites like Klaxon and Bears Tokyo for under £40. It is a boxier fit which is right up my street.

Appreciate the comparisons! I think chapter markers and even tighter scripting would go a long way with these long format videos. Especially if you’re feeling the need for a part two following this 44min video.

I would like to hear your take on the heavyweight WonderLooper tee. They, along with Sunspel on the other end of the spectrum in terms of weight, have become real favorites. I prefer to wear mine sized down, not like we're seeing on most models. This fabric is much more a knit than a true tee but it breathes, retains its shape with washing, and is worn close doesn't annoy. It may not suit you but I live in cold weather 8 months a year and the WonderLooper lets me wear a leather jacket and feel comfortable when it's quite cold.

I had nothing white except dress shirts. So i went to get white T-shirts for jeans from Walmart and the first 3 pack was so stretchy it always showed my nipples like rockets! I then went for a single white shirt that was just 100$ cotton and it was an improvement but i think I need a thicker Tee, I want it to be slim and not baggy, but don't want to poke the eyes out of the ladies. I don't want to pay $90 as i know it won't still be white 5 years from now being washed with all my other stuff and just regular wear.

Wearing my new-to-me Whitesville right now actually. Love it. My faves are this, Velva-sheen, Left-Field NYC (side seams though, sorry Jake!), and my Mister Freedom Skivvys. I just got some Unbleached Apparel tees, and I like the wide neck version, plus the price is great.
