Welcome to the GR Motorcycle TH-cam chanel! We are a french canadian father and son duo of vintage motorcycle enthusiasts. Our business is specialized in new and used vintage motorcycle parts but what is really getting us going is restoring and collecting. Here we will show you a glimpse of our life finding, restoring, collecting and riding those bikes from the glory days.
This is the most beautiful 1986 Honda CR250R that we have done so far.
Our company sale motorcycle and atv parts and occasionally we rebuild / restore vintage bikes.

We Restored This 1977 Yamaha RD400
มุมมอง 11K2 ปีที่แล้ว
We worked for a total of 6 month on this bike. The end result is amazing! Its more than 95% original. Decals, paint, tires, pipes are not original. Other than that its all oem down to the hardware. We did keep the oem exhaust but we wanted to make this bike even more fun to ride with some pipes. Its finally done and its a RIPPER! www.ebay.ca/str/motogrcycle grmotorcycle
We Built an All Original 1973 GT185 ! First Start / Drive By
มุมมอง 4.4K2 ปีที่แล้ว
Here is our 1973 GT185 project. First year for the GT185. Only year with the dual leading front brake and the best looking year in my opinion. This is not a restoration. I intend to ride this bike so we built it as an all original good looking rider. Probably only the tires that are not original. www.ebay.ca/str/motogrcycle grmotorcycle

Had one new in 84 awesome performance reliable one bike that I owned and wish I still had
I had a new one in 81. Overstock. Beast. Every highschool boy needs one. Though I rode through the Valley of Death I feared no evil bc I knew I was the fastest MF in the Valley!
Oooo Lectron Carb!
I bought one of these in 1991 for $160. All it needed was a new exhaust. What a rocket of a bike. Unbelievable power. I ended up trading it even up for a truck. Nice to see one again
Dangers
What's with the odd cc's back then??? Lol We had 465, 490cc's.
Awesome! Something about those early 80cc bikes. I know most have the same graphics of their bigger brothers but, they just look more fun somehow.. Nice build guys👌
Beautiful
Une rd bien réglée ne fume pas comme ça, même à froid, et de plus, une restauration soignée est incompatible, dans l’esprit avec des bruits d’échappement inciviques, et pas qu’un peu !
You need to bring that 490 to my house for deserved TLC
Great job! Wish I still had mine.
It's almost like I wouldn't want to get it dirty after this rebuild. It looks so nice!
Could you tell me what the engine number (code) is?
Beautiful
Bike is cherry!! MAGA 2024!!!
Had this bike '76 exactly like this one except I had after market jugs on the top with larger angled fin area's for better heat dissipation. Noting like that 2 stoke sound and that long stream of blue smoke behind it. Just loved it.
💗😻💗Suena hermoso
bought one brand new in a crate in 1982 $395.00
I used to race this Motocross when I was 12 years old back in 1983.
poor bike, lets say to big for it.

Hi mate watching from Sydney Australia,is that bike for sale?
Sorry, all ready sold.
120 octane av gas makes em throw rooster tails 30 ft high.... friend of ours had one...he would be going down a cotton field in between the rows throwing dirt.... always sounded good...RIP Trent Drane, love ya and miss ya Drano
🤩
Beautiful job. My favorite year
Stunning!!! You nailed it! Wow... I hope my '86 CR125R comes out nearly as nice. I'm about halfway there. Cheers from Oregon!
Timing the power valve rack with the vertical shafts that open and close the valves is critical. If your a tooth off you will never get the governor to engage. I struggled with the HPP system greatly before I figured them out. Great bike btw.
Wow, that’s one of the best restorations I’ve seen!! Great job!! what’s the process on making the tank so shiny and what color did you use for the motor?
For the tank, a little sandblasting and s-100. The engine is a high-temperature satin black paint and finished with a high temperature clear. Thanks for the feedback.
Radical like a missle with tires!
i just ordered a intake, will u not be back till jan 6th?
Looks great and correct.🎉
Very nice! I got hold of a RD350, 1975 I am going to restore. Same color. Thanks for the upload :)
Beautiful job! Looks mint! I'm about half way through my '86 CR125 rebuild.
Thanks !
What does this gem cost ????😮
What a beauty!! I had 2 of them
Im curious did you paint the tank yourself? If so did you clear coat over the decals or put them on after? Your bike is gorgeous, nice thorough job!
Painted by a friend and put the original decals after. Thanks !
I'm about to do this to my 77 RD400.. gonna do all the painting myself. My plan for the frame is glass bead blast it to bare metal, etching primer, few coats of black Dupli-color then a few coats of 2K clear to protect it all. Same thing will happen to the tank and panels. Fingers cross it all comes out looking good and is durable.
Powder coating it would last longer and be far superior. Spray cans suck, even if you do a great job, it is still sub-par.
Very nice job! Please post your shop.might be looking for parts in near future.
My first bike was a 1974 RD350, bought new for about $1000-1200, and afterwards I bought a 1976 RD400, which was more refined that the 350 -- smoother and with no plug fouling. I would love to find either model again to restore/rebuild. They were great bikes and loads of fun. Your restored '77 is beautiful and makes me envious (where did you get the pipes?)
Yes they are a lot of fun! I have another 1977 RD400 project for sale with a second basket case bike if you are interested. Pipes are DG. I'm a dealer if you ever need some.
Thanks. The offer is tempting, but I'm quite a bit south of you, in Lexington, Kentucky. The model I would really like to find is an RZ350, but they are rare.
How about doing another video, but this time wear your glasses so you can do it in FOCUS.
Drum brakes with that much power is a worry
The drum brakes are fine, I rode my 1982 RM465 for 8 years and never crashed one time because the brakes did not stop me. Are they as good as disc brakes, of course not, but they work just fine.
She came out sweet Hopefully I can restore mine to look like that one
I have an rx1 too but my dashboard keeps going on and off … and I have to get it started through the cillanoyed… can u please tell wht I got to do to fix it .. thanks very much..
WOW / Gorgeous!!!
Nice job and video! You get bit once with some road rash you will not be riding like that any more
Nice hard kickstarting there dude. Can you not start it with your left foot on the ground too. Needs some seriously hard kicking like this guy here th-cam.com/video/fjlcCoDKAPo/w-d-xo.htmlsi=YqB1DZo9Xxb44W1J to get a 490 started. That's how I start mine and it's a real beast to get started. Sometimes 15 or 20 kicks when it's cold. I always hold the clutch in too when I kick a dirtbike over incase its still in gear. A good habit to get into which many guys have. Feels awesome starting a yz490 or cr500 .
Awesome collection
