Do you know if Area of Effect effects the size of the ignited ground?
I was wondering if the Radiant Grief helmet could be used as a "Righteous Fire". For low levels at the campaign it's ok but the base damage is too low to build around, even more without many ways of scaling it. You can convert ignites to Chaos damage with a unique ring but even then it's still not much to scale there.
yea that helm doesn't have damage you can really work with directly, since it's a static number. The best bet is what people are already doing, which is using it to proc effects that interact with ignite Though, I'm unsure what it's tagged as. If it's a spell, maybe High Demonform could help.
Question herald of thunder for it to proc in poe2 - like what are you doing damage wise to make it work in this video, isn't it all fire damage? Sorry if thats stupid
Magma blast only converts physical to fire. The hammer I'm wielding, Olrovasas, does a lot of lightning and adds flat max lightning after every hit. so my lightning damage is most of my real damage and is not affected by the conversion.
@@TuskDeluxe Oh yeah, I didnt even think about it haha! I went thunder at 14 and then realised I'm using a frostbreath, swapped to ice and started popping the screen so easy to level with - thanks, this build looks so fun I did it on dead eye using most of your passives but swapped a few around, pray for me lol

Molten Blast Invoker is going fine! I got distracted with this leech build so I bounced off it. I'll be going back to it now that I got like 4 div from farming

By the time you play through the cruel acts, your build can be completed and you can really enjoy full effects. Cruel is often easier because of this
I don't think this boots will ever be a thing, for the fact in POE2, you can have more ignite chance with bigger hits, so in theory you don't need to "waste" passive points on ignite chance, in practice you just choose a very hard hitting skill to apply the ignite, warriors use sunder perfect strike and later hammer of god to ignite, and if that skill doesn't have a CD can apply rather quickly would be better, and which skill does exist in the game, explosive concoction, high base flat, easy to scale skill level, has built-in 100% more ignite chance and 100% more magnitude of ignite, you just can't compete with it, atm if you want to use ignite as main damage mapping you just have to go pathfinder (still sucks but better than competitors), if not for the fact ignite wheels are so far away comparing to poison wheels and crit wheels, we'll be seeing a lot more pathfinder using fire concoction. The point is core mechanics in POE2 encourage you to treat ignite like a heavy hitting skills, this "comfortably and constantly igniting enemy" even tho it ignite on default, cannot be good.

You think wearing 2 Olrovasaras builds lightning stacks twice as fast?
@@grassyfuzz I’ll give that a try soon! If two interact at all (I.e., add 500 separately, add twice as fast) then dual wielding them may actually be a dps increase. Thanks for the idea for testing!
UPDATE: The two actually have seperate added lightning. according to the tooltip, main hand and off hand have seperate added lightning. so you can ramp up to 500 twice. This may be good! will need to test it out and see if it's more consistent for mapping or bossing. Thanks for the tip!
@@TuskDeluxe Amazing, I saw if you corrupt them you can get up to 605 added lightning dmg aswell. Curious to see your findings
@@grassyfuzz Update after some testing: Unfortunately it seems the attack speed downside of dual wielding in my current setup outweighs the potential damage you can do here. During mapping, it's much slower and takes much longer to do meaningful damage. Bossing, however, was mixed. Large bosses I found to actually get melted with both equiped, compared to smaller bosses. But in terms of consistency, Onehanded Dance with Death was superior. I think dual Olros have their place in a different build, perhaps utilizing Armour Breaker (Has a Bonus to attack speed instead). You may also want to wait for Duelist to come out, since he'll likely be dual wield focused and there is a large hole in dual wielding nodes on the tree currently. Thanks for the info anyways! I'm happy this info is at least out here to share (and something I can add in an update)
We love spin-to-win visual clarity. Closest thing to a poe 1 build I've played Will be testing whether the weapon I'm using is actually good or if I should craft something more consistent I also started it with a breach this time cause yall looooove gameplay in the first 30 seconds. Hope yall are happy
I'm trying to find some less obvious interactions. I feel PoE2 still lacks so much compared to PoE1. Hopefully we will have more interesting Uniques and Supports soon!

I LOVE SNITCHING. I SHALL TAKE THE TITLE AWAY FROM JUNG I want to continue the character I have for this chayula but this bug is actually super annoying to deal with since you constantly need to "reset" yourself in order to have auras and the flames active. Here's hoping they fix this soon so I can return to my cowboy character

I lvl actually with a bleed conc build... in 9 hours lvl 41:-) clearing while lvling is ullllltea fast... and in 9 hours act 3 normal cleared...

Oh hey I'm running the same thing. Honestly the +2 quiver really sends the build (I lucked out with one early and a 228% widowhail, meaning grabbing the effectiveness cluster set me to +8, and +9 with a +1 necklace). It really scales well with levels since you will have a hard time building base dmg I'd suggest running the adorned late game with quiver effectiveness(I know it's hella expensive, but it's the only way I see the build taking off). I went armor explosions for clearing but I may switch out for a gas arrow set-up and exploit weakness on my concoction. Also mana flask charge mod is a game changer if you can roll it!
I've also been thinking about this as a build. You could use Mahuxotl's Machinations shield for up to 495% more elemental damage and then stack fire damage on your 2h mace. There's also a unique helmet that does 100 fire damage, and a ring that spreads ignites in a 2m radius iirc.

I would totally suggest if you want to level a concoction build, level as lightning then respec later into the choice of your five, not only it's use the same lightning arrow/rod tree (or gas arrow exposion), lightning concoction does a shit ton of damage more than the other four thru campaign, haven't check dps for a while, last time I can remember checking it's level 23 concoction gem tooltip over 10k, 4 link = 3 support which is LMP added lightning and that support give you less shock change but 75% inc magnitude of shock, and I can shock over 55% easily within two throws, from level 41 on bosses are much less threatening than act 3 mobs stunned shocked and died, and It's all coming from widowhail with a +2 damage with bow quiver. I think, in end game, ice concoction is the best, at higher level all of these would do great damage, ice can freeze it's safer, herald of ice proc feels good, and since it has the highest base crit chance, if you spec out of those inc dmg mods and go a lot of crit nodes instead, with widowhail and a high crit change +2 quiver, you can literally go full crit 100% (ofc with a eye of winter setup), which I'm not sure it's possible with other skills. Also I'm thinking with lightning concoction, I would later go take a weapon swap using voltaic grenade crossbow for electrocution to start the fight, if it goes to my vision it's great, you just skip the fight most of the time
Sad that there is no real phys aura supp in game rn. Best I can think of is blasphemy with hatred.

U dont happen to also have tested cast on ignite recently ? I have 3 different ignite spells but it does not go up in %
Curious to see a further update to this video, because I tinkered with bleeding concoction both pre and post buff and it was quite bad both due to location on the tree which is too far from bleed nodes as well as every other concoction (especially poison) out-classing bleeding concoction in any parameter. I'd like to be wrong, but 15% non-aggravated and 45% aggravated base damage scaling is just so bad when you compare it to on-hit builds which have a plethora of debuffs/utility options. And to all of that the comparison becomes even more depressing when you realise that poison is 20% (with same damage numbers as bleeding conc) up to 8 stacks which is 160% while absolutely dominating in clear to to herald of plague or contagious contamination, which in combination with Low Tolerance node on the tree makes it the prime dot build. Same for ignite, where you have both better supports (such as prolif and frostfire) AND curses/exposures exist. Don't get me wrong, I love bleed, but its just not looking good... Decent video though.
Interesting you found it bad after the buff, I have been 1-3 bleeding most bosses through the acts. Also imo the bleed nodes are pretty close to the ranger start, travelling into merc isn’t that bad. I do agree though, bconc is probably the worst of the 5 and bleeding in general doesn’t have the level of support as other dmg types. You also have to remember mobs don’t have resistance to bleed so the curse/exposure only matters if you are putting them into negatives which I assume isn’t too hard, but the difference isn’t as bad as you think.
Help me understand this... If now we're basically scaling hit damage for bleed, and there being almost no dot multi points in the tree that would affect bleed damage without increasing the hit portion...isn't it always better to just cast the bleed applying skill as fast as possible and forget about the bleed at all? Isn't it better to just play hit 100% of the time over bleed? The dot portion will never be 100% of the hit, scaling attack speed and using the skill multiple times instead of once will result in more damage considering you have the same uptime.
Its too inneficient scaling, this same build would be twice as powerful just getting attack speed and going full hit and ignoring the entire bleed portion of it and just treating it as an "added bonus"
I mean only a couple of the ailment / bleed nodes affect the hit? And only a little bit anyway. Going full into bleed has a few benefits, you don't need to be constantly attacking to do close to max dps, enemy armour doesn't matter, you get to play with dmg/crit on enemy full life a bit more efficiently, and its easier to sustain flask charges, but thats not an issue anymore. But you are probably right, going full into hit is probably better dps and most likely easier to put together, but at that point just go one of the ele flasks for a better secondary effect. It seems like PoE2 is trying to treat ailments as only secondary affects to enable other things, to get the most dps from them you scale base damage and crit then some magnitude, at that point you are a crit hit build.. so i dont really know what they are trying to do with them
@@TadFiish Yeah, like in PoE 1 you could scale the dot portion of the *bleeding hit* up to dot cap. In PoE 2 with the current setup the dot portion will never outscale the hit itself, so it makes no sense to play around it, unless you want to play a worse version of the skill for some reason.
Question: isn’t bleed based on the premitigated damage. Does armour break do anything?
The armour break is for the support gem "exploit weakness" which gives 50% more when the armour is broken. not needed while mapping definitely, but for a boss or rare, it's a nice boost for a massive bleed

Cool video! Im currently almost to maps with my bconc build and figured out some tech along the way. Reduced flask charges used on your belt and from the Warding Potions node affects the conc usage! With 33% you get it down to 2 per use which makes sustaining a breeze, but you don't really need it with the recent changes imo. 300% increased quiver bonus is pretty important as you then get +8 from your quiver, you can corrupt widowhail for over 250%, theres some on the tree, and jewels can roll it. Then +3 from your amulet bring it up to +11, pretty crazy. Also getting a dex roll on your quiver solves it basically, so you can put all your points into str for more life, or int for other requirements. I don't think armour break actually does anything for bleeds, sure it increases your hit dam slightly but doesn't scale the bleed, you can check this in the "Bleeding" tooltip in game: "but any such modifiers that specifically apply to Hit damage (such as Armour Break) do not affect Bleeding damage." But its still good for Exploit Weakness support. Energy shield is annoying. If you don't have huge hits and just have huge bleeds, you take forever to get through some mobs energy shield. I have opted to go for some crit/crit dam on enemy full life shenanigans. So an energy shield mob get destroyed since they are on full life until you break their energy shield and they can be bled. Its also fun one shotting bosses. Maligaros gloves are currently 2 divine as well, so this gets around that need. I use temp chains plus duration on jewels / tree so hopefully things just take one bleed and they die. Super Critical is currently like 450 ex to anoint haha, so you might be better off just pathing over to it if you go crit. EDIT: Also Infernal cry, second wind and raging cry gets you to full rage on bosses. So i just pop two infernal crys at the start for a 30% more dmg buff for my first throw Thanks for the vid, there is next to no info on Bleeding Concoction out there yet!

Yea gear is next on my list, while I'm on holiday I'll be tweaking gear and getting those juicy +3 amulets also I 100% agree with the energy shield is annoying comment, I may actually add the critical bonus to full health enemy gem to help with that. and woops on supercritical lmao. I'll think about whether crit is the direction right now, because while it's obvious it's also extremely expensive and passive intensive. I'll be testing gems and gear out.
@@TuskDeluxe Yeah im going with crit only because I was before the patch when we needed absolutely any damage possible haha. With the changes its most likely not needed, just get more proj/phys base dmg scaling and you are probably fine, but im too deep now...
How do you increase the quality of the concoction skills?
You cant, unless they add some kind of item that gives your skills quality like gemling legionnaire has.
Maligaro's says "is" meaning you cannot downscale or upscale the value. You would not get above 300% with them
Yea I'm aware. It's good because it means we don't need to worry about crit bonus on the tree, since bleed concoction has such a low crit chance and that is what we need to *potentially* work on if we go crit
I'm wondering if poisonous concoction + corpsewade would be viable. seems like it would be and there are a good amount of poison nodes for pathfinder/ranger

@unluckybrain I'll make a mobilytics because I took some skill points away since I got my second ascension and the new buff. But shattering definitely is the best because you freeze everything so nothing can touch you

What do you think about combining buffed shield skills for with bleeding conc? Resonating shield breaks armour by default
I don’t know if that’s worth losing the skill levels unless shields can also roll with projectile skill levels
@@adamkocz4034 definitely a little unnecessary since our gas arrow can break armour just fine, and this skill lives and breathes +projectile level
@@TuskDeluxe i just thought, what if i combine explosive conc with gas arrow? does it even make sense? gas arrow should explode when ignited by conc and provide boost to clear speed while conc is igniting big rares. Edit. i just made random tree, 57% fire pen, incresed exposure, some chance to ignite and magnitude of ailments, 6 jewel slots. With radiant grief u can utilize "increased damage with hits against burning/ingited enemies" . on paper it looks great
Cool idea. I'm planning to go pconc with the concoction buffs. Can't wait for pob2 so we can know the difference/gap between bleed and poison.
i would not invest in to critical. the amount of investiment you need to make that work is astronomical it is not event worft
there is that inevitabler critical support gem, that might work well enough since you only need to aggrevate the bleeds against tough rares and bosses so the "recharge" might not be too bad and you need 0 investment in crit

There is an auro to get flask charges back but it might be too difficult due the int it needs
Oh cool i am actually thinking of making a bleed concoction build. So many possible bleed builds but warrior and merc cant really use them well.
I think this might be the first time I'm early to a skill build that may be a little overtuned lmao Early Concept build! Only Tier 1 right now cause I just finished the campaign. will update at endgame, But I'm on Vacation touching snow so I won't be posting a build update every other day like a "True PoE-Tuber" would probably do. Have you tried using blackflame amethyst ring? was thinking if it would help or work with the boots.
Not yet but that was on my mind! It would be hard though, as you'd need to scale both ignite magnitude and chaos damage specifically. Personally, if you were to go that direction, I would try life stacking witch instead, give there's stuff like wither and curses on her kit, as well as her side having better access to both ignite magnitude and chaos damage.
@@TuskDeluxe yeah i agree, im still theory building a bit and adding/removing stuff, having on list diff things like kaoms heart/Ingenuity and a bit more. Im really sad ignite is this bad in poe2 since i love ignite builds big poe1 addict :D
If you use correct supports, you can like quadruple damage from a skill. Tht's why people use ignite "Hammer of the gods" to oneshoot every boss.
Birth of Fury does not grant a skill
All ailments except maybe poison are currently god awful in this game. Not sure how the boots work, but ignite does 20% of the damage (in this case it may be taking your 10% life as a base hit) of the hit over 8 seconds. So by default it only does 80% of the original "hit" but spread over 4 seconds.... it is mind bendingly fucking garbage. Now you have magnitude to scale this but even with that... Idk the balance in this game is a wierd spot. They seemingly want you to do "combos" skills with each other but then you have shit like rangers lightning kit 1shotting bosses, or Crossbowman's lightning chain arrow or whatever its called, being godlike, and then you gather like INSANE scaling from various forms for sometihng like ignite and it barely fucking tickles the monsters.
Yea the current state of damaging ailments really sucks. Like I said the video, magnitude on the tree should be increased significantly so that it can be its own playstyle. Also maybe have different ignite sources add to an ignite, to encourage the stacking playstyle
I think it’s dependant on skill tbh, using perfect strike with 370% damage scaling with no ignite mods does around 15k ignite damage per second for me
I am trying a gemling with only STR stack and I am using a uniq staff that gains 10% weapon dmg per 5 Str. It is very tanky and has dmg at the same time as I can stack both from one stat. I was looking for some one testing skills. Thanks a lot.
This was mostly a project to see if I could edit large streams, Tiring, but possible! With less of a "deadline" for release I will definitely be editing up streams more.
