Kruger - No Place Like it
United States
เข้าร่วมเมื่อ 9 เม.ย. 2023
The Kruger National Park is a unique national wildlife park with a vast array of landscapes and a spectacular variety of African wildlife. For some of us, Kruger 'gets in your blood', the diversity of the bush, the smell of Africa in the morning, the sounds of the spectacular and multiple species of bird life and the peace and tranquility of an African sunset. Around every corner and behind every bush, amongst every rock formation and in every body of water, Africa hides a secret which she reveals to whomever she will and whenever she deems to allow you to share in its special wonder. With this channel we have tried to capture some of that elusive African splendor to share with you our love and fascination for the bush and its wildlife - to share with you, Kruger, for there is no place on earth like it!
Kgalagadi Transfrontier Park
After 40 years of visiting the Kruger National Park, we finally made it to the Kgalagadi Transnational Park, and what a joy! The drive up the west coast of the Cape was awesome; the mountains, the different terrain and eventually the red dunes of the Kalahari all were breathtaking. The Park itself was so different from anything we had experienced up until now, and there were a few things which really surprised me: Firstly the amount of vegetation in the 'desert'; secondly the diversity of animals and birds, and finally the cold - oh it was cold at night and in the early mornings! But I loved it, it was really a fantastic trip. Perhaps too short as I would have liked to have spent a few days exploring the Botswana side of the park, but maybe next time.
A great trip - I hope you enjoy watching this video.

Beautiful Birds of the Kruger National Park - Episode 1
มุมมอง 1937 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
All too often we spend our time rushing around looking for lions or searching out the 'big five' and we miss some of the most beautiful sights that the Kruger National Park has to offer. There are 21 species of antelope in the park and another 126 species of other mammals; there are 114 species of reptiles. However, there are 508 species of birds, large and small, plain and beautifully colored,...
A most vicious Zebra fight
มุมมอง 2179 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
We left Sirheni as soon as the gates opened and headed south on the H1-7 towards Shingwedzi. We had not gone far when we came across a cheetah which had just killed an impala next to the road. She called her cubs, and they began to devour the animal, not five meters from our vehicle. What an awesome sighting. After watching them for about three hours we drove to Shingwedzi for a quick cappuccin...
Pafuri Gate - Kruger's Northern most outpost
มุมมอง 99614 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
After driving the entire length (430km) of the H1, from Pretpriuskop to the extreme north of the Kruger National Park, we eventually arrived at the northern most outpost of the park, the Pafuri gate. Our quest to drive every road, visit every bushveld camp, see every viewpoint, every water hole and dam and visit every restaurant and other place of interest in the Kruger Park, took us a whopping...
Augrabies Falls and the Breathtaking Orange River Canyon Augrabies Falls National Park
มุมมอง 55619 ชั่วโมงที่ผ่านมา
We have always wanted to visit the Augrabies Falls and so this year we decided to drive up the west coast and then visit some of the quaint little towns of the North-West Cape before finally making our way to the Augrabies Falls National Park. The journey was awesome, but the falls were even better - the beauty and splendor of these falls and of the Orange River Canyon defied all my expectation...
Just watch the reactions of these first-time visitors to Kruger
มุมมอง 4.9K14 วันที่ผ่านมา
Watching the faces and the reactions of first-time visitors to the Kruger National Park is probably one of the most rewarding and the fulfilling things a veteran visitor to the park can indulge in. Those initial emotions and the joy of experiencing the wonders of Kruger for the first time, come flooding back as you watch their faces when they see their first elephant, or encounter their first l...
Talamati Bush Camp
มุมมอง 9K28 วันที่ผ่านมา
Is this the best Bushveld Camp in the Kruger National Park? We'll leave that up to you to decide after you have watched this awesome video. On the banks of the N'waswitsontso River and shaded by giant Jackalberry trees, it is the perfect camp to sit back and relax and enjoy the wealth of wildlife that Kruger has to offer. We spent an entire day in the camp and probably saw more game than we had...
Bateleur Bushveld Camp - Part 2
มุมมอง 1.5Kหลายเดือนก่อน
Visitors to Bateleur Bushveld Camp in the northern Kruger National Park, have few options outside of the immediate vicinity of the camp itself. This, however, is no great negative for the camp and surrounding areas provide plenty of opportunity for premium game viewing. The game hide, which overlooks a man-made water hole is the gem of the bush camp, providing some of the best elephant sighting...
Bateleur Bush Camp
มุมมอง 12Kหลายเดือนก่อน
If you enjoy the bush and a break from the crowds, Bateleur is the bushveld camp for you. It is a long and rough road to get there (easier from the Red Rocks road) but once you are there you don't have to leave the area. There is an awesome hide which overlooks a water hole (though the pump was not working the last time we went there) and there are two really nice dams you can visit - Rooibosra...

Nestled in the extreme north of the Kruger National Park is the little visited Pafuri Border Camp. Near the confluence of the Luvuvhu and the Limpopo rivers and the beautiful Pafuri picnic site, the camp, which only has three houses, welcomes the visitor to a unique and unparalleled birding experience. Points of interest in the area are the Tulamela Heritage site, the Crooks Corner view point a...

Tulamela Heritage Site is one of four similar archeological sites located in the north of South Africa and in Zimbabwe: the others are Makahane, Mapungubwe and Great Zimbabwe. You will take an awesome bush-walk to get to the site which is situated on the top of a koppie (hill; knoll) from which you will be able to observe the "valley of the giants" - an awe-inspiring array of Baobabs which domi...
The Most Incredible thing about Punda Maria Rest Camp
มุมมอง 4.6K3 หลายเดือนก่อน
One of the greatest features of the Punda Maria Rest Camp is the absolutely awesome bird hide and waterhole right next to the caravan park. You can sit in the hide or simply stand by the fence and observe the variety of wildlife that comes to drink there. While we had a braai next to the fence one evening we were blessed with a number of nighttime visitors, most memorable of which were two herd...
An incredible afternoon at Malopenyana water hole
มุมมอง 5983 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sometimes in the Kruger everything just comes together to make the perfect viewing experience. We had this privilege one afternoon on our way to Letaba Rest Camp. There was a pair of lions mating on the one side of the road and while we were watching a large herd of elephant came running down from the main road to the watering point, little ones running as fast as their little legs could carry ...

A close up and personal with one of the ten rarest antelope in the Kruger National Park - the Sharpe's Grysbok. Sirheni has always been about exotic antelope and this time it was no different! Eland, a Sharpe's Grysbok and then Roan Antelope, all sighted during this year's visit to Sirheni. Then, a close encounter with a breeding herd of elephant, a beautiful Secretary Bird in a tree and the bi...
Why I love this Jewel of the North - Sirheni Bush Camp
มุมมอง 3.9K4 หลายเดือนก่อน
Sirheni Bushveld Camp id truly the jewel of the northern Kruger National Park. I never visit Kruger without staying at Sirheni and the reason: It is situated in the shade of a tall Mopani forest, on the banks of the Mphongolo River, far from the hustle and bustle of the larger rest camps and in the peace and tranquility of the African bush. From Sirheni you have access to the renowned S56, Baba...

Nice to see you people in the Kalahari! That brings back memories. Did you also see hundreds of foxes and jackals? We saw them almost around every corner! Even outside the Park. Hope you get lucky with some lions in the next episode! :)
Yes, we had a great lion sighting on the way to Mata Mata - see next week's video. Thanks again for watching.
Wow Gail and Stewart, after Kruger this is my second favourite place on earth, was there around 15 years ago and loved it, look out for the many small daytime mammals like elephant shrew, three striped mice and whistling rats. Hope you got to spot the elusive Brown Hyena. Look forward to the next ep !!! 🤠😎
Is the spelling not 'Kgalagadi'?
Yes it is - corrected it already. Thanks!
What an amazing video. Thank you so much for sharing
You are most welcome. Thank you for watching.
When I left the park through Malelane gate recently after being in the Kruger for 5 weeks I cried, and not ashamed to say so. Epic journey guys, safe travels home !!! Regards...Andy
Thanks for watching our journey, Andy. Lots more to come - "Kruger's best five"; Beautiful birds of the Kruger National Park; and "Back in Kruger".
Thank you for the considerable effort it must have taken to make this compilation with the calls , look forward to the next one . Meanwhile will watch again as it’s a lot to take in for a 👵🏼💚⭐️
Yes, it is a lot, but the birds of Kruger are beautiful and warrant the recognition. Thanks for watching.
I enjoyed your trip sooo much...thanks❤
Thank you for enjoying it with us.

Land of contrasts , dry yet roaring with water cascading down rocky gorges , animals apparently thriving on sparse thorny vegetation , what a country we are blessed with 👍🇿🇦💚thanks for sharing it’s beauty

A wonderful, immersive video❤ We are from Australia. What is the best way to book?
www.sanparks.org and click on "Book your trip" Thanks for watching
Great sightings. I just love hearing the foreign visitors loving the Kruger and South Africa 🇿🇦
Another beautiful drive. Thank you for sharing
Glad you enjoyed it. Thanks for watching.
Great sightings. Always enjoy first timers, they are so in awe.
I am just as in awe when I enter the park now, as I was forty years ago during my first visit. There's no place like it!
@@noplacelikekruger Indeed. Our first visit (from Canada) was 2016. In March will be our 6th time.
Kruger sure pulled out all the stops for the American visitors 🤗🥰👍
Yes it surely did. They had a great time. Thanks for watching.
We have an absolute gem right on our doorstep. The Kruger and all our parks are simply magnificent.
Oh yes they are. Our next videos show off the Augrabies Falls National Park and the Kalagadi Transfrontier Park. Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
@noplacelikekruger can't wait. I'm a regular watcher. The KTP is simply stupendous in its difference and beauty.
Thanks - much appreciated@@michaelflinn7784
Thanks guys for many interesting videos. I've been binge-ing this morning on your impressions of Kruger and the various camps. Your siting of the raptors on the "rabbit" kill was exceptional and to get the hyena arrive and take it away was astonishing. I'm not new to the park - been visiting regularly since '92 when I needed to broaden my horizons, but I've always camped for 4-5 weeks at a time. Your info on the bush camps was very informative as I'd heard only good reports of them over the years. They certainly appear to be superbly tucked away from the crowds and traffic jams which would suit me just fine. I do mainly bird photography and other subjects if they appear. I'm planning to spend a year in the park from about March next year but will probably have to been camping most of the time - and maybe spoil myself in a bush camp every so often. Do you know if it's possible to book for say two months, at say Lower Sabie, then keep extending the trip month after month while still there? It would be most beneficial to assess the conditions first hand and move to the areas where photography would be best at the time. Example was 2014 when half the eastern half of Kruger was burnt! Thanks again for your informative footage 👍👍
Thank you so much. What a special camp. It is like Tzendze with Champagne. I appreciate the tree naming as well.
Thank you. Hoping your channel grows. So beautiful.
Thank you. Please feel free to share our videos on your social media and encourage your friends to subscribe - this really helps.
I think the camp is beautiful and advantageous in a sense that all sorts of animals come to the river to drink water and as a result you don't really have to go out for game drive. It is so beautiful. Thank you for your well edited video. I will definitely be coming. Thank you so much.
Yes, it is a beautiful Bush Camp. Thanks for your comment
You are welcome, thanks for watching
Amazing amount of wildlife without driving. Looks great.
Yes, it is an amazing bush camp - well worth the visit
Thank you for a great informative video including a tour of the accommodation. Also love that you included your brain etc which really makes one "lus" to go there now!!! We've always shied away from booking the bush camps because of the lack of air-conditioning and we are usually there during the HOT months.
The bush camps offer you a little bit of the "wild" and a completely different experience from the main rest camps. Thanks for watching.
Wow, what a lovely camp, will definitely have to add to my list for a next visit. Stewart's horizontal game viewing position seems spot on to me.
Sometimes the horizontal method of viewing is necessary...!
Wonderful roan sighting! You were very lucky! ("Blessed" is a better word)
Talamati is very impressive! I definitely want to go there next time. I thought one might find sable antelope in the area?
We have seen sable antelope on the road to Talamati so they are in the area - depends on the time of year. Thanks for watching.
@noplacelikekruger yes indeed, they seem to move around with the seasons...for example, I know that Mala Mala sometimes see sable antelope drink from the Sand river during the driest winter months, like August. And during summer they're more into Kruger further east.
Aaah been waiting for this one! Great video and tour of my very favorite Kruger camp. It’s really in a perfect area between the dry river and the water hole. Thanks so much for posting this one, love to see you all do one of these for every Bushveld camp. 🤞👍👍
Well, perhaps we will meet up in Kruger at sometime. We are planning to be there for an extended visit in July-September next year. Thanks again for watching.
@@noplacelikekruger Who knows! We'll be in Mana Pools & Mashatu next July but tentatively planning on heading back to Kruger in June, 2026 🤞
Look forward to seeing you in the park sometime.
Beautiful do they have a shop there?
No sorry no shops or restaurants in any bush camps.
@@teresagillmer9464 a Woolies food and a gym. 😜
Looks like a great spot, didn't make it to this camp when in the Kruger in August, will put it on my list for next time, great episode guys !!!! 🤠😎
Thanks for the comment and thanks for watching.
Now that was a fabulous visit , great chilling out at the camp with no shortage of game to watch 👍👏🫶🙏
Yes, it was every bit as good and enjoyable as the video shows. Thanks for watching.
It's on my bucket list. Thanks 😊
Yep, good idea! Thanks for watching.
Love the video but please change the music!!!
Thanks for watching
Loved the video! Definitely have to try Bateleur Bushveld Camp one time. Talamati is our favorite but Bateleur might be a new favorite afterwards.
Yes Talamati is great - see our next video - but Bateleur is really worth visiting.
Great hyena footage!! You two never disappoint 😊
Thanks for the comment
You seem to catch the most amazing sights , that Hyena crunching on that bone was something else , I have read about their powerful jaws , well there’s the proof . Nothing goes to waste in nature , she can teach us a thing or two 😳
Thought that it might be a bit gross for the video but it really shows nature at its harshest. Thanks for watching!
Thank you for this beautiful video, I enjoyed it thoroughly
Glad you enjoyed it - next time on Kruger no Place Like it - Talamati Bushveld Camp
loved it
Thanks Bill. Next video - Talamati Bushveld Camp
Can’t wait she part 2 to come out at midnight!!
Wow, what an amazing video ❤
Thanks - Glad you enjoyed it. Next video is Talamati Bush Camp.
I was there in late August 2023. Loved it! I remember lots of squirrels, dwarf mongooses, crested barbets, hornbills, arrow-marked babblers and kurrichane thrushes, as well as hippos and elephants, of course, not to forget the fish eagles!
Oom speaking of the braai facilities are the lions and the hyenas invited? Perhaps they can even bring their own meat😂😂😂.
Kruger Park Is the most beautiful park in the world.
Yes it is. Thanks for watching
What a pity the most important thing was missing from this video, showing your viewers the inside of the accommodation.
Sorry about that - we will include it in our series Kruger's Best Five
Great place, great video but ... when getting out of your vehicle on bridges, one is supposed to stay between the yellow lines painted on the tar. It's not there for nothing. So please set the example to others when posting videos like this which I do enjoy. Let's do the right thing.
This is a great video!! Thank you
Thanks for the comment
Beautiful camp and 3 giraffe 🦒 are making a nice welcome wow watching from Limpopo province (Tzaneen)
Thank you so much for watching,
I did t know this was available at the Kruger! Will definitely be visiting on my. Ext trip there. Thank you for the awesome video
Hi hi, guys you are doing very nice videos. Love all of them more especially the one chasing by elephant, be safe I the bush and make more videos thanks
Thank you for watching and for the comment.
If it was my investment I'd bring in a powerful leaf blower, strimmer, riding mower, loppers, lighting and path borders, bourgonvelia galore if it'll grow, interior of the chalets has dead wall space, the checkered tile is very busy for the intention of relaxation. Good spot, not far from being a great spot. Good luck!
Loved this video Oupie❤
Awesome. We have spent many hours in that bird hide (and at Rooibosrand and Silver Vis).
It's a great place. Next video I take you to the dams. We had some great sightings at Rooibosrand.
