Lovely wrap up of the dams Gail and Stewart, I too like Sunset Dam, partly because of the low angles you can get for photography, it's busy, but I can spend all day there. Lake Panic is always a favourite. Mpondo I go to frequently for time-lapse videos, there's always something coming in to drink. Byamiti weir would be the best in the park for low angle as you can get right to water level, got some great shots of the Painted Snipe there a couple of months ago. Every dam and waterhole has something unique...great series !!! Regards....Andy
Thanks again Andy. There are also two great dams near Bateleur Bushveld Camps.

Thank you Gail and Stewart for taking us with you on your Kruger trips. It is second best to going ourselves. ;-) I would go with Rooibosrant Dam. Only accessible to guests of Bateleur bush camp. The solitude and magnitude of that dam in combination with all the game that come and go.... Amazing.
Thanks for your suggestions and would like to also suggest the following which I believe better options than Pioneer - Malunzans on the S142 off the Shongolo loop not too far from Mopani / Tzenze. Bit out the way and few tourists but great sightings of game and birds. The dam at Shipandani Hide also on the S142 / Shongolo loop but closer to Mopani. Always some big crocs and hippo and birds. Orpen Dam on the S32 loop from Tshokwane. Its far from any camps but grate view. Look forward to your next
There are a lot of others like Rooibosrand and Silvervis near Bateleur - don't think I have visited Klopperfontein though...oh, and Orpen Dam, of course...

Yes, we spent half a day there just watching the game come and go. An awesome place.
I love Jones dam. Always have great sightings there. Have seen sable there on my last two visits in July and Sept 24
Awesome. We'll check it out in July.
We're making notes!!
More on the way...hope this helps. Thanks again for watching.

Thanks for the comment. I've only visited it once - they close the road when it rains.
No Klopperfontein?
