Very helpful.. thank you!
Glad you found it helpful!
I haven’t had surgery but the Ct arthrogram shows I have a superior/posterior labral tear. Reaching my arm up an out hurts the bicep area. Would that help
It may help- Your best bet would be to work with a Physical Therapist to find out exactly how to best help you and your shoulder. We offer both in person and virtual visits.
Yes. That muscle is sooo tight and my posture is crap because of that. I'm a hairdresser so I stand on the side of my client with my tools and like, lean, over, sidebend, over the client. Work everyday in that position so I guess I need to do a workout, train the muscles to be strong? Not just stretch. My question? Which muscles to train? The opposite? What are the opposite muscles to QL? Or am I wrong? Is stretching enough? Good video! Finally understand, after YEARS of "a little side pain".
Glad it was helpful! Often our tight muscles are also weak- so utilizing both stretching and strengthening techniques will be helpful. One of the muscles "opposite" to the QL is the psoas.. another one that often contributes to back and/or hip pain. Feel free to email me directly if you have any other questions: catpowell@powerfulpt.com
I learned a lot from the video, thanks for sharing

Like a deadlift?
Happy Birthday!!!!
Thanks!!
CONGRATULATIONS
Thank you!!
I like to use a hard hair brush, stand tall against a wall and stick the brush where I feel it's tight. It's actually worked to relief some of my back tightness, upper and lower. To stretch the muscle, I stand tall and do some side bends and bend overs.
Love using items you already have at home!
I will try that with my 120cm ball ;)
Can you also make a video where you explain how to let the air out of the exercise ball and show it on the ball and flatten it while sitting please?
Here's a video showing how to deflate it- th-cam.com/video/CV-DgSIaAuw/w-d-xo.html Happy New Year!
Nice video. I have an exercise ball which is 120cm big. Do you know any good exercises for such a huge ball? Thank you in regards.
Hi Peter, Thank you! Whenever doing exercises on a physioball you always want to keep safety in mind. If you're unable to control the movements, creating additional stability with the ball will help- so the exercises will be based off of your capabilities and safety. Usually people over 6 feet tall use ~65-85 cm physioballs which allows for a 90 deg. angle at the hips and knees when sitting on the ball. You could try deflating the ball for additional stability or perform exercises that you're lying on the ground- like bridging.
@@powerfulphysicaltherapy thank you already for your answer. I appreciate it a lot. Do you have any social media? Then I could send you a picture of the ball :)
