I'm a crazy humored guy who's great at Fromsoft games, art, Minecraft, poetry, math, and general deductive skills/observational skills. In turn it puzzles me a lot of the time when people playing things don't "look up" for example.
I'm also a dork who loves talking lore in games I play the heck out of and piece together the mysteries everyone wonders. If you like talking lore also, feel free to jump in with things you find and details you found interesting. I'd love the discussion
I'm a bit of an artistic sort who loves creative outlets in gaming as well as difficulty in games. Part of my philosophy is that most things are more approachable by the right light, and I want to uncover it better for more people in games considered difficult to aspects. I started my Fromsoft journey at Armored Core 2 and been a loyal fan ever since.

Not Useful Details or On Purpose? - Elden Ring Lore and Discussion
Lost makes pretty fun content, usually around Invasions, but overall, I think he's worth checking out if you haven't.
Lost's channel: www.youtube.com/@PerfectlyLostMySanity
Lost's video: th-cam.com/video/l_Gj0gNiK58/w-d-xo.html&pp=ygUObG9zdCBteSBzYW5pdHk%3D
Mentioned lore video on the overall Shattering War: th-cam.com/video/N2ihIwmEyNI/w-d-xo.html
This took longer to get going than I wanted it to due to the seasonal junk, work, and among other things I have other subjects in mind I could make further discussion on for other "pointless"/"useless" details to go on about, but mind you I have in general just a lot I like to draw more attention to, so if I want to talk about it, I should weight out how much it actually matters and how accurate that is. Just as true that the silent details can tell a lot of things, just as true they can be misinterpreted. In Castle Morne I noted the tables had the butchering knife used by the Tarnished Eater, and at first I thought that was limited to the back portion going down and thought maybe it meant that portion was like the torture zone of nightmares people didn't want to be taken down to, but under further inspection I noticed such tables on top of the walls up top.
There is likely to be a 2nd part on this topic just because I like just going over little niche stuff that doesn't fit into much other bigger topics of interest for me atm. 2nd part won't have disclaimer/note crud that I like to establish for my own terms of understanding the lore when it comes to openness and potential. BTW, I'm very apparently not accustomed to talking in a presenting manner for lengthy periods of time. This means future stuff should be a bit better. In part 2, I will just kinda keep going. One of the struggles of this overall edit format I'm now approached with is the process of assorting relative footage. It won't be future proofed yet for a bit of time due to physical hardware space limitations, but it'll be figured out better in the future. I actually had to make this video like three times because the first time I was trying a more scriptless facts drop kind of video, only to realize I didn't capture any audio because of the changes to Nvidia's Gefore Experience recording stuff needing to be readjusted. Then 2nd times I sorta scrapped to focus more on pace and flow that a script would better allow without nearly as many goofy cuts to topics with the best delivery of a subject.
BTW, I had only just figured out you can go that way in Castle Morne to skip the rats. FML.
What are some odd details you've always wondered about?

Elden Ring Nightreign Trailer - Breakdown and Speculation

Help! I'm right 2 years ago and it hurts! I will never emotionally recover. Long story short I seen signs early game and pointed out to people and heard EVERY EXCUSE even though I could point out the supposed Fromsoft development cycle according to Miyazaki's directing. For context, Miyazaki has before mentioned the order of the development of most of his projects. Majority being gameplay first...

I've really been getting into the idea lately of more scripted videos to stay more on topic better and shoot jumping ahead to a new topic before an old one too soon. Having lots of lore discussion with people, I realized it's a little too easy to get lost in another topic all together in the stead of the original topic you were meaning to go on about. As a result of this tempting ease of jumpin...

Lots of little details have been flying under the radar, but at the same time lots of details have been getting brought up by a colorful variety of people in the Elden Ring lore hunting community. It's taken a bit of time for some of it to come more into a usable form for myself with less contradictions, but at the same time a fair portion of early speculations had a fair foundation to work wit...
Worse Than Malenia - Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree - First Playthrough Part 15

Should be noted that this is pre-patches. By far the most annoying boss I've ever dealt with and that's considering I considered Malenia a pretty annoying boss. The windows for doing work are nearly non existent and that's even with faster weapons while trying to dodge. The boss is also not lenient to any form of dodging in phase 2 to the point that I'm certain it's a boss with blocking in mind...

Honestly, I had more fun here than the big boss after. Since before finding Metyr, I knew who the final boss was due to people posting videos already telling the boss's name such as music reactions on TH-cam without a particular order. The next video will be the last of the playthrough and took me roughly a week, but I kept checking for secrets after.

Something I didn't piece together until uploading this is that the faith requirement of Messmer's boss stuff is proof that it's straight Blasphemous oriented. On paper the orientation for the arts could also be of Int, but that's keeping in mind of the topic as a Gelmir art to sorcery with use from a staff. With the fact that there IS sorcery to it and Messmer was closely tied to Rellana of Car...

This one's a lot of catching up stuff, so I might be going through certain areas a bit faster in this video. There isn't actually too much to see tbh, so consider what's shown to be the more detailed important bits and less me just wasting time. One of these finished is an okay boss, the other is much less flattering and I feel nothing for what I did to them. Regardless, I'm curious to see what it all means later. Nice vid champ, absolutely 🔥 ideas and thinking about the world of elden ring
It's something I've only kept improving upon as I get more fresh returning looks at different parts of the game, and even more so knowing more on how the DLC fits into place a lot of details previously left open like signs of Messmer's heritage back in the Lands Between with the Volcano Manor and what not.
Good work man. The more you do it, the more it will come natural for you. Yes... like the above poster, don't move to a robo-voice, and also don't do subtitles. We're entering an era where authenticity is going to be a commodity. Keep it up.
@jimmyballer7047 as long as I don't start losing teeth that'll effect speech, a robot voice shouldn't happen.
Hey, love the way you think, so please don't take this as discouragement. Just some feedback/advice: You sound a little nervous/staccado, which makes it a little difficult to follow sometimes. A solution is to write your thoughts down, and read it out loud several times. That way, you get your nerves out before the real recording, and you become more familiar with your script (you'll have less pauzes in awkward places that way as well). Another solution is to add your transcript as the subtitles. I don't know how much work that is. Whatever you choose to do, though, just avoid the robo-voice. Please don't stop making ER lore videos. You're contributing a PoV/lens of interpretation to the lore community I haven't seen yet or seen applied to the places the way you just did (and I'm an ER lore junky).
I do hesitate normally to just place the scripting in video, because I usually see that as a good afterthought space to correct myself live or add onto whatever I was talking about. One example with this video was the Goldmask bit where I found the exact detail of reference that often got noticed by quite a few, but open to interpretation. For the most part though I did well to stay 1:1 with the script unlike the last time where I veered off towards the end of a later section. It'll have to be something I consider, but I find I start with a good confidence and after a while I get the concerns of how much of that energy I'm still retaining after 5-10 minutes, so I'll just have to try a few things to see what works best now, and how I improve in the future, but it might start off just separately reading off the sort of topics or sections I'm recording. In general, I really love finding and bringing attention to these sorts of things because I know most people are too busy only reading and not looking at how it's brought to life or done a bit differently from how you'd expect it. Castle Morne itself majority of what was the live inhabitants were viciously and suddenly replaced by Misbegotten by the time we get there, and their takeover is still underway. I'm often aware of how new the stuff I offer is because I might think of something and be dead sure of it like the Volcano Manor once belonging to the Erdtree and then find out in a quick google search of nothing else half relevant comes up to sometimes only getting Vaati Video results or something that doesn't go over the things I'm looking at. I find the biggest things nobody talks about in the world building and lore are very much all in Elden Ring and Dark Souls 3. Though my timing to bring attention to these things are pretty late for the DS3 stuff because all the attention went into Elden Ring by the community, meanwhile I figured out who the tree women were and that the lands weren't called Lordran still.
Long one here; My opinion on Melina is that she is a reflection of an aspect of the Twinbird. The Twinbird in Elden Ring is an entite half Phoenix and half raven, or a bird of life and death more specifically. Melina speaks many times to us, and reveals that she thinks this land is worth saving as births continue in this land, though she also mentions the land needs Death Indiscriminate. She can burn herself in the forge to open the way to death, showing a firm relation between both of these concepts. She is burned and bodiless, as if she died and her remains were burned to ashes. (This may be why she appears with spirit ash-like effects.) One eye is gold and ooen during the age of eternal life, but the other is sealed. Only once death is returned does she unviel the eye beneath the bird-claw as a purple one, similar to the Beast Eye that finds us deathroot. So she values life and death. Has two different colored eyes like the two sides of the twinbird. Her physical state implies a burial much like the one you can find in Death's poker descriptions, burned and bodiless. Her spiritual form is like those of spirit ashes. She values life, seeks equal death, and despises the concept of annihilation because that natural cycle is disrupted. Tl;Dr Melina isn't the Gloam Eyed Queen, but both of them probably are representative of the outer god, the Twinbird.
@@MossOwnsYouYT I do like this take, and it's one I hadn't seen before. Wish we got more out of the Twinbirds.
That build is so Clean and amaizing.
@aquilesgarciaperez5918 since then Minecraft has only tripled in block variety, so I'd probably be able to one up it modern day.
Write a script bro. It’ll help a lot, I listen to videos at work and I legitimately thought I came accross a down syndrome TH-camr because of how long it took for you to spit words out.
nighrein has less content than shadow of the erd tree, how can they justify it as a standalone game? Its a glorified randomizer mod and honestly I have seen more creative mods. Great video bro
I wouldn't doom post it yet unless it's actually short in the actual length. Fromsoft didn't show everything to it yet with the people who got to play it. In design it seems like they used Borderlands mechanics with Elden Ring, and Sekiro movement, then an extraction design with day cycles, only with reviving allies you aren't put in danger of slowly res-ing someone to just beat on them instead. Besides that, they completely overhauled how players work with each other compared to previous titles. Before if an enemy grabbed your friend, you were forced to watch in horror and hope they survived, but in this trailer you could just attack the enemy to free them. They also showed boss encounters that can better balance attention to groups of people as opposed to the linear 1v1 but 2 other people are attacking the same target in function. They've also expanded on group dynamic functions that synergize with the combat by changing around how inventory works and even leveling. Details like removing weight limit at a first glance seems unhinged, but I understand the director of the spinoff wants mobility relevant to the experience like in Sekiro. After a bit research, I realize Junya has worked as a designer with DS1, DS3, Bloodborne, and Elden Ring, so I think this is in better hands than the first glimpse could lead us to believe. In fact he was Elden Ring's battle director, so he's a big part of how the combat worked, presented, and flowed.
Yeah, that’s not because of bad development that’s by nature of game type. This is a spinner. The whole world’s been created. The whole idea has already been implemented. They don’t need to come up with something new Elden Ring / shadow of the Earth tree will be fun to play for years. You’re just mad because it’s not what you wanted. It’s not like it’s Pokémon pinball dude.
My guy doesn't understand repeatable gameplay
Less content? Do you know something we don’t?
been on the same camp as you for the longest time. there have always been a multitude of connections between demon's souls bloodborne ( some in sekiro ) but most importantly dark souls. When elden ring came out so much more was expanded upon, too much to list here, and yes the usual you will hear from other people is " asset reuse " or "" easter egg " or " imagine games being made by the same developer " Now while i do not think that all these worlds and events take place in the same world, i believe they are connected through a multiverse or seperate worlds but whitin the same cannon if that makes sense, possibly thru the use of " world trees" think ash lake and elden beast arena. The introduction of " outer gods" also blends in well with the multiverse or multiple worlds running parralel to eachother. EDIT: also seems to be the game's timeline braches off after the shattering of the elden ring. So im assuming every bit of lore prior to that is the same, but post shattering events possibly never happened like the demigod shattering war.
@DustDemonTwilight their use of assets and telling if things is notably clarified by Miyazaki and the other directors. But I can tell you there's genuine Easter eggs, but they're already well discovered or not what people are recognizing. A big thing in Elden Ring's distinction is actually what it tries not to be. This is part of how Miyazaki made it more recognized as Elden Ring than Dark Souls. Elden Ring is supposed to sort of mirror it, and so the NPCs along the way also mirror NPCs from Dark Souls. But I recently discovered that the NPCs in the DLC actually mirror Bloodborne's NPCs.
The GEQ has nothing to do with the land of shadow. She would have been referenced in some way if she was.
That depends on the perspective. If you want nothing to do with a figure, you might hide their nature as a thing of shame to your place. Just like Messmer to the Lands Between.
Awesome, I am glad someone mentioned it, and I am surprised I haven't seen the other lore hunters do so. The upper part looks quite different than Enir-Ilim, why is Mesmer fighting the opposite direction, and why is the scadutree right behind it? I feel from is too deliberate for it to be that excessive of artistic freedom.
@johncrondis4563 ever since DS3, I realized how deliberate the lore implications and map details are and that I couldn't entrust all of them were actually found even by the time Elden Ring came out, so I came to take my investigations a little more seriously on a lot niche things. I started at Soulsborne late, but I found a ton that nobody had ever brought up, and I actually Googled and TH-cam'd around to mostly see the same few people with lore on anything and some aspects similar.
Thanks for this. I have been wanting more GEQ lore, too many people are just sitting back saying "It's still Melina, even though we have evidence of it not being Melina", and you linking Scum Mage and Kitetales shows me you are on similar lines of investigation as I am. I am bad at coming up with theories but I am very good at making connections between parts of the game. Similar to you I have been looking at the Serpent Hunter and seeing Hornsent and Rauh visuals as well as similarities to the spikes impaling the frozen giants. The octogonal highly decorated hilt, the spiral and the storm/light moves. Dominula village has some clues. The blue hooded girls are what the festival is about, they wield a sickle (like a godskin), and have a cape with iconography similar to the godskin sigil. The other girls have flowers on their head, erdtree gold cape and wield a hammer (some a cleaver, and some a spear). I think that some kind of ritual was happening in Shaman Village, the GEQ was the center of attention (blue), but Marika basically betrayed the ritual (gold), killed GEQ and stole the purpose of the ritual (which also is something about flaying, sacrifice, etc.), possibly the gate of divinity? I also think there is a connection of Daedicer and Shabiri's woe, connecting the flaying to the frenzy, and we see the painting in Midras manse looks a lot like Shaman Village. We also hear Ymir saying the golden lineages roots are marred with "madness".
My so far understanding of Daedacar is that the Woe itself could be something of a torture enhancer leftover from the Volcano Manor's older generation and the first in line in relations to House Marais. At a first glance as to what makes the "myriad of grotesque childrren" misleading is strictly where we find the Woe, hovever Marais is the leading family of the Erdtree's Officials who are noble born and perform the darkest deeds in belief that it's only human nature and for the greater good, and signs of their presence stretches all throughout Altus Plateau and even as far as Mountaintop of the Giants with the Bloodsoaked Set and it's implications as the people who likely imprisoned Dung Eater also.
Melina being the GEQ makes more sense than whatever yall have been coming up with. The GEQ has nothing to do with the realm of shadow, she would have been referenced in some way if she was.
@rexwest4532 according to Crucible incantations in the Land of Shadows. It wasn't always the Land of Shadows. And the story DLC trailer suggested Marika brought gold and shadow. The Land of Shadows itself is the center of the Lands Between. This is likely to suggest it was removed from itself if not simply obscured out in the makings of peace, considering there was apparently some means an old establishment of friendly terms between Marika and the Hornsent. The story trailer though depicts some bloodier time unspoken of to the Divine Gate. And we cannot otherwise explain much to the success of "god hunt" of the ancient nobles. Marika became the primary god entity where the rest are very different outer gods like rot, frenzy, formless mother, or the Twin Birds. And the Marika's first lord defeated the Fell God of the Fire Giants after the Erdtree's order which plucked death upon its creation. You're otherwise suggesting Melina became more motherly and had many kids and told them to kill god.
If you take into account how Miquella took Radahn's soul to enact his plan you get a clear idea of exactly what Marika had done to the Gloam Eyed Queen. I think Marika had Maliketh slay the Gloam Eyed Queen, took her soul, and reincarnated her as Melina. I think Marika's plan from the very beginning was to ultimately destroy the Elden Beast long before she even became a god.
I think it's possible for the reincarnation considering the Frenzy stuff, but considering the grand search the Golden Order stuff for answers to resolve a stronger faith in it, I'm more led to believe Marika was somewhere more deeply invested and found signs that something was internally wrong and that it was hopeless from a long time ago. We learn from Gideon lore of dialogue and items we get from him that in some way things were already broken from quite some time ago. Then Metyr only confirms just how broken by at least the age relevance of Messmer before the Shattering, which we can know was before the Shattering because of his accomplices in his crusade, and it being after the Liurnia war. One thing I don't know is how deep the responsibility of certain damage is from the Night folk with Ymir, but it's very in character that he'd be a potential bigger traitorous factor at work even in the Lands Between. We're also never specified if Metyr's state of being was realized or not to the folks in the Lands Between such as Marika, only that Ymir is stationed on top as a high priest with personal motivations against the Greater Will's agent to replace them in some capacity. I figure there's something more to this to consider with it overlooking an earlier sign of Frenzy and its effects, but I can't be sure of one cause or another just yet. Whichever the case I think Ymir might've spoken of these flaws to others before us and caused possible infighting at Shadow Keep due to it's newer architectural nature, and yet surprising amount of damage to it; let alone the burnt human spirits there and wiped out Banished Knights armor littering only Gaius' boss arena.
I enjoyed the video! Thank you. I also don’t believe Melina is the GEQ. And I’m having a hard time believing Marika is her mother or Messmer’s mother, ultimately. I think after Maliketh killed the GEQ, Marika took the two children/babies, and raised them in her order…but I highly doubt she was really motherly towards them. You have Messmer who wants to do everything he can to prove himself to his “mom” and then Melina being like “what does it mean to be a mother?” Yeah, nah. I just don’t see it. Melina died somehow in a fire-no heart breaking words from Marika or anyone else were ever discovered about “her daughter’s death” (unless I’m wrong) and no words regarding Messmer’s existence. Even though Melina was burned to death and is bodiless, shouldn’t she have had one of those walking mausoleums OR some kind of memorial to her? It feels like they were the children to be kept hidden away, and we have to ask why. And…they just don’t look right. Maybe Radagon is the father but I’m sure there were others back in the day that had red hair.
This does ring an interesting point in the lack of noteworthy graves that I'm aware of, but I may need to stroll back through the game some more to see what might be a more quiet but peculiar detail besides that one near the minor erdtree church outside the capital's walls, but you're correct on the lack of heartfelt mentions of loss of anyone other than Godwyn to my knowledge with the fingerreader crone in the Deeproot Depths.
Melina says she was "born at the foot of the Erdtree", so I think Marika probably was her mother. Here is my theory, and a lot of this is speculation, so bear with me: - Marika escapes the persecution of the Shamans by hiding out in the Finger Ruins that her home village overlooks. It is there she encounters the Two Fingers and becomes an Empyrean. They guide her down a path of revenge and godhood. - Along this path, Marika is granted Maliketh as a shadow and forms an alliance with a powerful barbarian chief, Hourah Loux. At some point, she has a son with him, Godwyn. - out of a desire to protect her newborn son, Marika uses trickery to use the Hornsent Gate of Divinity to become a full god. Once she does so, she flees the area and set up shop in a surface outpost of an Eternal City. This outpost will eventually become Leyndell. The Hornsent discover her treachery and pronounce a curse upon Marika's children. - the War with the Fire Giants. During the war, Marika becomes soaked with the blood of the Fell God, which melds with her Shaman flesh and Radagon begins to form within her. Not right away though. - Godfrey and Marika have two more children, but both her affected by the nascent Radagon and the Hornsent curse. Messmer and Melina are born. - Radagon emerges, and becomes a separate being from Marika. The Liurnian Wars ensue. Because Radagon is separate from Marika, he is able to father healthy children with Renalla, one of whom is marked as an Empyrean by the Two Fingers. - per the Law of Regression, Radagon is eventually compelled to return to Marika. This causes his next offspring to be cursed. Both are born Empyreans, but the lack of shadows suggest that the Two Fingers quickly gave up on them.
I just can’t get myself into the metal state of someone who doesn’t see the obvious truth of Melina being the Gloam Eyed Queen. The Apostle served Destined Death, aka they served the Gloam Eyed Queen. Melina’s eye changed color and then she mentions Destined Death. It’s clear as can be imo
@austinlanger4767 i always seen it as her turning into a shadow like Blaidd. We don't actually hear of where shadows come from to Empyreans, but we know there's still entities that we can't explain yet like Wormface and the revenants. The people of night just want to replace order, and Melina's similarity to their Black Knife Assassins could verify she wouldn't have a greatsword and instead been an underling in service for something, but the Golden Order tends to not speak of a lot of things, and we know Melina is confirmed Messmer's younger sister which would mean to be GEQ she would have to inherit Death after Messmer.
It's because her identity as the GEQ seems to contradict her known previous identity as the kindling maiden. If Melina is the GEQ, why would she lead a Godskins Apostasy against the gods, while also being loyal to Marika and going on a journey to fulfill the purpose set by her? Marika had Maliketh defeat the GEQ and seal the Rune of Death; if she wanted Melina to pursue her goals, why ask Maliketh to stop her? Also, Ranni does not list Melina as one of the Empyrean children of Marika, but we know the GEQ was one.
@@tristanneal9552 Because they are split beings like Marika/Radagon, and Miquella/St Trina I guess. Or even more likely is Marika sealed her away in the same way she sealed destined death in Maliketh and the Serpent in Melina's brother. "Sealing away destined death" could have a double meaning as both sealing DD itself in Maliketh, and also sealing away The GEQ (the wielder of DD) in Melina. I am reasoning backwards because it is just too obvious that we are meant to infer that Melina is the GEQ
because elden ring is too complex for face value concepts to make sense sadly
@k2geekd I have actually a working theory concept for the lore to a fundamental level of what becomes the more believable scale. It's something that I call Inverse Lore Theory, and it's my take on how they wanted to make the game more Elden Ring and less Dark Souls, but it's a concept too broad to talk about in text structure alone. I might make a video on it, but I've seen a lot of lore people make similar small inferences well after I started looking into it 2 years ago-ish.
Hey man great video and great theories👍 keep it up and they will only get better and better. I look forward to seeing what’s next
Hey thanks! I really enjoy diving into the lore and reading into the little details where others might've stopped ever since late DS3, and I love bringing awareness to the bigger concepts that get ignored by mistake.
There is the sound of tapping your hands on the desk throughout the recorsing and its very distracting...
@FoxBatinaHat I have noticed that the mic I'm using picks up a bit of sound made under the table I'm using, but it's not exactly a good table. I'll have to look into preventing stuff like that a bit better. The mic itself rests on the table, so I think it's absorbing it more loudly than I hear it.
Second DLC will come with Godwyn and Gloam eye queen things will be revealed
@SnowMacaco I really hope so, there's still a lot of huge plot holes everyone's just filling the gaps for.
Didn't Myazaki already confirm there will be no further expansion or content on for Elden Ring? I think we can get hour hopes to the cemetary xD
@@murderycatdoll1380 Supposedly, they've got no further plans, but that's kinda what they said about DLC initially. What that means is now in the works or is being encouraged behind closed curtains is yet to be confirmed, but we know the DLC is basically doubled in content after a lot of content that they couldn't fit in sooner, but who knows if they'll consider a "whole" other DLC as opposed to something smaller sort like the Coliseum PvP update. Personally, for Elden Ring's size, I could see something like DS2's Scholar of the First Sin edition being a more effective direction with changes to the base game that tell things a bit further than before and expand on the more empty areas or previously cut questlines.
@@BlueAsterismSolstice 👌 Ok, well i would be cery happy about it! XD
This shit is "finished" they could barely get things in order by the time that fat grease ball they hired to make the pre game lore. All the pre day one content was scrapped and replaced due to this DLC being developed. It's why the lore is worse than Bloodborne's. Too many rewrites and not enough time. The game itself launched incomplete. Imagine 23 empty chests. Imagine different mobs. Imagine RoB with Faith scaling. Imagine whole ass weapons missing like the default Katana unless you go for the Samurai class. Imagine Frenzy being noted by purple in your build up. Imagine Maliketh having purple in his destined death attack. Imagine if they just wrote the damn game themselves. Not hard. All they do is rehash the same damn things over and over again.
I will apologize in advance. I'm sure you have great points on this theory. However, I've made it 8 minutes in, and have heard your phone go off twice and have listened to you pause like you are either piecing this together from memory or are being distracted by your surroundings. The best advice I can give for your essay, are find a way to make your theory more succinct which will shorten the video length. Or be more focused in your delivery so I will want to stay engaged with you. I am not trying to be rude, but I could feel myself wanting to disregard what you were saying because of how it was being delivered. I hope you will be able to present more theories in the future.
I actually used a script on this one for the first time in a while, and it's actually done wonders of shaving off perhaps 20-30 more minutes of what would normally be a bit of me vibing a bit of what I'm wanting talk about and getting off tangent. The bigger fumble I personally experienced actually happens in a later portion where I mentioned getting way ahead of myself because I knew it was going a little too far away from the topics I wanted to focus on. But I'll do better to have my phone on mute when recording.

it seems meaningless at first, but I kind of think that the Gloam eyed Queen might have been Marika's mother... we all kind of assume that she appeared later in Marika's reign or that she was competing for godhood with her, but the The fact that the death rune was specifically sealed shortly after the creation of the golden order makes me believe that this was the first act of Marika's reign, the golden order appears to exist and basically represent Marika's reign from the beginning, so this seems For me, long before Ranni was born or even Marika gave birth to Godwyn, the fact that it was precisely Maliketh who Marika sent makes me think that this could be before she even had Godfrey or Radagon on her side, the fact that apparently this was not having been a war and much more of a conflict just between Gloam eyed and Marika also makes me think that this may have been before she had an army or a group of followers to help Marika defeat the Gloam eyed Queen, and what makes me believe that she could have been Marika's mother is that all Empyreans seem to be from the same lineage, Miquella, Malenia, Ranni, are all in one way or another descended from Marika, the fact that Miquella and Malenia were born Empyreans by being born from a single god gives me even more the impression that the lineage has something to do with being an Empyrean, obviously someone would have to have become the first god to start this divine lineage but as we know that there were other gods and ages before Marika, I disbelieve that she was the one who started this, and what makes me think that gloam eyed was the goddess before Marika is that the death rune is obviously a fragment of the elden ring and that rune is mentioned as having been ripped from the elden ring, so how would the Gloam eyed Queen have access to this rune if it had appeared at a later point in Marika's reign? I personally believe that she had not only the death rune but also the complete Elden ring, making her a goddess, the body that may have been used to create the finger-killing dagger may not have been that of Gloam eyed's consort but rather that of Gloam eyed Queen's own body
I'm excited to see if the DLC contributes to the topic much in clarification. It's looking to have potential for Messmer to be in someway related with his pale complexion to that of the Godskins.
@@BlueAsterismSolstice If Marika is the daughter of the Gloam Eyed Queen it kind of makes sense that Messmer could be displaying physical traits that belong to his grandmother, the same can be said of Melina
Cool build bro just have no punish on ur stun but im willing to try it ❤ good for light and medium build but bad against heavy 😅
Would love to duel
It's been pretty fun for encounters overall and is based on my S ranking build. The leg type and weight makes it ideal for quite a few maneuvers. I've learned this booster generator combo in this setup is reasonably efficient for half frequent use for how well they recover without compromising more on weight. Overall, the punish is just being aggressive with what's available and it should amount half reasonable to most scenarios except tanks. Trying after B rank since this video, I've been better learning what the real list of flaws in the design actually are, but that's a lot of things I half expected after seeing people double zimmy with stun needle launcher in the past to speed run bosses.
Once I'm done with the Ranked grind, I'm thinking I might go back to custom rooms at some point to fight less meta sweat builds.
marika had to be behind the plot of the night of black knives when ranni says 'queen marika was driven to the brink" after Godwyns death... to convey some sort of 'plan-backfiring' and she didnt know he would die. Explains why Maliketh would feel 'betrayed'
Something I wonder is if it's true, then who did she think would die or what would have happened?
my guess is she didnt know Ranni would 'choose' Godwyn or the blade was tampered with to take Godwyn in the process @@BlueAsterismSolstice
@mfyrisingmayo1913 one thing worth mentioning to the topic of this is that we don't know where Radagon stood in all of this, nor when all of it was happening, so it's possible that he's perhaps more in on it.
youre right forgot that could also play into it@@BlueAsterismSolstice
Awesome stuff dude I am also a sucker for climbing shit in Elden Ring I could show you some sick ninja spots I found as well

Marais mask has the hairstyle of the person riding torrent in the DLC promo painting. Interesting considering the Malenia worship and the rider is almost certainly either Miquella or Marika.
In addition it’s called The Shadow of the Erdtree, and Marais is associated with the SHADED castle. There seems to be a really unnatural gap in the map between the consecrated snowfield and Altus plateau that I think could be where the perspective of the painting is from.
nice video , loving the speculation.
It's absolutely fun to look into for me, and I just don't see enough people making some of these suggestions. I think it's important to look at even the unusual details for possible answers and Elden Ring is physically made of them instead of second thought, unlike previous titles.
the sun is in game but its hard to spot because its very small, ive only seen it like twice but its in the game
I keep looking at bright patches in the sky, but I couldn't personally find anything conclusive. Though the absence of topic to it was the weird part for me. In fact the sunflowers in game suggest they point at the Erdtree. I get a lot of impression it's intended to outshine the sun for faith.

Man I loved this vid so much Same thing has been poking me since playing ds3 after Ds1; the link between lordran/lothric and how it fits after multiple linking of fire
In my playing Dark Souls 3, making the connection that Soul of Cinder is wearing a Lothric armor and has a cutscene of dragging a body through Lothric, it just plain confused me why he was only suggested as a deity manifestation. Overall, I'm thinking Lothric was elsewhere, resting at world's end, and maybe watching over as the first kingdom outside of the Ringed City, but probably too close to the Pygmies and their Dark for Gwyn's distaste, but perhaps more like a distant neighbor. At the same time I realize the modern prince of it is Lothric and perhaps back in time it was King Lordran. It's honestly been a lot of fun for me looking around for interesting details on a little of this and that, and until I sort out a tiny detail, I might not touch Irithyll in video too soon. I otherwise have a bit of history speculations around Velka I think could be interesting to look into, and so far a lot of it lines up, but I need to do a bit more digging around.
@@BlueAsterismSolstice But the Soul of Cinder doesn’t have the lothric crest during the boss fight; it's just the classic burnt knight armor without any traces of it's past. My theory is that fromsoft wanted the reveal (that SoC is actually THE final boss) to be hidden in plain sight; as they used the soul of cinder armor throughout all the promotional material and gameplay demos, so they gave the armor a lothric knight crest while showing it to public before its release. So after beating the boss you get the same armor used in the demos with the lothric crest on it.
@@BlueAsterismSolstice cool theory ngl. My doubts first started appearing when I discovered the broken alter of sunlight after a bridge (dragonslayer armour) just like in ds1; and I thought what if it was built up on the undead burg throughout the multiple linking of the fire in between. Made sense considering farron keep is basically the darkroot garden in the future; izalith and ash lake being underneath and stuff like that.
@@BlueAsterismSolstice Then again lothric can also just be a neighbouring kingdom like you said where the linking of the fire is supposed to have been taken place; but when Lothric rejected to link it; all the different lands from distant times started converging upon the kingdom of Lothric including Lordran; As we also see the remnants of Lordran like the old firelink (in the demon prince arena) stumped underneath a giant hollow archtree which it was originally on top of. Fascinating stuff really
@@EyesOnTheInside Something I wonder is if the kingdom could actually be Lloyd's as he was Gwyn's uncle we never meet, nor hear further of once called "all-father" who was deeply rooted with the way of light, spread to humans. This could also probably play some part in the naming role of things we tend to see of things that we can see a slight pattern in. Londo, Lordran, Lorian, Lothric. Otherwise I'm convinced the practices of making the golem entities is more of a thing of Velka and the corvians that once followed her.
Dark firelink is a thing from past, so is lothric castle and all the other places, the first time we warp to lothric castle we go back in time Yhorm has also been discovered to have a lothric crest on his armor, this crest thing is all over the place Also, the twinkling head and torso stones both being things for only one to achieve is tied to Hawkwood's questline
I know the questline linkage, but I wasn't too sure the details behind it. One theory I had to the relevance of it was that maybe it was a factor on finite stone pieces of the Twinkling. By that logic it would mean the closest to a real dragon someone could get for transformation would be those. Then maybe the other stones were considered yet faulty or lower grade in the same nature of Titanite to Twinkling Titanite. Thanks for pointing out the Lothric Crest on Yhorm, I never get a good enough look at his armor because we never get a version of it for us that we can tell too clearly, without a giant getting angry and trying to punch me in the face. It makes enough sense to me that he might as first of all he unlike other giants wore real armor, and he would have gone through Lothric Castle at some point in linking of the flame as they've built a throne for him. The only lord being throned I'd find questionable in the telling and portrayal would definitely be the Abyss Watchers as there's over 70 of them.
nasty ass wretched bird, love corvids me
Vaati did this already.
Vaati doesn't know what the angels are about and it's highly implied. I assume he misses other details.
@@BlueAsterismSolstice I should have pointed out that this was a joke, sorry 😔.
What occurred to me after having the video rendered is that Prince Lothric referred to us as a "purloiner of Cinders" a thief/robber of Cinders. I think this could be related to the over abundance of thieving crooks in the area or perhaps a proposition by the Pilgrims for that of usurping the fire for Londor's will that could have turned into a very ugly confrontation with a Lord of Cinder for the Pilgrims.
