Solo Motorcycle Trip in South Africa - Day 2
With 2021 written down in the history books and after finishing the Christmas special I wanted to do one last project at the end of the year. It didn't turn out to be the one I thought it would but I ended up having a lot more fun on my first solo trip. It's a lot easier to plan these trips surprisingly and I ended up meeting a lot of new people. Some of who really helped me out on my travels and some who I'll remember quite a while. Thanks to all of you for making my trip special.
If anyone is interested in having a video like this produced around your trip feel free to let me know. I'm currently in the middle of the Eastern Cape but I have driven far and wide for trips before so it shouldn't be a big problem. Happy riding!

I’ve been in England for the last 2 years working here and yeah the respect culture of boere in SA goes a long way. I’ve not seen anything like it abroad. The direction SA is moving towards is quite sad though as the boere culture is slowly disappearing. But thank you very much for the kind words! Impressed on a 800GS, what gearing did you use (tooth on front/back?)
I still run stock but going bigger in the rear or smaller in the front might help off-road. I’ve heard good things but haven’t tried it. As long as your willing to sacrifice that top speed! Let me know if you change it up and how it is!
@@pinesadventures I wen't one down on the front tooth, much better control offroad. Approx 6 % on the topspeed, doesn't really matter, I do most of the riding below 200 km/t 😉

Most of the 1200s were on Karoo 3s but I was using anakee wilds at the time. Since I’ve jumped over to motoz tractionators. I find them to be very tough but a harder tyre doesn’t grip as well! Happy riding!

@@EpicMotorcycleAdventures Karoo 3s are excellent! I just go through them a bit quick. They last me about 4k km if I’m lucky. The motoz’s I had on before these gave me 12k. They’re not a soft compound to in the rain it’s risky but they last long!
