OMG! Thank you so much for making this video. I'm terrified of gas. I always feel as if I'm going to blow myself up. My boyfriend lit the pilot light the other day. Well, the temperature dropped tonight, and I wanted to turn it up without having to call someone. You made it so self-explanatory. I just turned the dial to 1and nothing happened. I'm going to be honest, I became a little shaky. I turned it to 2, and it came on. I literally did a happy dance. Thank you for helping me to get over my phobia. You're the best!

I wished it helped, my problem is for some reason and yes I've tried several different batteries. When I press the igniter, no clicking sound whatsoever from the battery terminal. Any ideas 😢

I was at my wits end! The dehumidifier stopped working. My friend was supposed to take it out of the basement to the alley for garbage pickup yesterday but he forgot. I gave up trying to find the filter. For the hell of it I did a search and found you. I am so grateful for your help! Yes, they are expensive and not something I could replace right now. My pilot light lights easy and stays lit without the knob being pressed. However it goes out immediately when I rotate the knob to settings 1-5. Any ideas?

non~pro tip: clean this filter with lint from the dryer cleanout screen...

I have a question. Is it safe to keep a heater on pilot? My nana has done this for years. Once it starts getting colder, she'll turn the heaters on and keep them on pilot, lit, and if she needs to turn it, she does. Is it safe to keep on pilot?

Hi! We just moved into a house with a propane wall heater. We’ve never used gas before. I’m having an issue here, can you help maybe? I move the knob to pilot and hold it down, then push the igniter button, but it only sparks. I see it spark, but no flame pops up. Just sparks and goes back out.

Mine wont spark, i click the button to ignite the heater but cant even the button click. Any suggestions

Just moved into a rental with 3 of these as well as one baseboard heater (very large long one) I had no clue how to use one of these heaters. Appreciate the how to video. Landlord lit pilot about a week ago but I accidentally shut it off. So you are a life saver today😊 Don't have to call Landlord again lol

Thank you!!! 5AM Hubby is out of town working and it finally got cold enough we needed the heat for the first time this year and the igniter was dead! I am very capable of doing things without my hubby but this one I didn't even know where to begin. I thought it would require taking the heater of the wall and accessing the backside of it. I can't thank you enough for this short, sweet, and to the point video showing exactly what I needed to know!

Trying to start for the first time of the season in my she shed. Pilot lights first time, but can’t get it to stay on. I’ve held it for two full minutes to heat up the igniter? Last year had to replace the igniter. That’s not the issue. Ideas? Use a torch or lighter to heat it up more?
