Strathbogie Ranges Camping, James Reserve VIC & extra reviews (3 Sept 2024) #freecampingaustralia
I spent a few days camping at James Reserve Campground in the Strathbogie Ranges in Victoria.
Had two lovely nights all alone there this week. Possums, wombats, roos, wallabies and birds. Clean grounds & drop loo. Cute creek. Pleasant walks. Rocky Ned campground and falls eastbound on Lima East Rd/Tk. Moonee Creek Tk to Carters Lookout & Sandy Ck falls a little tricky for 2WD. Peaceful.
Filmed with a Sony HDR-X3000 and photos taken with Nikon D750. Edited with Vegas Pro 15.
Music acquired from TH-cam Sound Library.

    Loved the journey, mate! (And it hit the spot. Came back from a stressful day at work, and this was the first thing that landed in my feed. 🙂) First of all, love the name, Strathbogie. Relaxing to hit the trails with you. And I agree: love the rocks, but not the noise of the rec vehicles. And, as always, a nice song selection at the end. 😎👍

    Correction-the narrator, Simon Vance, is renowned. I have listened to many books by him. He does a fine job with the Afrikaans names and words, and distinguishes characters very well. But his voice is upperclass British most of the time.

    Its nice up there, the Glendinning homestead isn't far from where you were camping, we camped at Ferguson's for a few days (years ago) and my dog was growling then a huge ruckus in the water, like loud as but a fair way off, i awake in morning told the others they didn't hear a thing, that night just about to hit the sack, same noise, it was bloody Emus going flat out in the shallow water, just letting off steam, doing their crazy dance, super bright torch picked them up a few hundred meters away.

    You said you aren't a boxer. But if you had to hit someone, just supposing, how much stronger is your punch since hitting a bag? I have access to one in my local fitness center and have thought about incorporating it into a routine if it builds muscle and endurance.

    • @okidoke4822
      @okidoke4822 3 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I’m not sure if my punches are stronger because of hitting the bag, because it is a cardio exercise, but definitely I’m getting stronger from my weight training. Certainly my endurance and stamina have improved though. I suppose my punching speed would improve due to using the hand weights though. It’s a great exercise if you can manage to access a heavy bag. Thx for watching. 😁

    You shouldn't need to deload from weight training after 30 days. Especially if you've only done half a dozen workouts in a month.

      Thx for your comment. It made me realise an error, which you can note in the description. It was in fact a dozen weight workouts, but I wanted to get into the habit of deloading. I also trained every other day with cardio work, so by the end of the month I had become a bit worn out anyway. I averaged 1.75hrs training a day. And as an older guy, I did feel it, so I'd rather be safer than sorrier. Whatever works for you though mate. Take care. Thanks for watching.
