    This is really cool. ESP32 stuff has always been a little too power hungry. The other big flaw with them for battery life is how slow they are to wake (and then connect to Wifi). Every second at full power with Wifi enabled will burn hours of sleep time if your current draw is in nA. I think someone else mentioned the C6 and TWT.... I don't know if that will work with this method. I'm not that experienced with it, but I think TWT requires a separate power regime that will still draw more current than deep sleep. Hopefully I'm wrong though.

      Deep stop also works with C6. Power latch with external RTC turns off the microcontroller (ESP32S3, ESP32C6...).

    Very nice project and cideo man!! Thanks for sharing!! I have some questions. How did you solder the components? Is that a hot plate? How did you solder the bottom two connectors and other components on the bottom? If you used a hot plate for soldering the top components, you can't use it for the bottom components, can you? Where did you get the stencils?

      Yes, I used hot plate for this project. Top side hotplate, bottom side hot gun. Stencils by PCBWay.

      @@SalvatoreRaccardi I solved the issue . I need to know the max current and voltage that esp32c3 normally consumes . I saw it consumes 40 mA for esp32c6(active state) . So wt will be the same with esp32c3 ? Secondly , my device might be in active state for 12 hrs(max) , so just to calculate the maH of the battery .So which battery is preferable .The size of the device would be 25 mm*35*20 mm . are there such batteries available ?

      First of all, thank you for your comment. It is not user friendly because full documentation has not been published yet, also the version shown in the video obsolete(and user friendly ≠ open source). I made this video to share the progress we made during development; it is not a tutorial on how to make such a product. Also it is a product designed for industrial uses so you are for commercial use.

    Love the idea, catching up on your info and videos since finding the channel really would like to test these out any idea when they will be available and the cost? Right now I’m playing with an esp32h2 and sx126x as my option for a very low cost outdoor device I rather have the zigbee/thread over wifi myself maybe would be a goood idea for a version of your system Any chance you’ll sell or have a pcb to order for the deep sleep disconnect only to add to existing boards? Would love to be able yo have a micro pcb that just handles the deep stop on a third party esp32

      Sorry I'm only responding to you now. We are working on a fundraiser for the ELPM & OBJEX Link project. We also plan to sell some units to test the products we have developed. We have already developed the version based on ESP32-C6 + SX1262(yt video will be coming out about this version). I don't think we will manufacture hardware only with deep stop.

      @@SalvatoreRaccardi Grazie mille!!! Io ho comunque una domanda. Su internet ho visto molti moduli per il PPS,ma il mio problema è che io non so se questi moduli sono capaci di supportare 21Volts e 5Amper in modalità continua. Sapresti suggerirmi un PPS trigger affidabile? Grazie mille!

    I have been following the project from the very beginning. I enjoyed watching this video by constantly pausing and examining it. I think it took 20 - 25 minutes this way. It was like the premiere of a movie. :)) I was writing about the Sx1262 selection from the very beginning. It was also very good to switch to him. It's really moving towards perfection. If a cellular chip or even NTN is added to the module soon, it would be beyond ideal. :)) The only thing I would say about this structure is that it supports all program development infrastructures in esp32. (Arduino ide, esp-idf, microphyton, Platformio etc.). Thus, it would appeal to everyone, whether for educational users or those specializing in different programming infrastructures, and would increase its market share.

      That's right, the design has been redesigned precisely to give everyone the opportunity to use the module! In particular, having the ESP32S3 and SX1276/SX1262 in the same module simplifies use for both prototype and product(mass productions) development. We are working on other variants to incorporate GPS as well, for example.

    Hey... why do you use 5.1kohm for the usbc? usbc out is supposed to have 56kohm resistors according to spec

      The 5.1k resistors(pulldown) are necessary to allow more current flow. If you do not use them, you can only get 0.5A.
