Hallo, danke für deine Nachricht. Der Immobilienmarkt ist hier so volatil und ich bin darin absolut nicht der richtige Ansprechpartner. Ich hab zwar selbst schon mal gebaut, aber das sind schon viele Jahre her. Du siehst in meiner Kanalbeschreibung meine Email Adresse. Schreib mir ein paar Daten und Telefonnummer/WhatsApp von dir. Wo willst du kaufen? Je näher zum Strand umso teurer. In Kenia werden Häuser nach der Anzahl der Bedrooms bezeichnet. Also bitte Anzahl der gewünschten Schlafzimmer nicht vergessen. Kaufen oder bauen solltest du aber erst wenn du auf Dauer hier bist. Das spart viel Ärger. Und am Rande bemerkt, als Ausländer ist es nicht ganz einfach ins eigene Eigentum zu kaufen. Ich bin dir ja so dankbar für dein Feedback! Die Länge meiner Videos hat mich sehr beschäftigt. Ich sehe zum Beispiel neben ITCHY BOOTS auch gerne die Videos von MEIN REISETAGEBUCH und auch KINO YVES ... Alle drei kreieren Videos die 30 Minuten und länger dauern.... und ich mag jede einzelne Minute davon. Bitte nicht falsch verstehen: ich vergleiche mich nicht mit ihnen.... sie machen einen für mich sehr interessanten Content...und der braucht halt seine Zeit 🤗

@@TomInKenya Es gibt sicher Content, den kann man problemlos in 60 Sekunden packen und mal eben im Vorbeigehen konsumieren… und solchen, dem einfach nur ein längeres Format wie Deines gerecht wird. Ich nehme mir die Zeit sehr gerne und genieße es jedes Mal, eine Weile abzuschalten und in diese Welt einzutauchen… passt für mich auch sehr gut zu dem im Vergleich zum hektischen und lauten deutschen Alltag sehr viel langsameren Rhythmus in Kenia, gerade an der Küste. Vielleicht hat da ja auch die kenianische Mentalität abgefärbt - Du kennst sicher das Sprichwort: “Gott gab den Europäern die Uhr, aber den Afrikanern die Zeit”? Danke für den Tipp, die von Dir genannten Kanäle werde ich mir sicher anschauen! Liebe Grüße nach Kenia und bitte mach‘ genau so weiter wie bisher! Kwa heri!!

Which kind of oil did you use?

Hello dear Angelika, I used a commercially available industrially refined palm oil to which vitamins A and D are added. In contrast to our selection in Germany, rapeseed oil or sunflower oil, for example, are hardly available, or if they are, they are very expensive. I was particularly surprised when I found peanut oil for the first time: the price blew me away! And that in a country where peanuts can grow in any garden. I remember from my time in Germany that peanut oil was particularly cheap. I really liked using it for frying and grilling at high temperatures because it is ideal for this and is also neutral in taste. I use olive oil for Mediterranean dishes and salads. You also have to dig deeper into your pockets if you want it "extra virgin", i.e. from the first cold pressing.

🤣 You want to lead me up the slippery slope and see how I slip on it 🤣 Unfortunately, I have to disappoint you because I'm not really a cake baker. I recently baked an apple and vanilla cake on shortcrust pastry at my daughter's express request. It was my birthday present to her. OK, it was a success...but I won't be making it again. I love baking bread and my own pizza creations. But cakes? Yes, the village cake, that was really fun. I will bake it again....in my electric oven 🤗😘🤗

​@@TomInKenya oh that's interesting! So I think you can maybe also use coconut oil for baking. Then you will have a little coconut flavor in it 😉. Rapseed oil is what I mostly use for baking here in Germany, the taste is neutral. Olive oil is nearly as expensive as peanut oil at the moment. But olive oil is very very healthy and delicious for meat or vegetables and so on.
