Im also getting 100 celcius with i9 10900k in cyberpunk maxed out, im just day after repaste with thermal grizzly krynaut, and windows 11 blocking me the option of undervolting.. but as i see the temperature is same as You have here, looks like i need to live with that.

What were your tempertures before adding liquid metal?

Im never being able to get more than 20-30w of PKG power and i have this exact same laptop setting, does anyone know why it could be? No matter what I do even if its just browsing internet i am always having 98-100 c in temperature.

Not sure it's a good idea to hold liquid metal over a motherboard. Plus you don't know what it looked like when the heatsink was bolted on.

these laptops are absolute dog shtttttttt these youtubers only see how these laptops are out the box i know first hand this alienware laptops dont make it past the first year you better buy extra warranty their quality on their heat sink fans are cheap china crap that breaks within the first year even after they replaced them with warranty they broke again and again. it gets so hot that the thermal paste is not good enough so you need to maintenance your laptop every year by replacing the heat sink fans and re aaplying the thermal paste

A perfect solution!!! After 5 hours of ripping my hair, it finally worked. When installing AWCC I was first having issues with it getting interrupted. Then after following the steps it worked!!!

In my case I opened it up and found that one of the laptop chassis screws had a nut that must have fallen off and got stuck to a speaker's magnet. Must have happened when it was assembled, the laptop came like this. Removing that finally my crackling gone.

Just found this videoand liked and subscribed. I recently bought a second hand X17 R2 and I'm reading a lot online that the BIOS locks undervolting. Would I have to downgrade to BIOS 1.8.2? I'm currently at BIOS 1.19

You have to turn on the full power fans in bios and xmp in bios and performance mode to over clock yes in the bios. lol

hey bro thanks a bunch and much love from Canada, Alberta i havent been inside a laptop for years now and all these latches and sequential screwing / unscrewing woulda broken me if not for a real G wingman! so I removed the old paste, element 31, which was plastered all over the motherboard like some child was learning to drywall in their sleep but then an earthquake ruined it all I then tossed out the CPU Barrier because the whole thing would need a holy baptism by God himself to clean it up but he doesnt take liking on alien stuff anyways :D so I applied Noctua NT-H1 (normal thermal paste) and put everything back to check it out, needless to say, it was bad, so it was time to disassemble it again and try liquid metal. I left the newly added thermal paste there, made a clearing in the center so the thermal paste would act like a frame / barrier for the liquid metal when it would compress down (this was important cuz we tossed out the old diaper of the CPU Barrier) So putting everything back together, ran some stress testing and its a huge difference but I think a new patch of Element 31 beats all cuz the GPU temps weren't as good as original (80c max) overall, might be better to just get Dell to put in their element 31 stuff but it will cost :/

if anyone see this video and planning to do as this video. you gonna have bad time with LM in the future. find someone know what they are doing. this guy didnt know how to use LM. this guy know nothing about surface tension of LM, and that amount of LM can fry your laptop if you bring it around. search for Gamer Nexus or Linus Tech Tips video for the right way to use LM. dont just follow someone that has 0 knowledge but making guide video. these people just spreading missinformation. for the sake of your own laptop, dont follow these kind of video

How and why are you running such a high ring ratio compared to the p&e cores?

Thanks very much. Just applied Liquid Metal and thermal pasted the GPU. Made the world of difference to my X17 R2. Much quieter (fan), cooler to the touch and the frame rate is no longer stuttering. Boosted my cinebench multi core by 1000. Cheers 👍

In addition to the ports on the back, the bright blue lighting on the back makes it almost impossible to see them without a flashlight. VERY inconvenient.

Hello, I belive I have this same exact model, Ive used it to play tarkov and other games as well as school, it heats up like crazy and recently it started going into rest mode for a small period of time, since I bought it I had the impresion that there are certain games that have trouble running despite the specs wich I belive are good enough for any game, I would like to know if the very high temperature is normal and what should I do about it going into rest mode? Thank you and sorry for broken english.
