What color settings on kodachrome?
@@_alliswell +2! Sorry I forgot it
Agreed that the canon has better ergonomics out of the box but add a grip extension to the Sony and it makes a world of difference.
@@PaulChoate-s4v I don't even feel like I need one with the Sony
If I just want to do similar talking head videos like this one, will an Osmo Pocket 2 also do?
@@curiouspov if your doing talking head videos I'd sooner get a mirrorless camera like the ZV-E10ii, or Fuji XM5. You don't really need the gimbal for talking head videos and you'll get better image quality from the camera I mentioned above. I definitely wouldn't use the pocket 2 for talking heads. I never used one but from my underhanded the jump from the 2 to the 3 is significant
hi selichrome ev what?
@@스프라이트-m9c I snoot in full manual so EV doesn't really matter to me. I'd say just shoot for the proper exposure for the scene
Music is distracting. Music is ok if singing, but distracting when instructing or reviewing
I love kodak gold 400
@@danidero I've tried it a couple times and never fully jive with it
I have a Canon 90D, but when I switch the full frame mirrorless, I don’t know if I should stick to Canon and go with the R6 Mark II or switch to Sony and get the Sony A7IV. I’ve been looking at the Sony Alpha subreddit and I’ve been loving how the photos look.
You shouldn't look at camera based on how phtoos taken with them look, as odd as that sounds a good photographer can take good photos with any camera and get a similar look on any camera. Base your choice on things like ergonomics, button layouts, lens selection, etc... Hope this helps!
I'd like to know your video settings. The motion looks smooth and sharp.
I just follow the basic rules. Shutter speed is double your frame rate, aperture and iso are adjusted for the proper exposure. Always keep an eye out for good looking light and good angles. The more you shoot the better you get!
Canon will soon release the R6 III and then Sony will, no doubt, release the a7 V... Canon need a better range of quality lenses.
@@colinmeredith7114 A7V has been rumored for 2025, personally I wouldn't expect it untill mid/late summer or fall. I'm hoping we see a new version of the A1 and an A7siv/FX4 before the A7V
Its just the same with pd. 🫣
Nice video man.. The last three sims you talked about look really interesting. Gonna try em on the X-T5. I'll report back !
Good luck! Hope you get some good shots!
Still haven't bought my first Fuji yet but that day is coming! Congrats on 2,000 SUBS!!
@@YonnyDigital you just need to full send and get one already! Thanks dude!
Someday I will get a Fuji so I can try these, until then I will keep enjoying your work !!
@@evansalmonsen you need to get one already! 😂
Can you not use a recipe and create the same effect in post?
Takes a lot more time and skill to edit in post than it does to use a recipe. Also Lightroom will never be able to match the same exact look/feel of a recipe imo. It can get close but not perfect.
bright summer is one of my top 3. liking royal gold, might try it sometime
@@michael2968 royal gold is super underrated imo! Can't go wrong with bright summer on a Sunny day!
Which recipes should I try next?
Found your page from a link you posted on reddit... I can't stop watching your videos. Cannot wait to try so many of these
Glad your enjoying them! Hoping have another episode out next week!
BEAUTIFUL work my man! I love playing with different filtration whilst out and about. Congrats again on the 2k milestone btw!
Thanks dude! Appreciate the support! You've got to come to NYC and come on a photo walk!
That’s incredible seeing the Aurora borealis in one of largest cities in the world, thanks for sharing
@@AreOle_photography yeah I never would have thought it was possible!
Looks like a lot of fun! I wish you would’ve gotten a chance to see it from where we were at, but sadly nothing.
@@EasyTigerCreative I'm still shocked I saw it!
So so cool ! I’m actually suprised at the settings you use in my head I thought you’d have to use the same settings as you would use for astro and that focus would be a challenge but they look fantastic !!
@@evansalmonsen it's pretty similar to Astro. I think from what I've read for the norther lights you need a fasted shutter speed because it's moving more
Have you seen the Northern Lights before? What was it like?
Is it hard to edit for beginners? And thinking about reviewing stadiums is this a good option?
@@TafadzwaMusekiwa-t5b it's no harder then editing any video from your phone or other camera. That being said there's always going to be a learning curve with editing video. I would look into the camera rules at the stadiums. Cameras are often restricted. You may be better off just using your phone for that.
selichrome works with the XT5?
It should! It may look slightly more blue as the X-Trans V sensor renders blues a bit differently. So maybe consider using -1 blue rather then -2. Either way you'll get great results!
Great video! Loved the insights on the black diffusion filters. It's awesome to see how the 1/8 and 1/4 strengths perform in different lighting conditions. The comparison really helps in choosing the right filter for the desired effect. Also, the photo walk with Easy Tiger Creative looked like a lot of fun! Looking forward to more content like this.
Glad you enjoyed it! Thanks for sending the filters out to me!
Its telling from your photos that 3 days is certainly not enough time to learn enough about the GRIII. What you shared are mostly underexposed, it seems like they were taken in cloudy conditions, the blacks are too black and the photo of the person smoking is out of focus...
Nis make the best ones!! I have done some cool street photography and some Portrait work with them as well
@@nevvanclarke9225 like I said in the video, I think they all have a pretty similar look. I just really appreciate the value K&F offers.
@@selishots yeah, they are good value. I have to admit for price wise they're probably the best mid price ones. I actually teach Photography at a pretty high-level in my country where I live and a working professional and K+F are actually pretty good.... The one reason I choose Nisi .... Is they clean really well? I don't have a TH-cam channel because I cannot be bothered with it. I'd rather teach people face-to-face and make money from that which does really well. I have about six different programs where I live for all levels of photography. There's a lot of money in teaching people Photography there's very little money in TH-cam.
I use the 1/4 whenever I throw a filter on. I love the look in the city since there's a bunch of neon signs everywhere or just light reflections bouncing off buildings and stuff
Yeah the 1/4th in the city at night is pretty hard to beat! Do you use 1/4th during the day too?
@@selishots Yup, both day and night whenever I remember to throw it on 🤣
Agree, K&f are both affordable and good, nice review !!
Yeah I couldn't managing spending more on a brand like polar pro when K&F has such good quality and value
@@selishots agree
a6600 in 2024 is a good buy?
@@mave_jr I still think so but it's also very situational.
Really like the look this gives , k&f seems to be really solid
@@evansalmonsen they offer a crazy value, especially with filters.
Great review bro! A lot of fun going on the photowalk with you and seeing you take these photos live! Loved the photos and your thoughts on the filters! 🤘😁
Yeah it was a blast! Thanks for all the B-Roll!
@@selishots thanks to you too! Can’t wait for next time!
Hi, do you get vignetting on the edge of your video using the vnd filters from k&f?
@@Jay_H0931 yes but any ND filter without hard stops will have vignetting. To avoid it just make sure you don't have the ND set in tween the darkest and brightest stops it can provide
Return it for an original and give it 6 months. It’s impossible to like the Ricoh GRIII at the beginning.
Your video title calls the camera “the S-X20” - it is the Fuji X-S20.
Typos happen, good catch!
Actually overrated
It's not a pns
great video
@@DeciSiv3 thank you! Hope you found it helpful!
@@selishots I was planning on starting a irl style channel and your review made me to pick this one instead of other cams. great review fr. also I came from the reddit post you made comparing this to gopro
@@DeciSiv3 good luck with your channel!
I keep trying to figure out if I want canon or Sony and I’ve watched sooooo many videos and it’s making the decision harder instead of easier lol
@@lisazeigler8630 you can always rent both and see if you that stuck on a decision!
Any person that describes a camera without punctuation in his ‘speed speak’ don't even take listen.
Very nice!
@@legiosworkshop thank you! Appreciate the support
Looking to get this for my Fuji; the flaws in the corners would be less noticeable on APSC and I've been looking for a small but fast telephoto lens. There's plenty of 50mm-ish and small vintage lenses, but they become bulkier with the adapter which sadly defeats the purpose of getting a small lens, this makes more sense as there's no adapter needed and no need to worry whether it got fungi or not. I already got another cheap manual lens (7artisans 35mm f1.2 Mark II) and since Fuji doesn't really have the best autofocus, I really prefer using them as well.
Good point.👍🏻
@@shira_yone the size of the adapter for vintage glass is a great point! For some reason I didn't consider that when filming but I'm glad you called attention to it! I think TTartisans has more glass for Fuji then some other mounts, defensively worth checking out what they offer! I haven't tried 7artisans yet but I'd love to in the future!
Fantastic review and amazing shots, as usual! will need to look into this brand! I've been super impressed with viltrox len's for price to performance, never heard of these guys before!
@@youkay11 they are definitely worth checking out! They've got some lenses that are pretty unique and at a great price point too! I haven't used viltrox lenses yet but I'm super interested in trying them
I know a lot of people don't like manual lenses but I always preferred adjusting my f/stop on the lens. I get no auto focus can is a deal breaker for some people but for the price, it's not awful
But also, finding a good vintage lens for the right price might be a better option 😁
@@YonnyDigital yeah, I love when lenses have the aperture on the lens. I think it's also becoming a bit more common again. A lot of the higher end GM lenses as well as some from sigma have aperture on the lens body.
@@YonnyDigital yeah exactly, super fun little lens bit vintage glass would probably be my go to. Do you rock any vintage lenses?
Good video Ben
@@BRollBenny thanks dude! Appreciate it👊🏻
Looks like a great lens! And a cool way to practice manual focus. I really like the images this produces, not everything needs to be tac sharp
@@evansalmonsen yeah definitely a great way to practice manually focusing. Sometimes we take too much advantage of how easy AF is now
A compact cheap lens to just go have fun isn’t so bad! Looks cool!
@@EasyTigerCreative exactly! It's a great lens to just have fun with! Definitely made me interested in checking out some of their other lenses!
What is the cheapest lens you've used?
