    If you're looking for an APSC camera under $1500 what would be your choice?

    I’m an r7 owner and if this camera was out when I had bought it I would have been with Fuji. This has better video and I think the prospect of having those features like recipes and vlog mode would have had me putting out content much sooner and having a lot more fun with it as a beginner.
    That first hump of getting through the learning curve to be able to produce some decent photos is probably where a lot of beginners will quit. I think having The option to get the photography “bug” from shooting with recipes then having the opportunity to shoot raw once you learn more is amazing . Not to mention how much more Fuji supports its apsc lineup with lenses than canon does.
    Great review!

      Totally agree, getting over the first learning hump is the hardest part, and having a camera that makes it easier is HUGE!
      Also Fuji is the only brand that takes apsc seriously which definitely gives you more confidence in buying an apsc camera

    Have been eyeballing the XS20 for a while now to help with everyday documenting!(both photo & video). It seems like a sweet little shooter and very reminiscent of my XT3 back in the day. Excellent review brother! Concise and to the point. Much love from Tennessee 🙏🏼

    can you test the handheld stabilization when walking and panning?
    you say the A6700 is same or worse that's wrong, the A6700 has the best Autofocus in any apsc camera for now
    fujifilm compared to the others has the worst autofocus and AF tracking even with their latest update

    • @selishots
      @selishots  6 หลายเดือนก่อน +2

      While yes Sony has better AF and I would never claim otherwise there's a lot more to a camera than just autofocus. I think often people think autofocus is the only deciding factor when purchasing and that's just not true. I'd say Fujis current AF is about on par with the A7iii, which is still very good, not the bets but not bad.
      I did find the Fuji stabilization to be a bit better then my Sony A7iv, however I don't have an a6700 to compare the stabilization with.
      All the video footage from the park or subway is handheld with ibis.

      @mdenjoyer831 6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@selishots but the problem is the A7iii was released 6 years ago, meaning fuji is 6 years behind everyone, Sony, Canon are the best Nikon and Lumix taht were bad all catched up now
      i like everything else on the fuji specially the colors and film simulation but i get so many pictures out of focus that it becomes useless if your picture is out of focus, if a person is going towards you it loses focus, or starts jumping everywhere

    • @selishots
      @selishots  6 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@mdenjoyer831 just because it's not the best doesn't make it bad.
      I shoot on Fuji Sony and lumix and I never get all my shots in focus, sure some times it's more then others but if you take your time to adjust your AF settings, figure out what works best for your style of shooting you can get plenty of usable shots even on old Lumix AF.
      There is a skill to using autofocus and I don't think that's talked about often enough.

    how would you compare it to an Xt5 as a beginner camera? i'm leaning towards the Xt5 rn with the Xs20 as being pretty neck and neck

    • @selishots
      @selishots  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      I could see that being a hard choice. I think if you want to vlog and shoot a bit more video you'll appreciate the flip our screen and less rolling shutter of the X-S20. If you're shooting more photos the 40mp of the X-t5 is nice but also not needed, especially as a beginner.
      Budget also comes into play, your better off getting an X-S20 with 1 or 2 good lenses be and X-T5 with one budget lens. Lenses matter just as much as the camera body.
      Hope this helps! Let me know if you have any other questions!

    Your video title calls the camera “the S-X20” - it is the Fuji X-S20.

    From what I've seen so far, A6700 produce sharper photos but I love the look of X-S20 more. It's hard...

    • @selishots
      @selishots  7 หลายเดือนก่อน +3

      How sharp your photos are really offten comes down to lenses more then anything. A good lenses make a huge difference in photo sharpness.
      The big advantage of the a6700 is the AF. There is no doubt that Sony has better AF.
      I would make the choice by looking at lens options, and future camera lineups. You can't go wrong either way!!!

      Someone woke up on the wrong side of the bed! When you have more then one video on your channel and the guts to put yourself in front of the camera for video after video then you can talk shit, until then stop trying to be a keyboard warrior. Have a good day!
