"The Velvet Rope" is most definitely Janet's best album to me. My all time favorite from her. Absolutely no skips, her most personal work, and I loved her looks during this era. The red hair and septum piercing was everything. Great video.

I’m not an expert on which ones sound the best because I am still new to vinyl collecting, while I’ve been collecting since 2018, but I haven’t listened to every record. My must have for albums would definitely be her debut, music box, daydream, butterfly, number ones, glitter, emancipation of Mimi, caution, and rarities. When it comes to singles on vinyl, I like the emotions that has that there’s got to be with a way singles as well. I think it’s the second emotions single from the US., dream Lover one that you showed, Anytime you need a friend with the David Morales remixes., Fantasy, always do my baby, honey, butterfly, and loverboy. There’s many versions of them, but it’s the purple one with her on the car.

The I Still Believe/Pure Imagination remix is probably my favourite Mariah remix and it sounds amazing on the 12"

What a fun video. I gotta say… 20 YO was a great album and really a celebration of R&B music and you can most definitely hear the JD and Atlanta influence. My personal fave is The Velvet Rope… with Janet a close second. She is a true Artist and innovative.

Afrodisiac ( I also have noticed tons of people saying in recent years that this is their favorite, it wasn’t that way sometime ago 👀 though I’m glad people are finally coming around and seeing it’s greatness) is my personal favorite album from her, it takes me to a time and place, it’s quite nostalgic for me. I lived through this era in real-time, when I listen to it I feel like a pre-teen all over again. To add, Human(it’s truly underrated, the pop sound worked so well with her voice, I loved the unreleased tracks from this era as while) and 2/11 also have a special place in my heart.

LOVE Afrodisiac! Brandy looked incredible during that era. It's my third favorite Brandy album, after NSN and FM of course. My top three are the title track, I Tried and Should I Go. I think Talk About Our Love wasn't the best choice as the lead single.
