Oh my goodness. I understand the pushback. It’s a busy main road and pulling out of a driveway is hard enough. I don’t live there anymore, but I can guarantee my mom is going to hit someone on a bike backing out of her driveway. Posting this shows you don’t actually respect the thoughts and ideas of those living there.
We are so glad you were biking on our beautiful street! Our big concern with the plan was the statement there would be “vertical separation” with posts at 16-32 foot intervals, thus our concern for emergency vehicles. At the meeting last night the first thing the project engineer said was “that is no longer a possibility”. We are very happy about that and believe there will be a plan that all of us will be happy with!

Rock on! Thanks for sharing this chill vid. My husband and I spent most of our dating days biking around Erie for hours, but once we moved downtown it was just too unsafe. I love that we may be getting a trail that connects all around. I'm hoping people can see how this is such a great step for overall inclusion too. I'm an ambulatory wheelchair user and we truly need to start thinking of other people's needs. Sidewalks aren't safe or accessible for many wheelchair/scooter users too. It's not just for bikes ❤️. If the drawback is people have to slow down on that street for safety reasons? I don't see how that's a bad thing.
