I like the original colour and i agree with loosing the fender cut out for spare. I had a '59 Willys pu back in the mid 70's that i had adapted what if i remember right was a 189 inch Chevy stove bolt 6 to the 3 speed floor shift. It was great, but suspension was very hard. I like your project.

I know this is late to the game, but you are using the tack rag wrong. You need to unfold it completely and make a very loose ball. Otherwise it can leave some of the tacky liquid on the surface.

I have a 57 truck that I plan on doing the same swap as you. How are you planning on keeping the 4x4? Are you keeping the factory push buttons or converting it to manual 4x4?
