Welcome to BassFeed, where I share my passion for bass fishing in the beautiful state of Washington. My goal is to teach and inspire other anglers through my own experiences, while providing valuable tips, and tricks to get these big bass to bite. Whether you're experienced or just starting out, my videos can help you improve your skills and catch more fish. From exploring new lakes and rivers, to trying out different techniques and equipment, I'm here to share it all with you. I may not have a ton of experience, but what I have learned is undeniably beneficial to me and can be for you. So, subscribe now and help the channel grow into the bass fishing HQ of Washington State. Let's fish smarter, not harder! Tight Lines!
If we get any success from producing location based info to local anglers, might partner with anglers and have other channels devoted to states/regions - would be fun if it worked out.

EPIC Late Fall/Early Winter Bite - Western Washington Bass Fishing
Here are catches from the last few weeks, what a close to 2024! I reflect & forecast, plus a few tips.
So for those of you that are worried about your lake’s secret spots getting out, these breakdowns aren't going to be cheap so I don't think I'll end up doing very many, just super thorough for those that are super motivated. And there certainly would be a gentlemen's agreement not to share with others... For what it's worth.

What’s one of your top 5 favorite smaller lakes for large mouth. I usually try to stay with non gas motor lakes cause my boat is small. I’m in Snohomish county!
@@kalebellis9952 What part of Snohomish county? I find most of the smaller lakes have absolute monsters, they're just hard to catch other than march-may
@ I’m in Everett but I work in shoreline so sometimes I’ll bring the boat with me hit a lake after work, but tend to stay on north of shoreline for fishing. Just got into bass fishing this year and so far lake bosworth and crabapple have done very well for me, but they are closed in the winter.
@@kalebellis9952 I don't really fish up that way around shoreline, but near Everett panther, shoecraft, Gardner and Cassidy are all pretty good for largemouth.... You would be surprised how many of these little lakes have some nice bass in them.
Hoping to spend some time on this lake this season. Also congratulations on the kiddo!
@@brockosullivan3518 Thx bud. There's 4 lakes on here but I think I know which one you're talking about
Lake Washington by any chance?Im looking for a reliable smallmouth lake.
@aquaaaa.10 Lake Washington is solid if you're in the right areas. Where you located?
@BassFeedWA I'm on thr other side of the sound, in bremerton. I kayak fish btw so I'm open to alot of areas
@aquaaaa.10 Not sure about good smallmouth lakes out that way but some good largie lakes 👍🏼👍🏼
Very helpful seeing how slow you’re fishing. Cold bites!
Just watched a breakdown on my home lake for free! Lol. You’re crushin it man.
@@finsformation 🤫😉
Great video! Thanks for sharing your bass wisdom with us all. Do you have any advice for the anglers out there that like to fish from the bank in the winter in W WA?
@@34hpayne hmmm... That's a whole different beast. If you're fishing a shallow pond with largemouth, I would go with a small swim bait, paddle tail, or a Chatterbait, weightless senior If you want to pick apart the water a little slower Don't be afraid to dead stick it. If you're fishing a big lake that have small mouth, I would pick docs with deeper water nearby, and I suppose I would lean more towards a drop shot or football jig since you have limited amount of water that you can cover- very slowly and meticulously.
@@34hpayne *weightless senko
Wish i could afford the FFS or had more time to get after it. I agree November through January can produce giant bites. I just use regular 2d down scan, so its a little tricky not seeing the schools, or my bait for that matter, but i agree keep that bait moving, and if your fishing the bottom bump them rocks as much as you can. Sometimes though deadstick on the bottom giving em a look like 120 seconds will convince em to eat as well. Keep after it big guy. See you next year.
@@royhawes5111 Yeah, and these fish are glued to the bottom more and more every passing day, I cant even see on ffs. I target cover/structure even if I don't see them. Once those spots are found though, you can fish it without electronics.
@@royhawes5111 Winter is when I have time since I'm a landscaper, that's my slow time so I'm getting after it while I can. See you next year Roy!
What lake is this?
@@Maxfishingbc Multiple lakes ...most from lake Washington
I honestly can't understand how u catch bass in Washington bro I've only been able to catch one over 2 lbs
Mostly persistence my friend
Thanks for the tips
Whoa, HUGE thanks for dropping some serious juice. You're the first I've ever heard in the area talk about bass movements and behavior as specific as you did, this is key fundamental stuff that requires a lot of time on the water to understand so I can't thank you enough for helping someone like myself who has just gotten into year 2 of this!
@@GoodByeSeeYou you are very welcome! I'm just having a blast out here and just wish more guys get to experience this... I think I might actually look forward to winter fishing every year depending on how this one goes 🤞🏼... If it's anything like last winter 🐷🐷🐷
@BassFeedWA Haha there's a reason why some select OG's say this time of year is their favorite I suppose! I'll see you at Freeze Your Bass I'm sure 😁
Years ago when I fished with eastern Washington guys they through Black & Blue quite often.
@@arthurdsoto5751 Can't beat it in certain lakes... Overperforms on a few lakes on this side of the mountain as well. Always worth throwing, especially early spring imo
Did you run 6 gauge wiring when upgrading the trolling motor or is it still 8 guage and did you hardwire the TM or swap the connection to a 70 amp plug?
@@jasonburtonfishing I should really know the answers but I don't, Cabela's did the work before I bought the boat. I hope they did everything properly🤞🏼, so far everything is working great
I have a 2024 175 TXW Pro Team with a 60hp outboard and i can say its a good boat..my only complain is the seats.. i owned the boat for 3 months and the seats are ripping itself out..might aswell change them
@@frazixgaming5532 Yep .. My only major complaint as well
good stuff bro
Also crazy thing is I just got that S-Waiver 168 in the same trout pattern and been meaning to throw it, as I am trying to get into glidebaits myself. I also got a Double H MIR JR, only used it a couple times so far but it got a very nice glide to it.
Wow, nice fish haven't fished Alder in years as I only got a 12ft aluminum with only a 4 horse gas motor or I would be fishing it more for sure. I do fish Ohop a good bit as I live right in Eatonville.
@@evannation4842 I only fished for this tournament, but I really enjoyed it... It's a beautiful lake. I wish it wasn't so far away, I would fish it quite a bit. The guy who got 2nd was smashing largemouth on top water, not sure where he was finding them but he was getting plenty of nice ones
@@BassFeedWA Not surprising my one buddy fishs out their and gets drilled on spooks in 30ft of water, largies and smallies.
@@evannation4842 Love it... I'll make my way down there again soon hopefully
Where is this?
Can you do a late summer/early fall video. Where I live in northwest washington it’s starting to transition into fall right now. Longer ,colder nights. Shorter cooler days. And Dropping water temps.
Yep, fish are moving already. It gets tough but the fish group up and feed, so those who find those fish still have great days.
Very helpful video man👍
Solid video
Imo the technology advances so quickly with fish finder's no matter what you have preinstalled into the console makes it more difficult to upgrade down the line. Even pro bass fishermen with top of the line boats and top of the line evetything have external mounts.
Haven't thought about it that way...that will certainly make the upgrade easier
Winter smallies - blade baits
@@markhogquist2000 Gotta add that to the list 👍🏼
I think you have great content, how ever the language is awful.
Not bad. I prefer carpet. Poor quality but it is cheap.
@@rogerglasco5941 I still love it, can't complain considering I spent $10-20K less than some other guys who have similar setups
Basically everything was negative.
@@302vettelife2 It might have come off that way because it's easier to focus on the negatives. But I really enjoy this boat to this day and have no regrets on buying it. Just have to remember, you get what you pay for.
I like your videos watching someone from my state. I really liked your tournament on Alder Lake, it's one of my favorites. Keep a tight line & good fishing. GOD Bless you & yours.
Hows the spot lock on your force? Ive heard a lot of people say its real bad and you tend to move around and just wanted to know your opinion.
@@coltonmeade5250 Pretty Good but I have other complaints with it. I probably will make a video on it soon.
I live an hour up north from alder lake. Any way to join you someday ? would love to learn bass fhsing. Just got my rod and all types of baits but gettin a bite has been more than difficult on 3 diffrent lakes.
@@artk9360 It's definitely a challenging undertaking. But there is a lot of content out there to help New anglers like you. I'll try and drop some more videos as well to help
How’s it handle rough waters? Any worries of hitting a wave hard and denting the hull or cracking?
@@BoostedMK6 Nope, and I'm hard on the boat overall, holding up great!
Just thought I'd let you know after your swim jig video I had the most fun day of fishing I've ever had. Caught four 4s two 5s and a couple 2s in the span of about an hour. I owe that all to you. Keep up the good work.
@@BrandonJ148 That's what I like to hear! Glad to hear some are soaking it in.
Really enjoy your videos! I fished a few opens last year and I found myself reluctant to leave bites to find bigger fish elsewhere. I got limits, but didn’t find quality fish.
gave you a like & it still is at ZERO Just Saying
@@arthurdsoto5751 Probably slow to register...thx for the like
You did really well for not fishing Alder much, you fished two of my favorite spots. I've hammered them there, I caught a 22lb bag of small mouth on one of those locations that included an 8lb smallie. They do eat the trout patterns, but the Kokanee patterns are king. I'm not going to say much more about that. little bit surprised it was a two day tourney, most out on that lake are one day. What club are you a part of? PS, that river to sea was my first glide also. Boy what a can of worms that bait opened up for me.
@@livewire2k4 Damn, that lake has them then. I should make it back. What should my next glide be?...I was going to buy a couple more to play around with this year.
@@BassFeedWA honestly there are so many to choose from. Then it also depends on the gear you have for throwing them. I can tell you this, you can't go wrong with a Deps 175 or 250, but I probably throw big boot tail line thru or harness baits more than glides. Wake baits can be deadly too. PS. don't sleep on the 6" magdraft ;)
@@livewire2k4 I use magdrafts quite a bit. And heard about the deps, might go with that. And I'm in love with a hand made wooden frog wake right now
are you in CA? is that cannabis greenhouses? lol looks like your on a grow farm
ah, WA. lol
@@davecfishing7907 Gotta make a living and pay for my fishing habit 😉
@@BassFeedWA LOL Lucky!
So I see they haven’t made any changes to the cooler. I have a 2019 and it’s just like that
Correct. 🤷🏼
What lake is this?
Noticed you're using a left-hand reel. So much better! No switching! Which lake?
Some backwater off the Columbia. Agreed, especially when you've fished spinning reels for many many years before using a baitcaster
Do t the matches literally spin?
If you mean latches, yes
Great review thanks for doing this! One question is how does the Tacoma pull it? Especially on the long trips? I have a 2019 Manual Tacoma and plan on getting this boat or a variant of it.
Surprisingly not bad at all...but I do have the 4.0l, not sure if thats the reason or not
Great video! I'm excited to try out the swim jig this weekend. Best information I've seen on a bass fishing video in a long time.
Finishing up the video. Great stuff Feed. So cool to have a local who actually teaches while fishes (some of the pros videos are just product placement), fishes our local waters, willing to show his mistakes, and is willing give up some of his skills (and secrets). I heard editing videos for TH-cam can be daunting at times so I sure appreciate it. This channel needs more followers!
Good day to wake up with a vid from the Feed!! Appreciate the information!
Music has to go!!!!
I'm currently looking into the targa v18. Debating between the vinyl or carpet. How does it affect the rods and reels laying on it?
I haven't noticed any damage but I suppose that would increase the wear and tear laying on the vinyl vs carpet. Great for cleaning but otherwise I like carpet.
What kind of glide bait is that? I typically fish alder for kokanee but if the fishing is bad I'll switch to bass. It's great watching someone that knows what they're doing bass fishing, I'm kind of a one trick pony and just drop shot for them...
S-waver 168 trout color... Seemed to work really well when I was there last June I think it was. Drop shot was also pretty effective but that glide was really working well
@@BassFeedWA S-waver 168 TW Phantom Trout is another good one, it's kind of like a kokanee color. GREAT Job!
Great video. Beautiful hoop houses to!
Haha thx
Agreed, this was the turn off for me and without the in-dash fish finder I looked elsewhere. You would have thought the TX edition would truly be tournament ready.
Yeah, the term "tournament edition", is an overstatement, but good enough for me to win 7 tournaments last year 💪🏼
Hey man! Your videos rock. Just wondering, why don't you ever use a bait casting rod?
Thanks...Grew up with spinning rods so I use them mostly unless I fish heavy cover, finally got a swimbait combo and a top water combo just least year lol. Didn't really stop me from catching Giants all the time, but everybody keeps telling me I need to use them so I'm finally building up my arsenal
