What is this weird uncanny valley fucking stuttering artificial intelligence voice you're using? I love your contents for its insights, but you absolutely must put more effort into the oral delivery. Either take more time to spell everything correctly and avoid frequent typos and use a single, high quality text to speech service , or just orally dictate the thing in your own voice. If you're concerned about anonymity, just use a high quality voice changer. This is very nearly unwatchable because of all the weird stuttering involved. It sounds like a robot trying to sound like a person, and it's just weird. It almost sounds like you're stringing a bunch of replies to various comments about this weird after pull together. Many of the things said in this video appear to have been plucked from some other conversational context . There are Bots you can pay for that perform a very similar operation in TH-cam comments, basically copying other people's reply to things and leaving them on other videos so as to appear original. This channel is either a very uncanny experiment in social artificial intelligence or, more likely, run by someone who wants to do as little work as possible. Mad weird.

I think the best strategy against Jerry is hook dragging backwards to the end of the pad, neutralising his flop-press that tries to overpronate the opponent and his sidepressure since his arm is extended. However the only ones i see doing this are shorter armwrestles like Ermes and Muratov.

I agree with the title but not as much of the reasons mentioned. I think muscle mass is important in the right places for armwrestling, doing benchpress might not be the best even though the best armwrestler does it. The closer the exercise is to armwresting movement, the better it is for armwrestling, its called specificity. What devon is doing is improving neuromusclular output and tendon strength at the start position, 0:33. That training does not give as much muscle mass as your normal hypertrophy workout. Strength = Hyperthrohy + Neuromuscular output. We need both hypertrophy part and the armwrestling specific exercises to improve optimally. What you should do is incorporate the exercises devon is doing closer to your armwrestling matches going to far from failure, if you are training for a armwrestling match months ahead then i think you should do hyperthrophy work to grow the muscle, bigger muscle is always a stronger muscle.

genuinely sound advice. However the new pullers will get much more from simply getting table time one or two times a week than they will from any kind of weights. Pull once or twice a week and do recovery work at the gym not strength building. When first starting your CNS and elbow tendons CAN NOT handle table time and lifting. I have seen people try and do it over and over and every single time after a couple months they stop showing up to practice due to elbow pain or a wrist tweak they just can't get rid of. If you want to get strong at arm-wrestling then arm-wrestle. When you get over the beginner pains then add in gym work.

I would agree if the beginner we're talking about is new to training as well as Armwrestling. Many Armwrestlers come from other sports where they've had more time to build general strength, work capacity, and intuition for their training. For those people, they could hop into both gym training and Armwrestling off the bat (albeit, carefully). But if the person has little to no training experience, then I 100% agree they should be just Armwrestling in the beginning

Devon’s hook is not even a hook.. He shoots his shoulder in and end up in a press position and gasing opponents out. Barely ever seen devon in a real hook
